Griffin stood still in thought. Because I am like you. Those words were right in a sense, but he doubted that she had been through as much as he had. Griffin ran his tongue over his teeth as he thought, weighing his options. Finally, he came to a decision.

"Prove it." He stated bluntly.

"If you can jump so you are in front of me and so that we are looking face to face, then I will trust you." Griffin let out a sigh, "And then I will answer the questions that you most likely have."

Alex was slightly taken aback. She wasn't expecting that as his reply, if anything she expected him to jump off somewhere never to return. She bit her lip and thought hard. "Where to? Come on Alex think!"
She contemplated her apartment, but decided it was too risky. She smiled and closed her eyes and concentrated on somewhere remote.

The jump scar opened up and she took a deep breath and walked through it. She opened her eyes and looked at the stunning rock face of Uluru. She gasped at it's magnificence before pulling a face.
"Time to go" she muttered quietly to herself and re-opened the jump scar and walked out and stood no more than 12 inches from Griffin. Her face lit up and she grinned at him broadly.
"Now" she spoke, raising an eyebrow at him, "what was that about questions?"

Griffin saw the jump scar, and when she turned up 12 inches in front of his face he smiled. "Ah.... very good." He couldn't help but grin slightly. Another of his kind.

"And... how long have you been a jumper, miss?" Griffin inquired. He held out his hand for her to shake. "And m'names Griffin."

He seemed pleased, this was a relief. He offered his hand to her and asked her name and offered his. She looked at it cautiously, and then reached out towards it and shook it casually.
"Alex" she replied "the names' Alex"

How long have you been a jumper? he had asked her. She pondered his question for a moment, trying to recall her first time.

"I think I was about 6 or 7. I'm not really sure, the memories are fuzzy now" her smile faded as she thought of her parents and Selene. She mentally shook herself out of it and looked back up at him.
"What about yourself?" she asked politely

Griffin nodded politely at her words. "Since the age of 5." He replied when he asked about himself. With any luck he could just say 'Happy to meet you and I bid thee ado.' Griffin was not one for making long-term friendships. He only very rarely did that.

"I've been hunting Paladins since the age of 8." He added after a moments thought.
