Emmeline brushed a strand of curly blonde hair out of her face as she headed down the steps of her porch. She was going to see if any of her friends wanted to get together. Emmy was extremely bored and wanted to do something rather than sit and do nothing. She say Sky and Louy on a porch and grinned.
"Hey." She said, climbing the steps of the porch, "How's it goin'?"

Adara waltzed out of her room. Movie night was her favorite. Juggling through the DVD's, Adara picked out the Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and laid it in front of the television.

Walking into the kitchen, Adara found her sister speaking on the telephone. "Alright," Natalie spoke into the reciever, and, after a pause, continued, "No, it is no problem at all." Hanging up the phone, Natalie placed both of her hands on the kitchen counter, leaned her weight on the palms of her hands, and sighed. Seeing Adara sulk into the room with puzzlement spread across her face, Natalie told her sister, "I'm sorry, Dare, but movie night is going to have to wait a few more hours. My boss called me up and told me that they are encountering some problems at work and need me there. But, we will start right when I get back. Ok?"

"Aye," Adara responded with a grin on her face from the excitement of being able to act like a pirate again.

"You be a good girl," Natalie told her sister, kneeling down to Adara's eye level, "and stay nearby. Aye?"

"Aye," Adara repeated, "I shall!"

"Love ya," Natalie said, standing up, grabbing her keys, and walking to the door to leave, "I'll be back later."

"Love ya!" Adara shouted as her sister left and started the car, "See ya once the day grows dark."

Running to the door, Adara peeped her head outside. Her sister had driven away, and Adara saw a gathering of people in the other direction. Scampering over to them, Adara popped herself up on the porch and spoke, "It appears that we have a certain gatherin' here. May I ask what occasion we be celebratin' today?"

Rick leaped off of his queen sized bed, landing sharply on the pillow which was just tossed across the room by his little brother, Marcus.

"Run, little boy, or you'll experience pain," rick threatened Marcus everyday after school. It was always the same scenario.

"Was that a threat?!" Marcus retorted, screaming for their mother. "And I'm not little, I'm seven!"

"Oh come on, you know I was only kidding." Rick laughed heavily, and shoved his brother aside, "I've got things to do."

"Ladies first." commented Marcus, laughing insanely.

Now that's too far was the first thought assaulting Rick's spinning mind. He controlled himself though, just ignoring the comment.

"Mom, I forgot my binder at the school. I'll be back," Rick didn't even wait for a reply, he new exactly what it would be. The bright sun greeted his cheeks as he stepped out onto the emerald lawn, giving him the will power to take the shorter way to school. It was risky going this way, as Mrs. Schultz always kept an eye out in her backyard, watching carefully for short cutters, trying to get to school in time. Luckily, she didn't expect anyone at this hour.

After leaping over her chain link fence, Rick ran by a line of well - built houses. On the porch of one were some people he knew from school; Skylarh, Louy, Adara, and Emmeline. Simply, he tossed them aside in his mind; they were most likely gossiping about people in the school. Maybe not, but Rick wasn't in the best mood anyway.

Before long, he reached the school, and leaped through the double doors towards his locker.

Sky smiled at Adara, waving her over to the swing, "We be celebratin' our release from them government prisons!"

Emmy raised her eyebrows and grinned at Adara. Then turning to address the whole lot she said, "I think I might visit my pap. He lives in New York. Go sight seeing, shopping, maybe clubbing if my pap will let me."
Emmy shrugged. She was looking forward to her summer. Her sister was going to be in rehab, big surprise, but Emmy promised that she would go visit her too.

Skylarh had issued an open invitation for the first week of summer, which technically started in two days, but no highschoolers were attending the last day of school, anyway. It was like a school tradition not to attend that day.

((OK, so why don't some of you come along? This is where pirates, Poseidon, and Dionysus come in, as well as anyone else we can think of a way to add. Slowly at first though, ladies and gents.
