Sparse trees and dying grass were the only identifying marks of the border of the great forest of Irvanhri. It was a cool evening, and the dying sun cast strong, bright rays, even as it began to sink towards the horizon. The only sounds were mournful cries of solitary birds, winging their flight across the open area inbetween trees with the sound of softly beating wings. It was in this relatively peaceful clearing that three travelers decided to stop for the night, and thanks to teamwork, their campsite was set up within moments, and a fire blazed merrily within a ring of stones in the center of the site. Food and water became the next priorities of the weary trio, and a soft arguement was held as they tried to figure out who would go, and who would stay behind at the camp.

"I hunted last night, I'm not doing it two nights in a row!" said the female of the group heatedly, her red hair falling in her face as she shook her head vigorously. Pushing it out of her face irritably, she moved it just enough to reveal pointed ears beneath the mass of hair, before promptly hiding her ears again.

"And I gathered water, so I'm not doing that." added one of the males, a near double of the female, with the same red hair, cropped shorter, and the same pointed ears.

"Fine, I'll hunt, and Raina can gather water, while you stay behind, Rylin. How's that?" said the last of the tree, a tanned male with curly, sandy blond hair, and rounded ears that marked him as a human. His tone was calm enough, but it was clear he didn't want to argue with his companions.

"Sounds like a good enough compromise, Varna." replied the female, Raina, getting to her feet, before gathering up all the water skins.

"Aye. I'll make sure the fire stays burning." said Rylin, the male elf, and moved closer to the fire just that.

Varna, the human, just shook his head and gathered up a nearby bow and quiver, then headed off towards the thick of the trees to try and find meat.

Raina, after finally gathering up the water skins, headed off into the distant trees as well, though her goal was to find a stream or river. After just a few minutes of walking, she found what she was looking for and knelt next to the small rivulet of water, and began filling up the emptied skins. Just when she had filled up most of them, however, the snap of a stick being snapped close by made her jerk her head up sharply, and she reached for the dagger at her waist and unsheathed it quicker than sight. "Who's out there?"

(Cue anyone..and just as a sidenote, you could also run into either of my two males, if you wanted to. Rylin's still at camp, and Varna's among the trees hunting.)

Latanya's head shot up. She had known it wouldn't be long until someone caught her in the trees, but that didn't bother her.
"I"m here," she said, and stepped out from behind a tree. She looked at Raina defiantly.

Eyes narrowing because of the defiant look on the girl's face, Raina nevertheless lowered her dagger, despite wanting to raise it. "And were you perhaps observing me, or was this just a chance meeting?"

Crouched catlike in the bough of a plentifully leafed oak tree, an elf's violet eyes watched the group. They had been for quite some time. "How they evaded the border guard thus far is a mystery to me," she murmured to herself, and defly shifted position. The circlet of silver that rested on her black hair even now glittered slightly. She'd prefer to confront them once all were back at the camp.

Landen, who had been spying on the group for quite sometime, stepped out of his hiding place behind a large oak tree, which was groaning as it swayed in the strong evening wind. Raising his hands in surrender, he stood infront of Raina,

"Peace, please, I am just a traveler, tracking some game..." He lied, faking a heavy accent, trying to put on a pitiful face.
