[[Well, here's the Anniversary vid as promised... minor black spots and it should work fine... oh, and there's a bit of "intimate" scenes, primarily with Cole/Lotty and Cutler/Keyara. But you really need to sorta squint to see them, so it's nothing too bad.

[[All right, mates. What say we pick this up and run with it? No use in sitting around and complaining how we wish it would pick up again if we don’t do anything about it! So thus, we find ourselves several months later, having escaped Port Royal and on our way to find Jack Sparrow on Cannibal Island. :pirate: ]]

Jack Sparrow, the most notorious pirate of the seven seas, took in his surroundings. Trees, miles of trees, hills rolling into the distance and… toes? Yes, toes. What better way to worship a god than bestowing upon him the remnants of a sacrifice? He picked up a big toe and inspected it carefully. Interesting… very interesting… Before bringing the appendage to his mouth and gnawing on the dirtied toenail. Not bad… a tad too crunchy for my tastes, however.

But he was forgetting the pressing matters at hand. His crewmates were trapped somewhere on the island and more importantly, the ceremony was about to begin. The word ‘ceremony’ here having the meaning of lunch, and Jack knew what was on the menu today.

“Eteyog, taon riya-ya ihed rotete.” (“My lord, a strange ship was spotted.”)

Jack had hardly noticed the cannibal that approached him, glancing over the man painted in green and yellow. He spit out the toenail he’d been chewing on and motioned fervently to the servant. “Well, go on - go get them! Hes remuya neba lom-lom momotel. Pela-la!” (“And do what you want with them. Get ‘em!”)

“Pela-la!” The tribe chanted and sprung into action with makeshift spears and arrows strung up, abandoning the clearing entirely. As soon as he was sure they were gone, Jack jumped up and ran, arms flailing wildly, into the unknown.

---------------------------------

A cry rose from the deck of the Dowager Duchess. “Land ho! The Black Pearl is in our sights!”

Varianna leaned over the railing of the ship, the wind wildly tossing her hair about her face. It was a beautiful day, made all the better with the fact that they had finally caught up with Jack. The Duchess crashed against the waves, making her way further inland for the crew to disembark.

The past few months had been nothing less than eventful. After making their escape from Port Royal, the merry band of pirates finally rallied on the docks and boarded Alanna’s ship to find Jack; a task which was difficult in itself, as it seemed many different stories about what happened to him were drifting across the Caribbean like the ocean’s tide. But finally they’d caught wind of a ship with black sails on an island not too far from their coordinates.

Vari glanced backwards and caught Edward’s eye, glaring at him as he passed by with Sam at his side. Cole had told Vari about Edward’s marriage proposal in one of his retellings of what happened that day in Port Royal, and at first she had been shocked; then anger set in, the want to gouge Sam’s eyes out with her nails and rip the other woman to shreds.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned…

After all, that was how the saying went, and it certainly held true for Vari. Sam was going to find out one of these days that she was playing with fire, and Vari would make sure she’d get burnt.

[[Right then, do as you wish... I'm leaving it to PD to post for Beckett and anyone else can jump in when they feel like it. :) ]]

[ Oh my, Ara! Vari is frustrated indeed. *laughs evilly* This is going to be fun! I'll post later this afternoon. ]

Sam walked together with Edward over the deck of the ship. Her appearance seemed to radiate a sort of happyness which no one had ever seen her like before.

Sam thouroughly enjoyed every moment of their long journey in the search of Jack. She didn't care in the least why they were after him, well.. if in the end it had something to do with money she would be slightly interested, but for now she just enjoyed the sea, the sun and the company of Ed. She laughed at him, teased him, talked with him or just looked at him.. never had any woman been happier than she was.

The Redhead had been relieved that Edward had remained true to his word. Although the first few days things had been awkward, after all had Ed been severely wounded and they had just escaped from the Commodore's clutches. After their short meeting with Norrington she'd been surprised that he had not recognised her but then.. she had only last seen him when she was a little girl.

Sam noticed Vari as she walked passed her. Their friendship had certainly cooled down after they'd been reunited. Sam didn't know why Vari blamed her. She had done nothing wrong. Edward had never made any commitment towards Vari, on the contrary when Ed and Vari last had seen each other Vari had been engaged to Chandler, so Sam thought. Sam on the other hand still blamed Vari for her unresponsible behaviour as to lure them to the Applegate mansion and for the fact that Edward had been shot.

“Land ho! The Black Pearl is in our sights!”

"Finally!" Sam cried out and she looked at the beautiful green and lush island. "It looks breath-taking don't you think?" she asked Ed.

Up on deck, away from the rest, Cole and Lotty quietly talked. It had been a long couple of months for him. True, his heart had always been into adventure but the sudden turn of events in his and Carmon’s life had been… difficult to cope with. He daily wondered how his mother was doing and how things were going in Port Royal. He found himself missing the old, usual life and, in short, sometimes he was absolutely miserable. However, he felt lucky that he wasn’t quite as miserable as Carmon. She had remained below deck most of the time. Since they escaped Port Royal she had become ill not only with seasickness but also because of the stress and horror of a completely foreign environment. During these difficult months Lotty had stepped up into Cole’s life. At first it was a very formal acquaintance, but after some time it had developed into… well, what was it? As Cole was pondering over this Lotty exclaimed, “Oh! We’re here!”

-----------------------------------

From nowhere came Joe. He slunk up next Vari and, in amusement, watched her gaze daggers at Ed and Sam. He chuckled to himself and shook his head. “Looks like someone’s a little jealous,” he said nonchalantly, running his hand over the railing of the ship and studying it as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. “don’t tell me yer still mad the little redhead got yer beau.” he turned his eyes to Vari and looked at her closely.

-----------------------------------

Lucette was sitting on the bottom step leading up to the quarter deck, her head in her hands. She watched all the action going on on deck in preparation for landing. She didn’t bother to even raise a finger to help the crew out. She sighed loudly. This past month hadn’t gone as she had planned and somehow she had ended up on this ship with these low-class people. What was she to do now that her plans went so awry. Well, she thought regretfully, the first thing she never should have done was trust that vile Joseph. Though, in truth, did she ever trust him? Or was she using him and it just happened to turn out bad for her? Either way, it was easiest to blame him. But what to do now? Go with it and hope that somehow she could get some money out of these vagabonds and their adventures? It was about her only choice.

-----------------------------------

Lord Beckett, now comfortably situated in Port Royal, surveyed the city's harbor from his office room. Everything was going as planned except… who would get the Chest? He was still no closer to being in possession of it and its precious contents than he was before. Well, that was why he had brought that Keyara Pierce… but could a woman do it? He doubted it. But perhaps a woman with some troops. Equally, he doubted it. But what about a woman with the desperate, now imprisoned James Norrington? He smiled maliciously and ordered an officer to bring Keyara Pierce and James Norrington in immediately.

(so I figured… ummm, we could just have Norrie become arrested instead of end up on Tortuga… hopefully that’s ok with you, Will? Then Norrie and Keyara can go look for the Chest and I guess Cutler would have to sit out for a time. He doesn’t really do much in DMC anyway :erm: I dunno, it's been a while since I've watched DMC but I guess we're not shooting for being JUST LIKE the movie...

No Emma ‘cause I’m still trying to decide her fate… and no Carmon because, well, she’s ill)

“Utterly beautiful,” Ed replied. He wasn’t looking at the island or the ocean. He was looking at Sam; into her dark eyes - the very ones that had captured his heart. And in all truth, she was beautiful. Wind whipped red tresses framing a tanned complexion accented by delicate features… How did he miss this during their early years of pirating together? “Ye’ve truly helped me these past few months; physically, mentally, emotionally… spiritually.” He took her hand in his own and gave it a firm squeeze. “My heart races whenever I simply look at you.” Edward placed Sam’s hand over his heartbeat where the white buttoned shirt was opened; next to the scar from the shootout that had taken place at the Applegate residence many weeks prior. “Samantha…” he breathed, placing his hand over hers and bringing their foreheads together, “…I love you, so much…”

---------------------------------

Vari raised an eyebrow in Joe’s direction. “Mad? Mad doesn’t begin to describe it, Kerringston. She should be thankful to wake up each morning without a blade wedged in her throat…” She dug her nails into the ship’s railing absentmindedly as thoughts of Sam screaming helplessly as she died a slow and painful death raced through her mind. Shaking her head, Vari snapped out of her daze to turn and face him. “And since when’ve ye cared about my feelings?” Her tone was incredibly softer as she looked into Joe’s eyes, searching them for any sign of deception. But Joe was a hard person to read, and it was unclear if he was teasing her or offering his sympathy.

---------------------------------

It had taken quite some time for Lieutenant Groves to find Keyara sitting beneath a palm tree on the sandy shore of Port Royal. Her knees were drawn up to her chest and in her right hand was a book bearing a worn green cover. Her left arm perched upon her knee, chin cradled in the palm of her hand as her eyes darted back and forth over the pages; coming to the end of one and turning to the next in anticipation. The gentle breeze of the ocean blew loose curls of flaxen hair about her face. But Keyara did not care, or even notice that she was being watched. She looked so peaceful and he hated to interrupt her, but lack of obeying orders meant risking his job and income. Lieutenant Groves cleared his throat loudly and she looked up.

“Good afternoon, Mr. Groves.”

“And same to you, Miss Pierce, but I’m afraid we haven’t the time for chatting. Lord Beckett has requested your presence in his office. So if you would be so kind as to follow me…” He trailed off and began walking back in the direction of the East India Trading Company’s Caribbean headquarters.

Keyara marked her book with a strand of ribbon and walked side-by-side with the Lieutenant through the cobblestone streets. Albeit it wasn’t a long way back to the headquarters, Keyara felt that it took near a decade. Why would Cutler be asking for me? A million ideas raced through her mind even as she stepped through the doorway of his office and saw an almost unrecognizable James Norrington; his powdered wig replaced by a mop of dark, scraggly hair and a beard long due for a shave. His hands were bound in iron shackles - a prisoner of his own actions. Foolish actions, Keyara thought standing next to the ex-commodore as they waited for Beckett’s orders to be given.

[[Yay! I love how this is going so far… I especially can’t wait for the three-way sword fight between James, Jack & Will… muchos fun! :teehee: So, Will - I figured Keyara and Beckett could be rather unsure of each other and maybe both feel insulted by each other… For example James thinks the assistance of a woman is degrading and Keyara feels like Beckett thinks she’s defenseless because she needs the help of a man… Make sense? :erm: So basically they wouldn’t think too highly of each other at first? Sort of like an “I don’t need you to help me” attitude towards each other. I don’t know what you think about that… ‘cause now I think I’m just rambling.]]

[ Ara! Vari scares me to death :P Oh and about Norrie.. I think it's perfect that he's going with Keyara. They will make an awesome quarreling couple :P I think I will change James' motives for stealing the Chest though.. I always hated him for betraying them all to Beckett. ;) ]

"Now did your mother never teach you not to lie?" Sam answered teasingly when she noticed Edward was talking about her. She'd to get used to the attention after years of being on her own. Her past had made her modest and even ashamed of herself.. but not with Ed.
She laughed at him. "Well you were a physical mess indeed when we got on this ship.." Sam poked Ed between the ribs to make him laugh. When he placed her hand over his heart she smiled sofly. "I love you too" she murmered.
For a few moments she rested with her head against his and then tore her gaze back to the island.

"But Mister" Sam continued teasingly "we need to find a chapel soon.. I cannot wait to marry you."

-----------------

James Norrington felt absolutely horrible. Those few months in prison had not done him any good. But what nagged him in these months more than the rats and the ghastly food was doubt. Why had Beckett kept him so long in prison? He should have been hanged instantly for the crimes he'd been accused of.

When suddenly he was taken from his cell to Beckett office James was at his guard. He knew the man's reputation and therefore concluded he was up to something. Upon standing in the beautiful furnished office with an unknown woman appearing at his side, he realised how dreadful he had to look.

Shrugging that feeling off, he looked at Beckett wondering how his prospects had changed.

[If anyone think we should keep the romance somewhat down just say so.. or just ignore us :P ]

Lotty quickly went to help the crew members prepare the ship for landing while Cole stood there rather worthlessly. He was still green in this area… in anything to do with running and working ships like this actually. Feeling rather useless Cole stole away below deck to see how Carmon was doing. He hoped she would be able to come up on deck very soon. The fresh sea air was invigorating and might help her recover quicker. Carmon was weak, he could see it in her face and in the fact that she had lost weight but Cole had never worried over whether she might die or not. It was just seasickness and shock, after all… and bad food. But there wasn’t much to be done about that. Why worry? he ignorantly thought. “Good afternoon,” he greeted her weak smile.

--------------------------------

Lucette got up and walked over to the railing of the ship. She gazed on the peaceful seeming island. Why would the Black Pearl be there? But, oh, what a sight it was to see the Black Pearl! She had only ever heard stories of it and its captain. How must it feel to be in control of such a vessel? Her eyes sparkled with lust. Her mind reeled with ideas. Perhaps a great majority would foolishly go on land and then she would be able to take that vessel for her own and sail happily away. High tide was coming… it wouldn’t be hard… not if everyone left. She scanned the deck. Most of these people would probably happily go with whoever offered the most. And if she offered service on the Pearl they would probably stupidly follow her... after all, it was better than working on this ship. As she looked over the deck, her eyes fell on Joe and she sidled on over with a winning smile on her face.

Out of the corner of his eye, Joe had seen Lucy gazing on the Pearl but he had ignored it ‘cause he was with Vari right now. “Really? Remind me not to get on yer bad side then,” he joked at Vari’s violence. “That’s just it, Pierce, I don’t care about yer feelings. I only came over here to figure out why yer so mad. Blackhaven ain’t much of a catch. No man should act like that around a woman... 'specially one he likes. He’s feminizin’ himself. Women like strong men. Men that can defend 'em… and protect 'em.” Joe puffed himself up as if he was exactly that sort of man and Vari should fall for him this very minute… but not fall too hard. He didn’t want to be marrying or anything stupid like that.

“Joseph,” Lucette glared at Vari, hoping she’d leave. “I want to talk to you.” she hissed in his ear.

--------------------------------

In front of Lord Beckett stood the horrible looking former Commodore Norrington and the not-quite-so-wretched-looking Ms. Pierce. He gave them both a piercing gaze (each for a different reason) for a moment before beginning. “I have summoned you both here to fulfill a little task… a favor, if you will,” as he talked he wandered to the large window, his back to them, and looked on the harbor, “for me.” He turned around and looked them over again. “You, former Commodore, look quite wretched. How would you like to change all that? Reverse your soon-to-be tragic destiny?” he dangled his offer out there and let it hang there for a couple of minutes before continuing onto Keyara, leaving Norrington to ponder over his honey-coated threat. His tone to Keyara wasn't quite as... charming or fake-charming as it were. “Ms. Pierce, you cannot fathom that I allowed you to come on this journey for nothing. I believe we discussed this when we first embarked from London? If not, we shall discuss it now. All three of us.” he sat down at his desk with a fake, empty smile on his face, resting his hands on his desk in a business-like manner.

[feels rusty at playing Beckett... hmmm, I'm curious to see what your new motive for James will be, Will. :D but since I'm totally unoriginal I think I'm still gonna have Beckett promise James all the same things that he does in the movie if he gets the Chest... does that still work for your new motive? :erm:]

[ Have fun Lothy! I hope to see you back soon to join in on the fun too :)

PD- I'm not qiute sure what his motive will be.. My thoughts were that he accepts the deal with Beckett, but betrays him afterwards. I don't want Norrie to give Beckett the chest :P

Anyway, can't wait until Ara has posted :)

And did anyone here anything of Pan? ]

[ Of course you may join Mae.. although this is a kinda slow paced RPG.. we're at the moment at shore of the island with the caninbals. So I'm not sure when we're reaching Tortuga.

Consider this as a bump. ]

[[Actually, I do believe Maeth could jump in right away, along with PD, seeing as Will and Gibbs & the rest of the Black Pearl’s crew are stuck in the round cages made of bones at the moment. :D And Jack’s just trying not to get eaten. Ha ha.]]

Vari rolled her eyes at Joe and looked back towards the water to hide the smile twitching at the corners of her lips. “Yer such a card, Kerringston,” she replied, punching him in the arm none-too-lightly. “But I do believe that’s the first bit o’ truth ye’ve said this entire venture. Ed’s not himself anymore. Not since we left Port Royal. She’s got him wrapped around her finger…” Vari snuck a peek towards the spot where Ed and Sam stood and watched their loving (and quite sickening) exchange. “It’s disgustin’…” she spat enviously and made a face as if having just tasted something rotten.

Vari eyed Lucette as she strode over to them and crossed her arms over her chest. Speakin’ of rotten… “Make it quick,” she nudged Joe before making her way down the gangplank and onto the beach and waiting for the rest of the crew.

---------------------------------

“Unfortunately, finding a chapel will have to wait ‘til we’ve found Jack Sparrow,” Ed sighed, pulling himself away from the charming redhead. He watched Vari disembark the ship out of the corner of his eye before turning back to Sam. “But I promise you, one day it will happen.” He lifted her hand and placed a kiss to the back of it, all playfulness gone from his eyes. “Samantha Blackhaven… certainly has a nice ring to it, aye?” A warm smile spread across Edward’s face as he looked at his soon-to-be-wife.

---------------------------------

Keyara fisted a handful of cloth from her gown and wrung it nervously as Cutler spoke. When his eyes met hers, she glanced downward at the polished floor and listened as he addressed James, only briefly looking up when her name was mentioned. Drawing in a deep breath, she spoke, “I have not forgotten, Lord Beckett. I believe the terms of our agreement were thus: in recompense for allowing me to join you and your men on the journey here, I would retrieve, for you, the Dead Man’s Chest and its contents.” Her eyes shifted to James, who was watching her closely.

[[I apologize for having to godmod Norrie a little bit there; I sincerely hope you don’t mind, Will. :erm: Sorry for this being really short, as well… I feel so out of PotC right now… :( Though I must admit it’s always quite fun to write for Keyara. ]]

(OKay, here's my OC profile. AE do you mind if add a bit of back story with Jack in it?)

Christine Geddes
Age: 25

Picture:

Christine 1

Description: 5'6'' lanky, red head, tan but has freckles as her skin was at one time fair.

Weapons: Cutlass, dagger (kept in boot), and a pistol, she is relatively hopeless with all of them save the cutlass (she knows that she is to swing the sharp part at her attacker). Her pistol is also never loaded, it's just there for scaring purposes, she can't stand the thought of actually shooting someone.

Attitude: Christine tries to be calm and collected (she fails most of the time). She is always there for her friends. Christine is quick to trust and slow to judge, she's been used a few times because of this, but she always bounces back. She is a follower by nature, but can step up to a leading position if pushed, but she is not generally fond of the limelight.

History: She was born in London and is an aquaintance of the Beckett family. Her father is a wealthy merchant that owns quite a few ships. She became a pirate by accident, she was on a ship to her Aunt's when the crew mutinied. She was forced to join or be marooned with the captain, she stayed on until they reached Tortuga where she decided to stay until she could return home. She lived in a brothel in Tortuga under the ownership of Belinda for five years. She knows Jack through what she tends to call, "unfortunate circumstances of fate." When she was younger and first took up residence in Tortuga she Gibbs and Jack were close enough to be considered friends when the other two were in town. One day the girl got tired of Tortuga and eventually was offered a spot on a small skiff owned by the young men for a fee to get her off the retched island. They sailed to New Orleans and from there it was all down hill. Young and stupid they weighed anchor in the Barataria bay and took in the sights. A few drunken escapades later Jack and Gibbs had spotted a new ship to be commandeered. The two were not quite so skilled at it yet, so they raised a ruckus and the guards came quickly. Jack got on first and pushed out to sea, Gibbs swam after him and Christine got left on the docks. Two gunshots later and more than a few screams their friend was hauled away for assisting in piracy. It was luck that got Christine out and she sailed again for Tortuga a few years later. Gibbs found her and apologized - even paid back what she gave to her boys for the journey (it took her five months to consider forgiving him). She didn't see Jack after that though, and she didn't really want to until Gibbs told her that the Captain had disappeared and he needed help. She grudgingly accepted - she was always a bit less hard hearted than she would have liked. Not too mention that saving Jack would be the greatest revenge.

------------------------------------

"Heave to yah bilge rats!" Yelled Gibbs over the grumbling of the men.

The men pushed towards the towering cliff, over which their cages hung. Instinct yelled through his mind as they tried again. These things were made of bone, human bone, that was no good. They were in huge trouble if they couldn't get to the cliff face, and they were still in trouble if they did anyway.

Why didn't the thing get any closer?

It seemed like hours until Gibbs had hold of the solid, dark rock wall. He could have sung he was so elated, but it wasn't over with yet. It was then that they started climbing. That too seemed to take forever, but all the men put there.

He could hear Bootstrap's lad encouraging them to move again as their cover was blown, and move they did. The stout man felt grass and solid earth under his feet and it was a feeling only surpassed by the steady rocking of a ship.

---------------------------

Christine just about collapsed after she felt land underneath her once more. Unable to resist, she let out a cry of relief and scrambled out of the cage as soon as the men had bashed through their bone made bars. Now that she was out she did have to hand it to those who created the cages...they were formidable holding cells, but in the end no match for a bit of British ingenuity - her mind added a bit proudly.

The red headed woman pushed herself off the sweet smelling earth and onto her boot clad feet. She took in a deep breath as if the air smelled cleaner now that she was free. She noticed that her long coat had come undone - she normally kept it fastened all the way to the high collar, revealing a white shirt under which one could make out one angry red and black scar the mate was on her arm.

She was in the process of re-buttoning said shirt when her arm was tugged - no, wrenched forward by Gibbs and they were on the run again.

"Where are we going?" She yelled to the man's back, her voice almost carried away by the wind.

"Back to tha Pearl, Christie," Gibbs responded.

"What about Jack?"

"He'll find us soon enough, lass. Don't yah worry about him," he said with a roll of his eyes.

"Joshamee Gibbs, if you brought me all the way here and we leave without him than I will be put out!" The woman retorted, tugging at his grip until he relinquished her captured arm.

[I cannot remember whether it was Will's turn or mine... :erm:

Will, ooo, I like the sound of that. Go Norrie! :P

Welcome, Mae!]

------

Joe closely watched Vari as she left the ship. He was brought back to the woman in front of him by a firm “ahem.” he turned (a bit reluctantly) to Lucette.
“What was it ye interrupted me for, Lucy, love?” he asked slightly impatiently. Why did he feel mad about this? Mad about Lucette interrupting his conversation with Vari?
“Joseph, l'amour,” Lucette’s sweet French accents tinkled through the air. Her eyes glittered as she laid them on him. “You aren’t truly taken with her,” she said the last part with distaste, “are you?” she asked, peering into his soul.
“Hardly,” Joe laughed though it died away quickly.
“Good,” Lucette said abruptly. “See that ship?” she motioned to the Black Pearl, “Je le veux.”
“What?” Joe gazed at her, “ye know I don’t understand you when ye speak yer French gibberish.”
“Do you not want it as well?” Lucette queried, a bit frustrated. She lowered her voice and continued, “We only need to stay back, convince some of these vagabonds to help us and ce beau bateau is ours!”
Joe frowned and looked from her to the Black Pearl. His eyes then involuntarily wandered down to the beach where Vari was.
"Lâche," Lucette called his eyes back to her. She scowled on him.
"What did ye call me?" He twisted his face in confusion and stared at her quizzically. Lucette moaned in frustration. "Ugh," she said, "don't be a simpleton." she smacked him on the arm.

------------------------------------------

Lotty followed Vari down the gangplank. “Why do ye think Jack Sparrow would land on a place like this?” she wondered out loud. She surveyed the beach. It seemed an empty, lonely sort of island. Not a person was in sight, nor a noise to be heard except the waves beating against the beach and the palm trees swaying in the sea breeze.

------------------------------------------

“We’ve reached land, Carmon,” Cole gently informed her sister, “perhaps… perhaps it would do you good to go on land and stretch out some.” Carmon didn’t answer but seemed to be considering it. He had noticed her eyes light up when she heard the word “land”. “Come, I’ll help you,” he put his arm around her waist and helped hoist her up. Carmon, herself, immediately felt dizzy and ill but she didn’t ask to be let alone. She badly wanted to step foot on land again though perhaps it would make getting back onto the ship all the harder.

------------------------------------------

(alright, it has been decades (figuratively) since I’ve watched DMC so here goes…)

Will Turner with the rest of the men ran. Ran for all they were worth from the savages who yelled and shrieked after them. In short, ran for the lives they dearly loved. All the while, however, Will wondered what had happened to Jack. Had they already… eaten him as Gibbs had suggested? How would that help him? He needed Jack to save Elizabeth. His heart beat hard in his chest as tall grasses and branches reached out and whipped at the fleeing crew.

------------------------------------------

“Exactly,” Cutler gave a curt nod of his head towards Keyara. “I am glad you have not forgotten it, Ms. Pierce.” He leaned back in his chair and looked them over once again. “That is precisely why I have summoned both of you here before me.”
