Ghyreian pursed her lips. She had intended the question as a test, because she knew the shaman to be dead. The Qualinesti, however, was more elusive that she'd anticipated. She exchanged a glance with Edwin, the question evident in her silver eyes: Can he be trusted?

Ignoring the glint in her eyes (he knew what THAT meant), he hastened to carry on. "So, shall we resume the 'hunt', or is it a 'retreat'?" he chuckled to himself.

Ghyreian dove back into the water. She began to see lights up ahead.

Edwin sighed and dived after hear leaving Meneldor to dive after them, indeed there were lights up ahead yet of what king Edwin couldn`t tell all tough it had to somehow involve something else than fire as it seemed to be underwater.

The Mage created a magical bubble around him, and stepped into the water. "Mages do not SWIM." he said with a sneer.

As she neared, Ghyreian had to blink a few times to make certain her eyes weren't deceiving her. What she saw ahead was nothing short of spectacular.

An entire underwater city lay respledent below them. The entire city seemed to to comprised of ice. Crystal dwellings and faceted walls glittered amongst a sea of softly glowing orbs that sparkled from a distance like fireflies.

"You intrude upon our domain." The mellifluous voice rang coldly right at Ghyreian's ear. She spun around in the water to be confronted by two luminous eyes set in pale blue skin. The sea elf made no threatening gesture, but simply stared at the trio.

"A sea elf...."

Edwin muttered and looked around for more of them as the city had to be filled with more elves, wether they would imprison the mages was a thing Edwin was worried of. He coughed within the bubble.

"We have our reasons..."

The sea elf looked both ways. From virtually nowhere, a dozen more sea elves emerged. They leveled their tridents at the intruders.

"We mean you no harm if you mean us no harm," the first sea elf said blandly. "We have not seen the likes of your kind in an eon. Come with us."

The sea elves, forming a circle around them, began steering them towards the city.

Edwin looked calmly around at the elves as they didn`t seem to oppose a real threat and nor did the elves of Qualinost when they had captured Edwin and Ghyreian. Edwin went along quietly and admired the city more than worried of their fates as he knew that elves appriciated all life.

Meneldor follows the odd bunch of Elves. He had never seen Sea Elves before. Oh yes, he had read of them, who had not? But to see them in the 'flesh'.... was a different matter.

Their captors led them through the resplendent streets of the city, until at last they came to a garden of sorts. In the place of flowers stood exquisite crystalline statues depicting all manner of Krynnish races. Their intricately carved faces, frozen in time, glimmered in the clear water.

A raised circular platform, on which stood a dazzling white throne, dominated the center of the ice garden. On the throne sat a powerfully built sea elf. His luminous green eyes appraised the mages as they were brought before him.

"Presenting the Speaker of the Moon."

"The speaker of the moon." Meneldor repeated in a whisper in wonder.

Edwin`s eyes turned at the quiet voice of Meneldor as he didn`t understand what was so miracolous about this all, he obviously was the same to these elves as speaker of the sun and stars to those that lived above the surface. Rulers all the same, but their only way out was probably with her help or they might even receive aid from them yet that seemed highly unlikely.

"Greetings..."

Edwin began speaking with a steady voice as the elves eyes turned to him, it seemed funny to him that he was constantly surrounded by elves as he was only a mere human, of course with the exception of Meneldor whom would probably become a lich one day perhaps to survive. They would all live long after his death, at least they might have the threat of getting bored in life.

"I don`t mind saying this, we are in a hurry and you are slowing us down so unless you can help us in anyway then you might as well let us go since we possess no threat to you..."

The Speaker of the Moon leaned forward, studying the trio intently. His gaze slid over the two dark elves with obvious disdain. "No threat?" he spoke softly, scorn evident in his mellifluous voice. "We shall see. Our location is protected from scrying by a number of powerful wards. How did you learn of us?"

"We didn't," Ghyreian replied flatly, returning his look with equal disdain.

The Speaker pretended like she didn't exist. "You are seeking something in our possession, not so? The ice barbarians have sought this prize and failed. What makes you think you could best our challenges?"
