James leapt from his chair so fast it almost looked like he had tried to dive for a Snitch. Whirling to face the dark-haired young man, he grabbed his shoulders and shook him rather roughly, eyes wide.

"Where have you bloody BEEN?" he demanded. "Do you have any IDEA what kind of TORMENT they've put me through here?!"

James released Sirius and spun around, one hand running through his hair in an effort to distract himself. He took a deep breath and turned back to face his best friend. "Right. Sorry. Erm, torment, which was, um, doing nothing. Right."

He frowned suddenly, studying Sirius. "Alright, Pads? Everything okay, yeah?"

Remus looked into deep eyes of his old professor Dumbledore. The man looked so tired, but in himself he still had strenght to face a werewolf. But Remus couldn't control himself. It was bad even without the transformation. He was mad enough to crush something and kill someone. Margaret was missing and that was killing all sense in him. She was no where to be found. And scary idea was growing in his mind - She might be... He tried to block the thought with all his strenght but failed. Dead. That wasn't simply and abstract thought. Even sane part of him knew that.
"Stay calm Remus. Try." Dumbledore repeated "We will get you back in the Shrieking Shack just in few moments. You have to get there." Remus had lost look in his eyes but they were burning as he angirly tried to push Dumbledore off "No! I have to find her!"
Later than night, the ones who were listening carefully could hear mad growls from somewhere under the ground. Remus Lupin was closed in the Shrieking Shack and was unable to do anything. At least untill the full moon passed.

Fiona sighed as her brother switched on the light in the hallway, she closed the front door behind her and kicked off her shoes, without saying a word to Danny she climb the stairs up to her room.
She closed her curtains, only to stare at the full moon momentarily, her thoughts straying to her cousin Remus.
She turned and flopped onto her bed, falling asleep almost instantly, her dreams filled of the past week.

"Whoa there. I was with Dani, she's hurt you know." Sirius said.
"So, what torment have they put you through, Prongs?"

James grimaced. "Yes, I know... is she alright? Nothing too bad, right?"

He shook his head, glancing at Sirius with the faint ghost of a smile -- if one could call it a smile; it was haunted, weary: tired of being hunted and with the War in general. His smile flickered, then died as he glanced down with an imperceptible shrug.

"Nothing," he murmured. "Being stupid... just... feel like I'm not doing anything useful. Don't care what the others say. 'Course there's my family, but what can I do to protect them if I'm just sitting around? And what if I die? Was attacked today and..." his words trailed off into silence as he shook his head.

He glanced up at Sirius with an apologetic look. "I'm sorry. I'm being selfish... you're alright, though, aren't you?"
