((Thanks for the intro SG! I really didn't know how to start))

Keeping up his strong apperence Sielio marched through the halls. The gaurds came to attention as he passed them by, untill finnaly he reached his privet rooms, the guards would not follow him here. As soon as he reached his beadroom he broke down, falling into an overstuffed chair he held his head in his hands. This masqurade of his was going to kill him, and he knew he could not last much longer, the true him needed to come out, his mask could not hold up under this kind of preassure, ashamed of his weakness as he was, hiding it was just making him weaker, now he stood at the brick of breaking. Everyone hates me, why was I so stupid? it's their right to hate me, they should Sielio thought aloud, everyone hated him, he even hated himself now. That was it, from now on he would be Sielio, just Sielio, not king Sielio, just plain-old-only-17-years-old-Sielio. He stood and wiped his face clean of tears, even he had his duities. He opened the door and was imeadieatly greeted by Eron, his most trusted adviser, Eron had been here since before Sielio could remember, but the young king had even managed to hide himself from him. "My lord?" Eron asked. "Are you alright?" Sielio now reailized that you cannot hide crying by simply wiping off the tears, for the first time he felt exposed, this was not goin to be easy.

Sila stared at the water or what used to be water but was now ice. "How can that be?" she asked with awe. Her eyes slowly went to the burn marks in the chair. "And you did that too." For a moment, she could only stare at her sister in bewilderment.
Finally she regained her senses and said, "Wait a minute." A look of firm concentration came upon her face and her eyes glazed a bit. Suddenly the floor began to tremble. Objects in the house shook, and Sila had to fight to make the tremors subside before she unadvertantly destroyed their home.

Suakii looked around wide eyed as her sister sent the large tremors throught their house.

"Sila! What are you doing?!" She then screamed as she fell to the floor, dropping the cup that was in her hand. Once the quake subsided, she looked up at her sister, as if she had seen a ghost.

"What was that?!"

"Sorry," Sila replied in a soft voice as she reached down to help her sister up, "I didn't mean for it to get so out of control. I really don't even know if I can control it. That's what happened up by the creek. I think if I concentrate hard enough I can make the earth... shake."

The day drew on and Everya had gone inside and started preparing her herself a snack. Everya buttered her toast and then spread jam on it. One of her favorite meals. The wind was growing and it was shaking the small house Everya was in.
"My oh my." She breathed in.

Latanya, in her house far far away (sort of), stared sadly at the gross drizzling rain. Sadly for her she could hear her 'siblings' (which are not characters, im just mentioning them) chasing each other around the house. None of them ever asked her to join them. She had a personal belief that they were afraid of her because of her silver eyes, not to mention she was older than all of them. She hadn't let anyone see her ears, though. Somehow she felt... like an outcast.

(sorry; last minute skiing trip)

Suakii nodded once slowly,

"Right. I can burn and freeze, and you can make earthquakes.... So, do you think we should tell mom and dad about this?" She asked, smirking slightly.

Aivon sat down in his chair, positioned near one of the two doors to the dining room of the house. No-one would be able to get to the others without going through either him or Jord, who watched the other door.

The pleasant smell of the dinner rose to his nose, and he savored it, but quelled the rumble in his stomach before anyone at the table heard it. He wasn't that hungry. He would get something to eat once Rhaeryn was in bed for the night; Adar--one of the servants--would bring it to his room, which was in reality the anteroom to Rhaeryn's. Once again, no-one could get to her without going through him first.

Rhaeryn hastily took her elbows off the table as her mother swept in. Her thoughts kept straying to the hidden book in the garden during the dinner that followed, and it must have showed on her face -

"Rhaeryn, dear, what were you doing out in the garden today for so long?" her mother inquired airily, her sharp eyes contradicting her tone.

With an uncomfortable feeling that she knew, Rhaeryn innocently returned, "Nothing."

An eyebrow raised. "Surely it must have been tedious, doing nothing for so long?"

Rhae cast a sidelong glance at her father, who was studiously observing his soup. "Not - entirely," she replied hesitantly, rather unsure whether to agree or disagree.

There was silence for a moment, in which the girl relaxed slightly, and then the final question, like a nail in a coffin: "So I suppose you wouldn't know anything, then, about a book that's gone missing today? Of fairy stories?"

It took an enormous amount of self-control for Rhaeryn to not immediately blush furiously. "Er, no, not at all."

Aivon suppressed another smile. He'd been around the girl enough to know that no matter how hard she was trying to hide it, she was uncomfortable, embarrassed, and feeling guilty. It was as plain as day to him, which meant his mother must at least suspect that she was lying.

Sila forced a nervous laugh. "I don't think so," she said after a moment, "I don't know how they would handle it." She paused and looked at the ground. "What's happening to us, Suakii?" she asked softly.

Rhaeryn felt extremely self-conscious for the next few minutes, spent in stony silence, and by the time they were halfway through the main course she found herself stabbing a fork (the wrong one) repeatedly through the meat on her plate without actually eating any of it.

Abruptly, Rhae flung down her cutlery and stormed out of the dining room, completely ignoring her irate mother's shouts that she come back this instant. She knew Aivon would be following in short order - but something had to be done with that book. She wasn't giving it back.

Suakii shook her head, undecisive.

"I don't know.... Mabye we should head out to the study hall and see if we can find anything...?"

Sila nodded and followed her sister to the study. "Anything we can find out will be better than nothing," she said, "I want to know something about this." Sila hated being confused. She hated not having answers.

Suakii nodded in agreement.

"Of course." She said, walking over to a chair, which her cloak was hung over. She then headed into the room that she and her sister shared and got two identical pairs of gloves. Tossing one pair at Sila, she slid her hands into the others.

"I would put those on though, because of the... mark, whatever it is." With that, she slipped on her cloak and braught the hood up over her head, and headed out to the small stable that her family had.
