Timothy pulled his hand away from his wife and placed it on his forehead, "Katherine, I don't want to talk about this! Just get in the car..."
SLAM!
The driver's side of the door slammed to a shut and Timothy started the car, not caring once if his daughter or that 'new' things walking with her were inside or not.
Edward tensed. Having his hand touched felt strange, almost like dipping one's hand in icey cold water. That sort of a shock.
His pale plastic lips started to frown. He wasn't liking this.

Katherine raised an eyebrow to Timothy and then slowly opened her own door and the door for Edward and Lucy. She waited for the two of them to get in, before getting in herself. She sighed a bit and folded her arms across her chest.

Lucy continued to hold Edward's hand, even when she entered the back seat of the car. "It's all right, Edward. Come in. Sit down. I'll help you with your seatbelt," Lucy said with a kind smile.
Her face then shifted toward her angry father in the front seat. Why was he so mad?

As the car drove down the road, Edward remained frozen in his seat. His white pale hands were stiff as ice, but his fragile frame shivered all the way up to the tip of his plastic hair.
Not a peep came from his lips.

Katherine sat in her seat, seeming as silent as a grave. She stared at the road in front of her, not wanting to interact with Timothy or Edward. She was nervous around the both of them now. Timothy- Because he was really angered at the moment. Edward- Because she felt awful for sticking him in the surgery.

Lucy still clutched onto Edward's new human hand. She could not take her eyes off his face. It had been so long and she could only remember it in dreams....now seeing him alive and here....it made her heart leap.
Lifting his hand toward her eyes, she asked, "Does it feel good to have hands now, Edward? I would be really happy."

Edward's eyes fell down to the matts below. "Yes..." he replied barely above a whisper. He didn't really know how it was going to feel, or how to use them. The young boy was still trying to work out the mess of scattered memories in his head.

Lucy smiled bigger and patted Edward's hand softly. "Do you want me to show you how to use your hands?" she said with an excited ring in her voice.
Unfortunately Lucy thought that teaching Edward how to use the mobility in his hands would be easy....little did she know how difficult and frustrating it could become.

The car pulled up into the driveway, and Timothy was the first to storm out of it, and straight into the house, leaving Edward, Lucy and Katherine alone.
Edward flinched at the loud noise. His arms pulled up near his chest forcing Lucy to let go of his silk white 'new' hand. Edward's black eyes shot around. Being asleep that long was almost like being dead. But, somehow he had woken up, and was back into this cold mean world.

Without hesitation, Lucy unbuckled Edward's seat belt, jumped out of the car on her side, ran around the back of the car, and then opened Edward's door. "Come on, Edward. We're home," she said with a comforting smile. "You remember your home. Come on now," Lucy said taking his hands in hers.
Lucy was so glad to have her friend home again. Feeling the excitement and thrill in her heart made her smile constantly.

Katherine continued staring out the window, when Timothy stormed out of the car. She swallowed hard and listened to Lucy and Edward in the back. Katherine almost looked dead from the way she was sitting so still. She sighed deeply and covered her face with her hands, sadly.
