Ev smiled and laughed softly, then muttered to herself, "I wish," as she put the cloth back into the bowl of water and reached for the dry one.

Peter yawned suddenly. "It's working again.." he murmured, before laying back carefully.

Ev waited until his eyes were closed, then mouthed wordlessly at him, 'You can't sleep all day!' Before starting to wipe his face with the dry cloth.

"And just for your information, I'm not going to sleep all day." Peter said wryly. He hadn'd had his eyes all the way closed.

Ev's face dropped in mock outrage, and she asked, "You <i>saw</i> that? I am offended, Peter Pevensie. <i>You</i> didn't have your eyes closed," she said, her hand on her hip.

"If I'd known you were going to crawl my case like this, I wouldn't have said anything.." he said calmly.

Ev smiled, then said, "It's alright, I was just kidding," and continued to wipe the water and sweat off of his forehead.

Peter refrained from saying anything else, figuring it was the most...tactful thing to do. Besides, silence is golden..

Ev kept blowing her strand of hair out of her eyes, then finally made a frustrated face and put the cloth down, tucking it behind her ear. "It's so irritating sometimes..." she said, laughing and picking up the cloth again.

"Sounds to be.." Peter said quietly.

Ev grinned, then raised the cloth to start dabbing at his face, but hesitated for a millisecond, having made eye contact with him again, and noticed how blue they were again..

Peter noticed her hesitation almost right away, and gave her a questioning look.

Ev laughed quietly, trying to brush it off, and continued with the cloth and his forehead.

[Hmmm....skip a couple of hours?]

Ev sighed and blew the strand of hair out of her face again. She looked at the door and wondered if she should send for someone to get her a book...after all...<i>he</i> was asleep again...<i>Fine company</i>, she thought to herself. She looked out the window. It was the middle of the night, but she wouldn't let herself fall asleep. She had to stay up in case he woke up... She sighed again, and crossed her arms, resting them on the very edge of the bed. She put her chin on them and stared at the ceiling. <i>Don't you DARE fall asleep...</i> she scolded herself. <i>DON'T YOU CLOSE THOSE EYELI-</i> she put her cheek on her crossed arms and fell asleep immediately, not having slept in eleven hours.



Ed suddenly jerked awake, breathing heavily and sweating. He looked to the side of his bed for Felicity....or at least some water....he was so cold....(the chills.)
