John took the sudden teleportation on stride but Charles was less calm. His heart raced more quickly as he tried to gasp, "John..." Alarmed immediately, he turned to his half brother and held out his hand with four fingers curled towards the centre of his palm. He concentrated on Charles' heart and pressed one finger towards the centre, then another, until all four fingers were tapping at the area above his palm in a steady slow sequence. Charles felt his heart slow down, his rage ebbing away. Eventually he contented himself to lay on the one of the many beds as John quickly prepared him for the medical examination.

Kurt found Magneto and informed him of the urgent matter with John and Charles. He teleported them both to the infirmary, upon where they were met with both men. John's half brother Charles was on a nearby table looking more relaxed than when he was first brought to the mansion by John.

"Have you calmed him then John?" Eric asked, his tone unconcerned. Not for the well being of Charles, but knowing how talented John was. "How did this happen?" he continued on as John prepped.

"Eric, May I have a moment" Kurt asked almost quietly, hoping Magneto would hear him.

"You may go" Eric replied not even turning to face Kurt, knowing full well what it was Kurt wanted. "John and I will be fine here. Go, do what it is you have to do. If we need any help, I'll call on Paris."

"Thank you..." Kurt paused and looked over at John, "I hope he's alright mein freund" his words sincere as he bamfed back to the garden ruins.

"We were ambushed, Eric," John immediately said as he started to work on Charles, starting up the scanner. "The Marauders. We fought them and managed to beat them off. I tried to heal whatever Charles has but I think Owl did more damage than I thought."

"I see," was all Magneto said. All he needed to say.

"This worries me. They knew exactly where we would be. Well, where I would be. And this isn't their first attack. They've launched four raids on human communities in two weeks. I think Apocalypse is starting to move against us."

He frowned slightly. "Maybe. I'll see what I can find out. Continue working on him." He walked off, leaving John to do his work.

Kurt bamfed back to the garden ruins and the second he appeared Abby ran toward him. "How is he?" she asked, looking concerned.

"It is bad, but I think John can help him here." Kurt explained the situation.

Abby bowed her head and nodded, "I'm sure he can. Any idea on what happened?" she asked looking back up at him.

Kurt shook his head, "I did not stay, Eric will deal with it" he paused, giving her an intense look. "I needed to see you before.." he trailed off looking for the words.

"Before what?" Abby asked, now concerned about Kurts tone. "What's going on?"

"I...I have to go. I have a mission." he stroked her hair and frowned a little, "I must go immediately."

Abby pulled back slightly at his confession. "A mission? Where? Is this to do with John's brother?" she almost stammered the words out.

"Nein my love." he pulled her back to him. "This is about Destiny." he began to explain, trying to soothe her.

"Destiny? Your mothers..."

"Yes, Irene." Kurt interjected, scowling at the thought of helping his mother of all people. "It is very important I find her."

"Then I'm coming with you!" Abby blurted out. "Let me help you Kurt."

"I promised my mother I would go alone. To avoid arousing too much suspicion. I'm sorry Abigail" Kurt replied, he only called her Abigail when he was deadly serious.

"No." Abby shot back with a glare, "It could be a trap, anything. I'm coming with you wether you or Mystique likes it" she folded her arms, determined not to take no for an answer.

Kurt threw his hands up in the air. "You're not going to let this go are you?" he looked at her with a smirk. Pleased that he would not take this journey alone.

"Nope" she smirked back, a twinkle in her eye. "I don't have much to keep me here. I may as well help you out and keep you company." she gently punched at his arm. "Keep your butt outta trouble"

The siblings watched as Abby went off after Kurt silently. Minna made no move to follow her.

Meanwhile, Erchirion's gaze rested on Kira. He spoke, "So. Girl. What's your name?" His gaze hardened, knowing, that he could not intimadate her, yet he wished he could.

"Marshall," Kira spoke bluntly, not looking at the boy, "Kira Marshall." She tried to add a James Bond flare to it, but it didn't come out as canon as she had hoped for. She looked back up at Abby, curious to see if she would allow a few stragglers. A few meaning just her, of course.

Erchirion nodded slowly, "Interesting. What's your friend's power? The other girl." His gaze moved from her to his hand, wherehe played with a small flame.

"Ask her yourself," Kira commented, "You don't have to take such interest in me."

Erchirion's eyes blazed quickly, for only for a brief moment as he regarded her answer. But he remained silent, the flame running around his hand again.

John worked quickly on his injured brother, already stimulating his blood cells to replicate quickly. The white blood cells had already began fighting off the pathogens that had latched on during the battle. However, healing Charles' muscles and organs required more time, something that John found himself lacking. But he didn't have much of a choice.
