Bill did not answer Lee. He knew that she...being the woman should have her ankle fixed first. It was the proper thing to do, but of course, Bill would never tell her that.
"We need to get somewhere safe. Jack needs to have someone look at the back of his head.....I hope he's all right," Bill frowned his eyebrows and twisted his jaw nervously.

"We would be getting out of here," Gibbs intervened in no amiable humor, "if we knew where the bloody hell our bloody ship went!" He swept his arm expansively along the beach.
No sign of the Pearl.
He calmed down enough to say with a sigh, "Methinks we should go investigate the drums."

Bill hesitated and then said, "Umm..well, lass...you see, Jack was climbing out the pit when I----" Bill's sentence was cut off by Gibbs' statement of investigating the drums. "No Gibbs! Are you out of your bloody mind? We want to get far away from those drums. Not closer to them!"

"Well, maybe if we follow the drums, we find the Pearl." Lee suggested and then looked at Robert. "If we do decided to follow them, we should split up...no reason risking everyones necks to find out what the drums mean..."

Bill shook his head, "This is a bad idea, lass. The first problem is that we have an unconscious man in our presence. And second, you and I have injured ankles. How do you expect us to walk such a long distance?" Bill felt helpless....he just wanted to get away from this place.

"Injured ankle," Gibbs said in disgust. "A fine sea lout you are." He thought for a moment, then suggested, "Bill's comin' with me. Robert, you stay here to look after the lass, savv - " He cleared his throat.
Robert was positively outraged. "I can walk! I'm perfectly - "
"Bloody shoulder o'yers," Gibbs intervened, to which Robert promptly shut up.

Gibbs flung his hands in frustration. This was the precise reason why Jack was captain and he was only first mate. "I - I - " He took a deep breath. "Robert can stay alone. He's a fine lad, he'll manage. The rest o'ye bloody louts, come with me."

Robert worked his mouth but could find nothing to say. To vent his frustration, he kicked the captain hard in the side.
