Galilee stayed for a bit, but then her curiosity got her. Slapping her hat back on she ran out ofher quarters.

Glancing at the horizon as the others talked, she studied the ship. After a minute or so, and then her mind was even less at ease.

"Miss," Galilee said softly to Scarlett, "Do you recognize the ship?"

They neared the burning ship. Scarlett got more and more nervious as they came closer to it. Soon you could see the Spanish flag over the bow, burning. On the main mast, which was still up, a black flag with a skull and crossing swords flew.
"Pirates..." she muttered, a shiver running down her neck that wasn't just the cold.

Now the Venturer, the ship they were on, came up next to the burning Spanish ship. On board were many corpses, a few pirates, but mostly spanish soldiers...

Nighthawk looked at the deck of the burning ship. One of the bodies caught her attention, and she looked hard at it. Suddenly she gasped and ran towards the hold, away from a familiar face, forever haunting her dreams. Though she looked tough on the outside, this was too much.

Tears trickled down her cheeks to splash on the deck beneath her feet. She was curled up beside a pile of rope, resting her chin miserabally on her knees.

"Wait... that person, right there. He moved... There's a survivor," Scarlett called out, pointing...

Dean had watched, thoughts of hwat she was lod about her father came to her. Did he ever do this kind thing. But when she hear about the survior she came out of her trance and yelled. "Bring them aboard."

Galilee's eyes watered at the distruction; could this have been the fate her father had met? That her brother, Claude had met as well?

Her sadness quickly became the most dreaded of secondary emotions; anger. She felt nothing but cruel contempt for pirates even more so then she had when they had set sail on their voyage.

"Captain," said Galilee softly, "we must hurry so we don't loose the trail of the pirates. I would hate to leave a jail with an empty cell."
