"We'd better practice on horseback, too." Peter said suddenly, stopping in his tracks. "Since it's likely we're going to have to ride horses at one time or another."

Susan and Felicity were still practicing archery then, and Lucy was practicing throwing her dagger at one of the free targets, and her accuracy was increasing with every throw.

Edmund nodded. "Good idea."

Peter then turned and headed back towards the camp, and within a few minutes, he was able to locate a horse for Edmund to use, as well as the unicorn that he would use.

"Thanks," said Edmund. He mounted, and waited for Peter.

Peter nodded, then mounted quickly and drew his sword.

Edmund drew his sword, as well, and followed his brother.

Evelyn paused as she heard hoofbeats, and looked up at the boys riding. "Oh, <i>so</i> not fair..." she muttered jealously.

Susan and the other two girls turned to watch.

Once close to the archery range, Peter turned the unicorn to face Edmund, then noticed how he was holding his sword, and he shook his head slightly.

"Come on, Ed, sword point up, like I showed you!"

Suddenly, the beavers came running toward them. Edmund's horse reared up, and he tried to calm it, saying, "Whoa, horsey!"

"My name is Philip," he said irritably.

"Oh..sorry," he said.

"You'd better come quick," said Mr. Beaver. "The White Witch has requested an audience with Aslan."

Peter looked at the Beavers sharply, as did Susan and the other two girls.

Mrs. Beaver went to fetch Evelyn soon after, and when she arrived, everyone had already been assembled, and Jadis was already coming. She came up beside Peter, and asked, "What'd I miss?"

"Not too much so far..apart from a load of titles for the Witch." Peter said, shaking his head, as Ginnabrik continued shouting titles and other meaningless stuff. About 5 yards from Aslan's tent, Jadis' throne(thingy, whatever you call it..) was set down, and she then walked towards Aslan, who had just come out of his tent.

"You have two traitors in your midst, Aslan." Jadis stated, and Aslan looked at her calmly.

"Their offense was not against you."

"Have you forgotten the laws upon which Narnia was founded, then?" she asked icily, and Aslan growled low.

"Do not cite the Deep Magic to me, Witch. I was there when it was made."

Then you will know that the boy and girl belong to me." Jadis said, turning to look at both Edmund and Felicity. "Those two will die on the Stone Table, as is tradition."

At that, Peter drew his sword. "Come and take them, then!"

"Don't!" said Evelyn, putting her hand on his elbow. "There'll be a time for that later," she whispered. She put pressure on his elbow so that he would lower his arm.

Peter kept his sword up anyway, and Jadis turned and regarded him scornfully.

"You think that a simple threat will deny me my right, little king? Aslan knows that if I do not have blood as the law demands, all of Narnia will be overturned, and perish, in fire and water."

"Enough, I shall talk with you alone." Aslan then said to Jadis.

"Peter, there'll be another time," she said. She watched apprehensively as Jadis and Aslan entered the tent. She eventually sat down with the others, occasionally glancing sympathetically at Edmund.

Peter sighed and sheathed his sword, before sitting down.

Evelyn looked up sharply as the Witch and Aslan walked out. She quickly stood, along with the others. Edmund looked on anxiously, awaiting his fate.
