(Just so you know, any spelling mistakes in the speech are deliberate, I'm trying to show the pronounciation of some of the words lol.)

"Remember" James whispered in Charlotte's ear, "They cannot know that we are of the higher class, Father always told me that these scum prey on the better mannered and better dressed." He adjusted his grey tattered waistcoat and she flattened down her black freyed dress.

"James, why are we here again?" She asked, looking around wide eyed at the dark gloomy street and surrounding market stalls. James sighed.

"Because," he answered. "The apocrathy here is possible the only one within five miles that has the key ingredient for Grandmother's medicine. Now come on." He grabbed her hand securely and pulled her through the crowded street.

"Apples, getcha apples righ' 'ere. Come on ladies an' gen'ts, getcha nice juucie apples."

"Com'n alon' loves, com'n an' get y'a for'unes read by ol' Granny Bea."

"Spare'us abit o' foo'd won'ya, I 'aint ea'en in 'ree days!"

Were called to them as they passed various stalls, before catching sight of a boy and girl, one looking very out of place in upper class dress, the other obviously a local scallywag.

"In fact, it is not something shiny, and one must not presume things; else someday, they will find themselves falling into a massive black hole in which they cannot get out of and in which I shall be above the hole, laughing down at them in a merciless sort of way." he poked her in the chest.
"And whatever I am looking for here is certainly none of your business and is probably too vast and valuable for anything that your wee little brain could ever understand, so if you'll excuse me-" he stepped around her lightly, careful to not spill a drop of rum. "- I must be going to me ship."

(hehe, glad you like it, Aras. :P)

At the hard shove Cutler fell several paces back but he somehow managed not to fall. He could feel his blood begin to boil, but he knew it was wrong to fight a girl. He glared at her, slightly offended as well. He had never really been treated this way in his whole life. No wonder his father and mother had always told him to keep away from these poor street urchins. He remained where he was and said, "if you were a boy I'd challenge you to a good, fair fight, but since you're a girl I'll let you keep what small amount of honor you have left."

"Your ship? Did you actually manage to procure your own ship, Jack Sparrow? And perhaps you would be doing better in life if your wee brain was not so addled by drink." She grabbed his arm and turned him around, "You better not get yourself into too much trouble, I don't want to have to drag you out from something because you are too drunk to stand. Now off you go," she said. Tucking a strand of strawberry blonde locks behind her ear she started off once more. She would be home in a matter of minutes.

He threw her arm off of him in annoyance. "For your information, my ship is very..." he made a circling motion with his hands. "... big." He grinned again. "I... borrowed it." he swayed again, then froze by another stand, his eyes wide.

She turned and tilted her head, her mouth quirked upward, "I don't know if I believe that, Jack. I have not known you to be an honest man...You stole it?! Jack, you are going to get into huge trouble." She whispered harshly, closing the gap that she had formed. "What are you thinking, stealing another ship. Jack, the Navy is going to catch up with you, and you are not going to be able to weasel your way out of it." Her eyes were narrowed, and she would have been more intimidating if her voice were not so worried.

He was ignoring her again. He inched away from her, then reached out and took a brown leather hat from one of the racks, running his hands around its rim carefully. He slipped it on his head, glancing into a mirror. It seemed to suit him perfectly. He started to turn away, but the salesperson stopped him.
"Excuse me, sir. Are you going to pay for that?" the man frowned at him. Jack turned back around, feigning a very convincing surprised look.
"I've already paid, luv." he flashed his bright deceiving smile. The man looked confused.
"I'm quite sure you didn't pay for that, sir."
"Oh, it must be your age catching up to you." Jack rested his hand on the man's shoulder, then quickly withdrew when the man looked offended. "Why, I paid for that when you were helping that woman!" Jack pointed slightly to his left. The man followed his gaze, his brows furrowing.
"Where?"
"There!"
"Where?"
"There!" Jack quickly threw himself into the crowd, and jumped into a large crate filled with baskets, peering through the cracks. Something shiny caught his eye, and he suddenly beamed.
"Oh! Rum!" he attempted to pry open the basket, but with no luck.

The girl caught the last part of the conversation and decided to help the man out, One last time, no more to do with him after this. She swore to herself while giving the man one of her most winning smiles, that she perfected while living in the brothel.

"Yes, dear sir. You were about to sell me that wonderful...sash, right there. The bright one, yes that one." Although not as smooth as Jack it was a sufficient performance to procure said sash, which was actually quite lovely, she admitted to herself. She dropped a coin on the counter and tied the sash around her hair to keep it from blowing into her eyes. With that she turned and walked off, turning down an alley her mind once again set on home.

Jack finally got the lid off of the basket, but also managed to topple in simultaneously. The basket rolled out of the crate and across the street, causing many people to scream in surprise. It seemed to be rolling directly towards Christine again. Jack cowered inside of the basket, his eyes alert and his arms hugging the rum.

"Is that right?" Keyara questioned, laughing to herself. What a momma's boy! "This should make things much easier for me then." Out of nowhere it seemed, she threw a punch, then a kick and a large crowd had gathered around to watch this poor girl beat up a rich kid.

"Yes, it is," Cutler said, however almost before it was out of his mouth the girl had hit him. What was he suppose to do now? His mother and father had always told him not to fight with girls, but was she really a girl or just a little monster? He also noticed a crowd was gathering around them. He gave Keyara a pained look before finally determining what to do. He had to leave, he couldn't fight her whether she was a monster or not. He hated coming across as a wimp because he wasn't, but, well, he just couldn't fight here or now.

[Kool :)]

James watched as the man stumbled backwards. He felt torn; if he went to help the fellow out, he would be revealed as the upper class gent that he was, putting himself and Miss Stafford at risk. But if he didn't, it would be on his concience forever.
The deciding factor was when he saw the man's face, he didn't need Charlotte's suprised whisper in his ear to recognise it.
"Oh my goodness! It's Cutler Beckett!"

James marched forward, pulling the urchin off him and standing between them as Charlotte ran forwards to check Beckett over.

Keyara frowned as she was ripped off of the rich boy by the two newcomers. "Forget this; I've got better things to be doing." And with that, she gave one last glare in Cutler's direction and headed towards the old rickety gate that lead from the market into the thick patch of woods, deciding to take the shortcut home.

Just as he had decided what to do, Cutler was yanked away from Keyara. Things were now almost happening too quickly for him to comprehend though. Before he knew it this little wretch was giving him a vicious glare and walking way, not that that hurt his feelings any. 'Dirty, rotten, little... wait though,' he thought, 'who was it who pulled the miserable little vermin off me?' he turned back around to see who it was. There before him stood a young boy and girl, both were about his age.

(okie dokies, Ara...)
