Charlize was about to say something to Natalie, but then she turned and saw the Hessian there. She also saw him holding Ichabod. She sighed deeply and released Ichabod from the Hessian's grip.

The Hessian released Ichabod and looked to Charlize. His eyes were tired and bloodshot....apparently, he did not want to hear anymore explanations about this insane incident.
Looking away and toward the floor, he sighed and looked as if he would fall asleep at any moment. After all, it had been a long day....

Natalie looked at him, atleast the geuss seemed reasonable but she did not believe that was how they all got here.

Charlize watched the Hessian more and swallowed hard. She slowly walked over to him and then wrapped her arms around him tightly. She slowly rested her head down against his chest and closed her eyes. "Ich liebe Sie, Hessian..." She whispered softly to him.
[Translation: I love you, Hessian.]

The Hessian gently rested his hand on Charlize's back but he did not return her glance. His eyes searched the starlight for a couple seconds and then he released his embrace on Charlize. Striding toward Ichabod, he grabbed his arm and tugged tightly, trying to pull him back into the house.
