Elendi, not smiling, sighed. "I am sorry, Vennir. Here..." She put down her sword and put her hands on his arm, her hands glowing a slight red. Vennir felt a slight stinging sensation go through his arm and then Elendi lowered her hands. "That should heal your wound. I did not mean to actually hit you...my instincts took over my mind. I apologize."

Vennir looked slightly surprised by her healing powers, but turned to her,

"Thank you, but I think I deserved it in sorts. I havn't practiced in ages it seems. I'm surprised I blocked your first blow." He moved his arm around, testing his joints to see if they would do his bidding yet. They were a bit stiff, but otherwise were fine, thanks to Elendi's healing.

"Perhaps you could show me some tricks?"

Elendi smiled. "I would be honored. And, since I have been so focused in swordplay, I haven't used my elements in so long. Perhaps, you could help me ger stronger in that area, if you don't mind."

"Of course, I might be a bit rusty myself, but I will give it my best. Now. Which first, swordplay or elements? You choose."

"Swordplay. It doesn't take as much energy." Elendi said and then thought for a moment. "Now, you have to choose between having one or two swords when you fight. I like two, but most use one."

"I myself am more comfortable with only one, I don't know how well I could handle two..." Vennir looked to the ground, and then his head shot back up, "So, where do we start?"

"Well, you blocked well and used your instints, and that is good." Elendi said, nodding. "But you where tricked at the beginning. We will start with that." They practiced for at least 2 hours then Elendi sighed, saying, "You are good at sparring. Well done."

Vennir bowed his head in thanks, breathing heavily and sheathing his sword.

"Thank you, Elendi, I feel I know much more about swordplay, no matter how sore I am." He took his sword from his waist and set it down on the ground by a rock that was a few feet behind him. "Now, elements. The most important thing, as you probably know is to conserve your energy. The second most important thing is - Don't think to hard. I have seen many people consentrate so hard on their element that they fail to pay attention to anything else, and... They end up at the point of a blade. So, what elements are you able to use?"

Decian was waiting for a reply when one of his captains, who was among the ten outside, contacted me.
"My lord," the captain said. "A fairly large sized goblin raiding party is coming over."
"How large," said Decian.
"Not sure, but I guess seventy or eighty."
"Could this be a trap?"
"Though I doubt that, that is a possibility."
"Orders?"
"Get ready to move. If the goblins make their way here, we should distance ourselves from the rebels. Have the archers attack the goblins if they come too close."
"Yes, sir."
The Death Bringers with crossbows began lifting them and aimed for the goblins while those that brought longbows began to string it and nock.

"What are you to fire at?" Thane asked. "We are allies, are we not?" His grin was wide and his voice strangely happy.

Decian walked to the half-elf, pointed out where his men were preparing their bows, and said, "Look over there and tell me what you see. Unless my captain is lying to me, which he isn't, you will see a goblin raiding party."

Thane glanced through the trees. He saw movement. "Your eye is sharp" He commented. He pulled the bow from his back and nocked an arrow. "The goblins will indeed be in for a treat."

(GEEZ! I leave for one day, and so much happens..oy. *sighs*)

((Basically what I can figure out is the Death Bringers are talking with Tajien, and they started to load their crossbows at a goblin raiding party that is apparently waiting to attack, while Elendi and Vennir have some sort of weapons practice thing...*shrugs*))
