Scott dismissed his idea of calling Eric's wife on his own cellphone as Ted asked this question. He figured that he could talk to Eric's wife, if need be, when she came home. Right now, they had other things they needed to get down.

Laura hastily dialed her husband's cell number from their home phone, her hands shaking from the shock of the news. She had just tried his work number only to find that he was not in. Honey, pick up she silently pleaded as she waited impatiently on the line.

At the crime scene, one of the policemen walked up to Eric, holding a ringing cell phone. "It looks like it's your wife." he said, handing it to Eric. "Ask her if she would come down here."

Eric answered quickly. "Laura?"

"Hello? Eric? Did you hear about what happened?" she questioned, her voice tinged with a sense of panic.

"Yeah, I did. Honey, I'm here at the accident scene now, and the police want you here too." Eric started pacing across the grass.

"Uhh, sure sweetheart. I'll be there." she replied as her mind ran wild and she clutched the phone even tighter.

"Ok, thanks honey." He didn't want to hang up, but the policeman was still standing there, waiting for the call to end. "I better go, I'll see you soon."

"Man, you got to change your cell phone ring," Ted directed at Eric, "the whole rang-rang-rang thing... lame." Ted Elgeston was scraping off some of the blood he noticed on the car, and inside he was wondering why one of the two detectives working for him hadn't stopped him yet from recking the crime scene.

"Okay, honey. I'll be there soon." she replied numbly as she hung up. With that she quickly patted down her blonde hair and smoothed her skirt before grabbing the car keys, and locking the door. No need to involve our driver. she thought to herself as she walked to their car. Pushing the button to open the garage door, she quickly got into the car and started the engine. She drove out of the garage and hit another button to open the automatic security gate and drove through before closing both the garage door and the gate by pressing two other buttons and then headed for the crime scene.

"Your wife is coming, I presume," Ted told Eric while standing up and brushing some of the grass off of himself, "but you still haven't answered my question, 'Do you or do you not know where Clara Melvin was driving from?'"

"She's coming." Eric said. "And no, I don't know where Clara was driving." He paused. "Wait... last time we had dinner, she mentioned something about a party. It would've been last night, I think. She didn't say anything else about it, just that she wouldn't be able to have dinner at our house that night."

"Party? Why wasn't I invited?" Ted asked himself and soon spoke up, "Hmm.. any clue where the party was at, that would probably be a good thing to know about. Scott, write that down."

Eric shook his head. "I dont' know. I know Clara was a member of a few clubs and such- it could have been for one of those."

"What are the names of her clubs?" Logan asked. He scrubbed a hand through his dark hair. The routine questioning was so dull, but he had to have something to go off of.
