Will was surprised at Elizabeth's intervention between him and Aragorn, but he allowed her to speak her mind.
Glancing back to Aragorn, he very hesitantly said, "We come from Port Royal. I am William Turner and this is Elizabeth Swann."
Looking to Jack and Barbossa, he awaited them to introduce themselves.

Gimli reluctantly lowered his axe, but didn't put it back in his belt. He frowned as one of the men introduced himself. "Port Royal? Where's that?" he asked gruffly.

Gandalf decided to speak up and he came up beside Aragorn. Glamdring was still in it's sheath, but, as Aragorn did, he kept a firm grip on it. "I am Mithrandir, server of the Secert Fire of Anor...and I have travelled all over Middle-Earth, from Hobbiton all the way to the very fires of Mordor, once, long ago. And I have never heard of, nor been too, a land known as Port Royal of what you speak."

((Hey Frodo, if this starts right when Jack and Barbossa are swordfighting in the cave, Will and Elizabeth aren't engaged yet, are they? In fact, Elizabeth's promised to Norrington))
"We are not of this Middle-Earth, then," said Elizabeth, coming to what seemed to her an obvious answer. "But we mean you no harm."
This was added purely to pacify the stunted, bearded little man who was hefting his axe and puffing as though he meant to charge through them on that instant, Port Royal or no. "Port Royal is on the Caribbean," she began carefully, searching their faces. No sign of recognition - only more confusion, if that was possible. "Inhabited by the British and the King's Navy?" Still none. Elizabeth tried one last time. "Have none of you heard of Spain? Or the Americas?"

Sam stayed at the rock with the other hobbits, although they were all looking curiously at the newcomers.
---
Boromir's face grew impatient, as he addressed the lady, "Spain? America's? What nonsense is this, of which you speak? I know well all the lands in Middle Earth, and there isn't a Spain I can assure you." He scoffed slightly, keeping an eye on the two men back of them who looked even stranger than this young man and woman.

"Well, then." Elizabeth bowed carefully, a polite inclination of her head, and turned to the others. Jack and Barbossa received a slight curl of her lip, as if in disdain. "Obviously, something's happened to catapult us into some other world." What she thought, but did not say, was that those two idiots, what with their immortal clashing of swords and all, had gotten them into something that would be difficult to get out of.
"So," continued Elizabeth brightly, "I suggest we make the most of it!"

(Yeah! You're right Meldawen! Will and Elizabeth are not engaged yet! I'll edit it!)
Frodo meanwhile had released his grip on the ring and come back to his senses. With his mind clearing and his focus back on track, he whispered to Sam, "Come on, Sam. Let's get a closer look."
Quietly jumping off the large white stone, Frodo crept behind Gandalf, Gimli, Aragorn, and Boromir. He then hid himself behind a green bush and peeked his curly topped head through a branch. -------------------------------------------------
Will argued back to Gandalf, "I'm sorry sir, but you are mistaken. Port Royal does exist...........but maybe just not here..." His eyes shot back and forth as he examined the lush scenery.
Looking to Elizabeth, he said softly, "Stay behind me." Slowly walking forward, Will said, "We mean you no harm, however, we do need your help to find our way back."

Gandalf looked at Will and put a hand up to his chin, rubbing it thoughtfully. "Hmmmm..." He mummered, then said, "This is some wizardry beyond my skillteen." He sighed. "Well, you could either occupany us on our qu..um, errands, or you may leave and make your way and try to find this...Port Royal you speak of."

"No," said Elizabeth promptly, with no trace of resentment but with no intention of submitting. She still had the pistol, which sat comfortably in her grip, and stepped out to stand beside Will. Hesitantly, and slowly at first, she held out a hand to the foremost of the group, which happened to be Aragorn. "We would be - grateful - for your assistance."
Merry watched this play out with a sort of mild interest, but eventually he shrugged and sat down on a rock to rifle through his pack. "Say, Pip, you haven't got anything left over from luncheon?"

"We would be happy to assist you in whatever way we can," Aragorn replied before anyone else could, glancing reproachfully at the others. "But come. The sun is setting, and we have provisions back at our camp. We can discuss the situation further once we are there, but not before we have eaten. The least we can do is provide you with a decent meal before determining what is to be done."
Barbossa returned Elizabeth's look of disdain before reluctantly removing his hand from the hilt of his sword. He considered mentioning to the man that he hadn't eaten anything in ten years, but instead simply nodded. "Captain Hector Barbossa," he said shortly. "An' we'd appreciate any assistance ye can offer."

Gandalf nodded and walked over to the hobbits. "Come, but no speech of Frodo or IT, you all understand me?" Gandalf whispered and then turned to follow Aragorn.

Frodo nodded in agreement to Gandalf's orders. He grabbed the chain around his neck and silently hid the ring back inside near the collar of his shirt.
Following Gandalf back to the camp area, he eyed the new comers with intrigue. Would they possibly try to take the ring from him? --------------------------------------------------------
"Thank you for your assistance," Will said softly as he followed Aragorn back to the camp.
His eyes were wide open for any signs of this becoming a trap.

Gandalf sat on a rock and sighed, rubbing his head. This was too much for an old wizard to handle.

"Are we going to camp here then, Mr Gandalf?" asked Sam pressingly, looking with concern at Frodo. "Seeing as we have business to sort out an' all, I was thinkin' we might not go on anymore tonight."
The hobbit stayed very close to Frodo in a protective way, arching up like a cat if anyone so much as looked at him strangely.
[post for Boromir later]

Legolas watched the strange newcomers. He stood on the top of a boulder, which gave a good view of the camp that was made, and the surrounding country side...

Gimli reluctantly lowered his axe and followed the others back to the camp. He didn't trust these people, and didn't agree with Aragorn's decision. Still, Aragorn and Gandalf were the leaders of the fellowship.
