"She is a knight of the order, she was sent after me, but now that she is captured I cannot let her go nor kill her because then we would have her or another knight on our trail.... and as for my credibility goes, I do not give a damn what you think... but now that we are safe and sound I believe you are willing to hear whats all the fuzz about?"

Gareion said as he gazed at the others for opinions on the situation.

Arrearis sighed and rolled her clear blue eyes. She tried to move her arms around so she could grab her sword. Slowly her hand crept around her body and was able to grab her sword. They had to let her go sometime, and when they did Gareion would get whats coming to him, while the others she could spare since two of them were only kids.

"Someway they'll learn about my being captured, and will send recrutes. There will be no mercy for you, Gareion, unless you give a better excuse than of what you say!" she spat at him, ignoring the others...

Gareion chuckled quietly shaking his head, he kneeled next to Arrearis and grabbed her cheek with his two fingers.

"Brave and devoted, very much like I before I learned the truth, but I tell you what knighty... I shall now tell what the hell is going and should you or anyone else find it reasonable you shall stop chasing me. If no one believes me I shall come with you willingly and face the punishment for my so called crime... agreed?"

Knyn appraised the elf coolly. Though not much impressed by her bravado, his expression revealed nothing. He snapped an impatient look at Gareion. "Shall we go? If what she claims is true, we should leave."

"What do you think they sent her alone? Of course not! One knight cannot be trusted with a task such as my capture or death, they are undoutably nearby waiting yet not too close. They might see us, but not hear us."

Gareion suddenly said to Knyn with an amused face as he seemed to be far more aware of the situation that he revealed and acted as, if he was not aware of any danger. He gazed at Arraeris quietly.

"We shall take her with us, nearby there is a safe place where even the knights could not follow us.... but for now we must procceed in the forests, it is the best choice as the knights choice of travelling shall be on horses. In the woods we have a better chance of defending ourselves and hiding until we reach the mountains, there we shall disappear....

But this also means that all of you must trust me and this not something any of you take lightly, ecspecially when I have not revealed one good reason why to follow me. But to make it short... Darkos would you tell them about the old tale?"

Darkos had stood back quietly and sighed, he scrathed his head and gazed at the twins.

"As you two might remember I once told you a tale of gods, gods that are no longer worshipped for they do not exist anymore? Many believed that the war of the gods destroyed them all, that they were no more and the world was left unperfect because of their mistakes...." Darkos said and gazed at Gareion who continued the tale.

"But that is just the tale with no evidence, it is what mortals wanted to believe so that they could blame the gods for all that had happened. Elves cursed the gods as they were no longer immortal, dwarves were no longer perfect in the crafts, orcs were no longer as terrible nor mighty as they once had been. They were all diminished...."

Gareion paused and gazed at everyone of them.

"Thus mortals came to the conclusion that the gods had destroyed each others, but the myth also holds something rarely spoken of. A cult spoke of the return of the gods trough human that had made a blood oath to the god of wisdom, to bring the gods back, but many ignored this yet that cult has worked for all these ages. The man that I mentioned was somesort of a priest I was told, he had devoted himself to all aspects of life. Good, evil and neutrality, this man Kharas chose and should he fail then his children take up that task.... So you do not need too much brains to think who are meant to bring back the gods and whom of us is part of that cult. I expected only three of us upon this journey, but now there are six of us, which must be a trick of fate upon me or a blessing.

I stumbled upon the scholars or the cult by chance and they revealed me everything in turn for service, it was a lucky co-incidence and that was why I stole an artifact from that tomb. It was a clue left behind by Kharas, a piece of a twisted puzzle of his to bring back the gods... Now I shall have you two gather and solve it. Now move it, other questions and explenations can be spared for later for we have wasted enough time already."

Gareion said with a cold gaze as he stared at the siblings after telling his daring, unbelievable and clearly mad tale. He suddenly took his sword and pointed it at the face of Arrearis.

"You shall come with us or die so please act like a lady and do not cause any harm..."

He said with a slight smile as he cut her free from the web, but his sword hand was ready to act should she dare to attack him.

"Why, pray, could you not do so yourself?" asked Rhiannon, looking at him keenly. "We know very little - and as I'm sure my brother will agree, we've no intention of being used as puppets. If that's your purpose, you may as well leave us here."

Her eyes flicked to Arrearis meditatively, but she said nothing.

[going to pretend like my character knows what he's talking about :P]

"Fate," Knyn murmured with another impatient shrug. He seemed about to say more, but thought better of it and left it at that.

Suddenly he caught a movement in his peripheral vision. Glancing at the others, he vanished into the forest to go investigate.

(seriously, any of you bothered to read the starting story? huh? Cause if you would have read that then you would have understood! Go read it now and you`ll realise that my earlier post only widened the picture)

"It is not that simple!"

Gareion said raising his voice and he stepped forward, he eyes narrowed as he was going to lay down their options for their future lives.

"I am doing this all for you! Because I believe that you would help the scholars willingly, otherwise they would have ripped you from Darkos and forced you to believe all that they told you. If you do not do this then your children will and what if you do not have children? Impossible, any woman in your blood line that has never tried to have a child has been raped and every man mysteriously seduced in having one.... Fate as the stranger said"

Gareion pulled out a small black half-moon shaped like object, he raised it before their eyes. Gareion had an almost fanatical glimmer in his eyes as he showed to them as, if this was all that mattered to him in life.

"You take this piece of the puzzle or your childen will from the hands of my preddecessor unless the scholars decide to force the return you to return the gods. You can escape from it all, but it is all you love that shall pay the consquenses, starting with the old man"

Gareion said and pointed at Darkos, they might have mixed feelings towards him, but all those years of care could not be shook even by a revelation of this kind.

[*cough* you were a bit elusive in your first post as to where the siblings came from and why they're so special]

Like a shadow Knyn darted from tree to tree, senses buzzing and eyes scanning the underbrush. There. A glimmer of silver among the green foliage, and another twenty feet away. He ducked behind a boulder and sighted one of the knights emerge and signal the others.

Knyn returned to the clearing a few moments before the end of Gareion's tirade. "A pretty speech," he murmured. "By the way, we have somewhere around a dozen knights from your former order closing in as we speak." He glanced significantly at their elven prisoner.

"You - you - !" cried Rhiannon, eyes blazing. "Is this what it comes to? You need threaten him to ensure our cooperation? By the stars - !" she clenched her teeth. "Obviously we haven't much of a choice. Fine. Fine. But I choose what I want to do - I don't understand, not yet, but if I don't like it I assure you I will do all in my power to avoid being forced into it."

She looked at Knyn. "Wonderful. Now we're being hunted as well. Somehow this isn't quite as thrilling as you seem to think." This was directed at Gareion, as was indicated my her gaze - which, if looks could kill, would have decapitated him long since.

Rivhon looked causiously at his furious sister. They really did not know what they were getting themselves into. Being her brother, Rivhon knew well and good what happened when she was mad. He looked from Gareion to Rhiannon, and stifled a laugh - but just barely, as it looked like Rhiannon was attempting to shoot flaming arrows out of her eyes at the man. It brought up old, nearly forgotten memories asociated with a young Rivhon who just discovered how to rig a bucket atop a door... Soon brought out of his thoughts by his still-yelling sibling, Rivhon regained his shy, yet forceful seriousness.

"We will go with you." He looked around, eyes glaring dangerously, and then snapped, "We gave you the answer you wanted! Are we going somewhere or not?" Rivhon didn't really know himself if the last part of his sentence was a question or a statment, so he abruptly stopped talking and stood perfectly still as he let his eyes bore into the man infront of him.

(Jimmy, that was kinda what I meant and explain the whole thing as the rp procceeds)

Gareion retreated slightly and nodded quietly, he gazed at the rest of them and at Darkos. Darkos tapped Rhiannon quietly on the shoulder as he passed by and began to lead them into the woods with his bow at hand, Gareion stayed back as the others left and stared at Arraeris for her judgement.

"So you now know why I did what I did, the order was founded by a god of justice and once he returns the order will be cleansed of those filled with greed, only the pure hearted can enter. It is not that I care for the order anymore, but at least I can do something useful with my petty life and see the scholars disbanded...

So shall you come to see can I proof my claims or must we duel and end this in a bitter way?"

(hahaha! I get back from my friends birthday party just intime! What a coincidence!)

Arrearis listened intently, when she was freed, she stood, back strait as a stick, face emotionless. When Gareion spoke directly to her when the others went ahead, she looked him in the eye, hand on her sword.

"It matters. Will the returning of the gods bring back the immortality that once graced my people? If I go through with this, will you promise not to do bad to the Order again? That would include grave robbery." she said calmly, some venom in her smooth voice...

Gareion let his head fall to his left with a pondering face, but at the same time he seemed slightly amused by the fact that she wished immortality, to herself or to her people was the same. Greed or goodwill? Both perhaps.

"Certainly, parting the way with the order was a messy business and had to be done only once thus I won`t harm the orders name no more... not to mention yes, I believe that immortality should be yours once more as the gods return... so.. shall we go?"

Gareion asked as he stepped aside allowing her to walk past him after the others.

Arrearis eyes him suspiciously, and whistled, calling the horse she had been riding earlir. As it galloped passed, she gracefully jumped on, catching up with the others without looking back at Gareion...
