Tika smirked, this human man was good, and handsome. Shaking her head she quickly took out as many Paleds as she could, seeing reconition in many of them, especially those that herad her voice and had looked in hr green eyes. "Your not going to get away with this easily Paleds." She said. as she she killed some more. "When I am trough with you, your king is next." She said, venom in her voice.

Aryann watched Alena talking to Xavier. Her keen ears caught their words even from that distance. She strode proudfully towards where they were. She walked up to Alena's side, and smiled at Xavier, though the it did not touch her eyes. Her eyes were full of pain, suffering, and a fury no mortal would understand. "Welcome, Xavier, leader of the Stonestar tribe. To what reason do I owe the pleasure of seeing you again?" She kept her voice even and the smile never left her face. Her eyes looked deeply into those of Xavier.

Alena turned to look at Aryann. She could easily sense her leader's fury brewing beneath her outward pleasantries. Nor was the look in her chief's eyes lost upon her-for she could recognize it anywhere-the look that one gives the killer of one that they love when they confront them. "Aryann," she whispered softly, hoping to deflect some of her leader's fury.

Gareth smiled at the woman's words. A jewel indeed, he thought. The venom in her voice, matched that in his heart for these 'creatures'-sub-human as he deemed them-not even worthy to live. As one paled leapt upon him, he easily side-stepped the stroke before running the beast through. "Rot in Hades!" he uttered, his voice laced with malice as he roughly tossed the corpse down.

(OCC: Misa-so I take it that Tika looks like a human except for her ears and tail-since if she looked very cat-like it, Gareth would probably be able to detect that was a paled pretty quickly)

The heavy thumping sound of boots on stone gradually edging closer to the holding cell. The tinkle of mail seemed to mock the human prisoner as the sound grew closer and closer. Then the smug laughter as the two guards reached the prison. They looked at each other with sadistic grins and then back at the man.
"All ours" one spoke up as he unsheathed his sword and moved towards the apparently bound human. As he raised his sword to slice downwards, the human raised up quickly and dug the dagger Kai-Larr had given him, deep into the throat of the first guard. Taking him out with ease.

The remaining guard roared in anger, shouting obscenities at the human male and lunged forward punching him hard in the head. The human fell to his knees, still weak from his punishment.
"You'll pay for this human scum!" he yelled furiously and then his words began to curdle in his throat and he slowly fell to his knees before his prisoner. Kai-Larr stood at the doorway, her eyes blazing.
"Get up! We have to move quickly"

The prisoner said no words, but nodded in agreement and stood up and began to make his way over to her. Looking down at the second guard he noticed a similar dagger protruding from the back of his neck. He smirked and walked up to Kai-Larr.
"Nice work" he said, his words drawling.

Kai-Larr said nothing and began to move swiftly down the corridor. To paths only she knew. Path's she used when she needed to escape the confines of the Palace and the King's watchful eye.

Xavier watched as Aryann walked over, and recognized the hatred in her eyes. He was no mortal. Half maybe, but that wouldn't keep him from living forever.
"Originally I had come to see if this ambush that I heard rumors about was really going to happen. But then I decided to try and make a truce between our tribes. All grudges held back," he said, his face hard and seriouse, and not a hint of smile on his face now. Aryann wasn't the only one with grudges for the other tribe. That battle that killed her sister was an attack on the Stonestar tribe, forcing them from a peacefull glade that was their home. Well, now they lived in that emense hidden cave and took all precautions to keep it hidden. Though it was the Palebs that killed his family.

"Truthfully, I'm tired of killing humans, my own race. I'd rather point all of my fire at the Paleds. If you hadn't noticed, not one of my men's arrows are in your men," all that he said was true. The arrows that his men had shot all were grey with red arrows, and all of them were in Paleds. And truley he was tired of fighting with the other clans. Their numbers just dwindled that way. The humans were scattered, while Palebs were stronger because they were mostly united...

Blaidri sighed. The tension between the Aryann of the Nightstar and Xavier of the Stonestar was thick, and only strengthened by the civility they showed to eachother. Cautiously he walked over.
"Greetings Aryann. Your clan fought well. And Xavier, I did not think you would be here. I am Blaidri, leader of the Llwyd du Draig clan." He extended a hand. "Your aid was most appretiated."
Blaidri and his people were lucky. They lived far to the south, distanced from most of the clans. Attacks on thier homesteads were rare, and thier position was easily defendable. They even had enough room and peace to farm, a luxury few other clans had. Even thier language flourished: under the tyranny of the Paleds, regional languages had been slowly eradicated. "Llwyd du Draig", the name of thier clan, meant "storm-grey dragon", but hey taught no one the language, using it instead as a code.

"I too grow weary of defending my people from the threat of my own race. We have greater enemies than ourselves."

Alena nodded her head out of respect to Blaidri as he joined the group. Sensing that this was a matter for the three clan leaders, she silently took her leave and walked the short distance to retrieve her curved sword and quickly sheathed the weapon. She remained as thus in the background, though still within earshot of the group, keeping her eyes fixed upon the threesome. She knew that their clan already had a truce with Llwyd du Draig, and she fervently hoped that Aryann could form one with Stonestar. In her heart, she had grown tired of fighting the other tribes. True, she was only half mortal, but the blood of the gods that did flow through her veins would not grant her immortality. Immortality, what a farce, she through sardonically. She knew that chances were she would probably fall in battle rather than to passage of time. With a sigh, she waited to see what would happen between the three leaders.

Tika smiled, this man was a good fighter. She looked at she saw a Paled snek up on him as his fought others. Silently she went to the Paled. "I don't think so." She said as she appeared behind it. "Tika." The Paled said in a hushed voice. Tika smirked and killed the him before fighting onward.

"And none of my tribe have killed your warriors," Aryann said, "But that proves nothing." While she was taling, her warriors lined up behind her, in battle formation. She had no intention of appearing weak, but that wasn't even her main concern. Her concern was she might lose her temper, and her troops had never seen her lose her temper, so it might help her not to.

She turned towards Blaidri and smiled genuinely, she had no grudge against his tribe. "I also grow weary of fighting, but there are reasons for it. I am not one to do things without reason." Her words held great meaning, and her tribe listened intently to see what would become of her and Xavier.

"Xavier, the Nightstar tribe would appreciate all the assistance we can get with our battle with the Paleds. But there is one thing you must understand. Our treaty will be temporary, and will end the moment we have defeated the paleds." she said, with pride, dignity, responsibility, pain, fury, and suffering mixed together.

She looked at Xavier, then Blaidri. "Our treaty will confirm that if treason is commited, total anhilation of the tribe is allowed. We may agree on the final terms later, but right now I have somewhere very important to be." With that she turned around and started walking away.

She paused. "Alena." she said, waiting for her to follow.

(yeesh, you make me hate my character! Poor Xavier and his tribe!)

Xavier thought for a moment. A temporary treaty. That seemed fare enough, and if things went well, maybe it would end up in a complete treaty. But if she was tired of fighty, why no just have a truce? One tribe stay on their land in their barrier, and the other stay on theirs and they jsut leave each other alone. But, Aryann was already leaving, so Xavier made a mental note to make such things known later. His eyes wandered to Alena when the Nightstar leader had called her name. She was a beautiful woman, but, off limits. She was of the other tribe.

Then he turned to Blaidri.
"I didn't intent to show myself here. If I cannot make a lasting truce with Nightshade, then maybe I can make one with Llwyd du Draig? Though a battle field is not a place to talk about such things, I guess," he said with a nod. Xavier didn't really hold any grudges againt' either tribe. Being leader, he didn't want persional emotions and hatred clouding his judgement. He may have killed Aryann's sister, but it was kill or be killed. And it was she and the warriors she was with that had attacked the Stonestar tribe. Though then it had been called Field Flower because it was in a beautiful glade, but now the tribe dwelled in a stone labrynth, so it only seemed fit to change the name...

Alena glanced at Xaiver, sorrow in her eyes. She barely knew the leader of Stonestar, but she already liked him. There was no doubt that he was a handsome man, but there was something about him that made it impossible for her to believe that he was just a cold-blooded killer as Aryann thought him as. Alena lowered her gaze as Aryann called her name and she slowly strode forward. She cared deeply for her leader and would follow her to whatever fate, but this undercurrent of animosity felt horribly wrong to her. After all, were not both sides responsible for the misery that befell them all? she thought to herself though she did not voice her opinion or question aloud. Glancing back at Xavier one last time, she walked toward Aryann.

Gareth turned as he heard footsteps behind him only to find that Tika had beaten him to the creature. Glancing around and seeing that the Paled group had been annihilated, Gareth quickly sheathed his sword. He then turned to Tika. "You are highly skilled with a blade. Might I have the name of so brave a lady?" he asked.

Fareni muttered a curse. She wasn't one to back down from a fight, but someone needed to stay back. You could say she felt something like pride for being the last survivor; though this was far from over. She observed the tribeleaders considering a truce, smiling to herself.

After Aryann had walked away, she took to watching the toher groups of two or three humans stood collecting themselves after the ambush. Watching each face in turn, she paused to see if she could hear their words. After a while of her 'spying'(though she wouldn't think of it like that, would she?) her eyes rested on a familliar face. <i>Hmmmmm</i>. A Paled. But either she hadn't told the human she was speaking to, or she'd turned tratior. The human she was with had just asked her name. Fareni would've dearly loved to announce to the tribes of humans of Tika's nature, but couldn't do so without endangering herself. She though back to both her brief meeting with Tika, and the last she'd heard of her. <i>She'd left.</i> Fareni glowered at her silently, deciding that now was the time for her to leave. She tucked her hunting knife into a hidden pocket and turned to leave, not quite as silently as she would've liked.

Blaidri watched Aryann leave in fury, her men lined up behind her. A truce of any kind between the Nightstar and the Stonestar was the last thing he had thought would happen. And now, Xavier asking for peace with the Llwyd du Draig. Amaran thought about it for a moment. In the past he and his people had very little trouble with the Stonestar. Unity between humans is what you want, right? he thought to himself.
"Then a truce it is, Xavier." Blaidri said. "There will be peace between our tribes. Even if it means only one less fight, it is a good thing."

"That is agreed. It's a toll on the heart to loose members of ones tribe," Xavier said. "I know there hasn't been much peace in the past, but I hope to change that. I guess seeing the ambush made me decide to put all grudges aside."

He whislted and nodded his head and his three men were behind him within minutes. They looked at their leader with questioning glances. Xavier ended that by giving them a look of 'tell you later'.

((Sorry about you hating your character now, Rain. I don't like mine so much since she attacked your tribe, now I have to think of a reason she did that...))

Aryann waited for Alena to catch up then continued walking. She scanned her warriors, she felt a foreign presence among them. Her eyes rested on a strangely-dressed warrior. She was not one of Aryann's tribe. Aryann kept on walking. She beckoned to Reed, her second-in-command. He matched strides with her and followed.

"Tell everyone to mount up, we're going to Dalur." she said, Reed raised his eyebrows questionally (sp?). Dalur was a dark country. The only tribe ever to go there was the Nightstar tribe. Aryann was a reckless warrior, and she did what she needed to. "Just get them ready, I'll tell you later." she said. Reed nodded respectively then headed off. "Oh," Aryann said, remembering. Reed paused and listened. "Bring me the one who does not belong." Reed nodded again, then continued on.

He walked to the front of the ranks of the Nightstar warriors. Each warriors had at least six years of training under their belts. They were superior in archery, swordplay, and throwing daggers. Every warrior had a bronze armband on their right arm. The armband resembled a dragon swallow its own tail. The symbol of the Nightstar tribe. Also every warrior had a piercing in his/her left ear cartiledge. The symbol of a warrior in the Nightstar tribe. He marched to the middle of the ranks, and stood very straight. He roared out the orders. "Mount your horses. Have weapons at hand. We go to Dalur in peace but armed." He smartly saluted the warriors. He unsheathed his sword and held it above his head. "Do all this in haste. Dismissed!" he yelled, then watched the warriors walk silently to where their horses were tied, farther into the woods.

Aryann watched all this, then looked at Alena. "Your brother is wondering where you are." She said softly, completely different from the person she was a minute before.

((Elenriel, I'm going to have Aryann break down later. I think it may be a chance for her and Alena to get to know each other better. Would it be okay if Aryann started talking to Alena about her plans and everything? Is that alright?))
