(I was going to wait for Star Gazer, but I guess I'll go ahead.)
Airion lowered his sword only a little bit. "Why should we trust you?" he asked. Too many people were just spontaeneously showing up for his comfort. He was thankful that, like Rylin and Rinaya, his hood was pulled up, hiding the claw marks on his right cheek that marked him as a Celestial warrior. He didn't want these people to learn too much before he was sure that they could trust them.
---
"Please," Yara said again, "We mean you no harm." She lifted her hands in a gestured that conveyed that she was not going to draw weapons. "My name is Yara, and this is Tynel. I am an elf of these lands, and I know the area. I saw that you were shipwrecked, and I wondered if I may able to offer any assistence."

"Assistance."
Rylin repeated the word dubiously, this was the second time in one day that the offer had been given. It was enough to make one a bit suspicious, naturally, especially with all the circumstances to their plight considered. Regardless, his stiff stance loosened just a bit, and he even went so far as to lower the mask from shielding his eyes, yet didn't reveal the lower half of his face yet, keeping the telltale tattoes carefully hidden.
"Wary as I am, I am thankful to hear that offer, regardless. As it is now, our present course is very uncertain."

Everya (still a rabbit) retreated back into the trees where she shifted into her true and normal appearance. She sat on the ground and cleared her mind and tried to read the thoughts of those settled nearby.

Miha's eyes glittered curiously.
They most likely know I'm here...
"Oi! I'm Miha, a human, I was wondering if you would like some assistance as well." Miha said as she jumped down from her perch on the tree and walked towards them.

Casting a sharp glance at the newcomer, Rylin exchanged a quick glance with Rinaya, whose expression was inscrutiable.
"Anyone else going to come out of the woodwork?" he muttered dryly, not directed at anyone in particular.

Everya smirked, at Rylin's comment. Crossing her legs she continued the search through the groups minds, hoping she would not be noticed.

At Rylin's comment, Tynel promptly rose his hand.
"Well, if you didn't happen to see the freezing wonder over here, I'm here as well."

Rather than respond, Rylin waved one hand, briefly shifting his sleeve to reveal the elaborate wristguard he wore. "Already saw you." he then said, with a slightly amused glance at Rinaya, whose eyes were narrowed a bit.
Don't even think about taking that mask off.. he took her expression to say, but ignored it as he lowered the blasted thing the rest of the way, revealing his features completely. "And also..I believe someone's trying to probe our minds." he said as an aside, having felt something brush up against his mental barriers several times already.

Tynel raised his eyebrows and tossed his head a bit as he settled back down into a sitting position.
"Well, Im innocent." He said. He had magical powers, but he didnt just go around and probe peoples minds on a whim.

"One down.." muttered Rylin, as Rinaya scoffed quietly. Without preempt, the white-haired female then removed the veil that had covered her face, finding it very..irksome just then.
"And if they keep it up, whoever it is will have to worry about a spearblade tickling their ribs..I loathe anyone trying to probe my mind." she said, in a clear warning tone. Her expression also matched this tone, making her impact even clearer.

This was turning into a very strange night.
The wolf side of Rothar Ebonfang didn't mind the chill wind that rode the breakers and buffeted his forest green cloak about his muscular frame. Rather, his canine alter ego was on the hunt - savage and unrelenting. It was the more cultured human side of him that found the mounting sea spray quite cold, and the tempestuous wind detrimental to his powerful jog over the sand dunes.
In the distance he made out a flickering campfire. He sniffed the air, and the telltale scent of flesh told him he'd found his quarry. Two were white-haired, one black. Which meant the violet-eyed one should be present as well...
A very strange night indeed.
His employer had told him, among other things, that these shipwreck survivors were the most dangerous entities that'd set foot on Varahni in ten thousand years. He knew not why, but only that they had to be eliminated at all costs.
He hefted his bone crossbow, its head shaped like a grotesque skull. He nocked a poisoned missile and dropped down to one knee behind a sand dune to observe the group.

Airion looked at all the newcomers suspiciously. He too could feel that someone was trying to probe his mind, and he knew it could be anyone of them. He hefted his sword a bit after Rinaya spoke. "Aye," he added to her words, "As do I, and when I find whoever it is that is doing this, they will be unhappy to find out that I have no qualms about using this blade." He fixed each of the strangers with an itense glare before relaxing a bit.
---
"It isn't me," Yara said, "It is beyond my ability to read minds." She held out her hand and a harmless flame flickered above her palm. "This is the only power I have, and I have no intentions of using it against anyone without due cause."

"That's certainly good to know." Rylin stated, quite calmly, glancing with a brief smile at the flame flickering above the elf's palm. Suddenly, the fire around which they were gathered began burning with a greater intensity, as the cold wind began stirring again, whipping at clothes and unprotected skin quite cruelly. The source of this increase in warmth was, undoubtedly, Rylin, who had his hand stretched towards the flickering, yet strong, flames.
