Evelyn still eyed the soldier warily, but explained. "My name is Evelyn White. I'm a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and I serve as a nurse. I come from New York, but I've been all over the country. I volunteered to come to Britain, and was sent here."

"All right miss," Calli tugged at her pierced earring "Anything else? Youre American right? I have another question for you," she slipped back into her polite english-lady tone of voice "Have you seen... Anything going on that shouldnt be? "

Hascy looked at the newcomer, he was talking to some nurse, but his thoughts were distracted as he heard some talk. There was a radio at some tent and Hascy went closer, there was a captain talking to a liutenant about something. There were news about something, Hascy couldn`t help smiling grimly as he heard that the war started between italy and britain. He stepped into the tent taking off his hat.

"Excuse me sire, I couldn`t help over hearing your nice conversation about the italians attack and all..."

The captain made a threatening look at Hascy, but calmed his temper.

"Yes, but their attack has been halted for now and we are going to move soon enough."

"Where to?"

"Non of your business until we arrive there..."

Hascy tsked and turned away, he walked out of the tent with a smile as he put his barret back on.

Evelyn shook her head. "No...<i>sir</i>..." she said, looking at the soldier's throat. She leaned in and whispered, "You're not a man, are you?"

"I beg your pardon! But you are right... Calliope Blackadder at your service. Voice must've slipped aye? I am trying... It just gets so tiresom after a year or more. And talking to a civelised person must've bought it on. Not a word of this to anyone though. I'm undercover see? With a licence to kill." she winked and made to walk off.

Scholes was bored. There was very silently in the camp.
"Will we ever move? Soldiers are bored, they need a battle!" - thought and laughed.
He decided to visit his badly wounded friend in hospital. Accidentally, James saw Calli talking to Evelyn White. He grinned.
His friend felt a bit better. When he was going to exit (:P), he saw Evelyn again. This time she was alone.
"My name is Lt Scholes. You're new in here, right? That's good, we need nurses. Oh, and you shouldn't flirt with Blackadder. He seems to be quite... strange." James winked.

"But before you go off to chat with your mates find your liutenant and give him this.."

The captain gave Hascy a note about the news and Hascy smirked, he looked around reading the note quietly as he smoked his just lighted cigarette. He saw Scholes by a tent with a nurse and than annoying newcomer, Hascy hmped and walked up to them. He offered the note to Scholes with a smirk.

"A note from the captain, just fresh news... meant to stay among higher officers, but dont worry I won`t tell unless you do.."

"Okay, thanks Gavin. Wait... we're moving west! Haha!" - James kissed Evelyn in affect. - "Oh, sorry, miss White. But I'm so happy. We're going to kick Italian asses! Finally!

EDIT. Can our soldiers talk about ww2 events (i.e. battle for England etc.)?

"A counter attack sounds sure as hell good to me!"

Hascy grimly smiled.

Evelyn stopped as another soldier, Lt. Scholes, spoke to her. "Pardon me, sir, I was flirting with no one," she said. She jmuped in shock as he kissed her. It took great self-control to prevent herself from slapping him, but as he walked away, she drolly replied, "Good luck," though she admitted to herself that it would savagely satisfy her to see him in physical pain at that moment. She sighed. Men sometimes. She exchanged a look with Calli and went back into the medical tent, still looking for that tourniquet.
