Dean slammed his car door shut and started the car. He saw Sam get in out of the corner of his eye but he didn't care. He wanted to get away. Dean blasted the Metallica and drove out of the driveway.

Sam wanted to say something, but he didn't know what. What would he say? Ask Dean what was wrong? Yeah, like that had worked every other time.

Terri got up an looked out her window, and saw Dean drive away. Sitting on her bed she heard her mother Enter her room. "What do you want?"

Dean pulled into the motel parking lot, then got out of the car without a word and slammed the door. He walked inside the room and layed down on the bed, suppressing a heavy sigh.

Sam followed Dean, careful not to say anything to stupid. "Dean, you ok?" He asked as he watched his brother flop onto the bed.

"No, Sam, I'm not ok!" Dean said roughly. He shook his head. "Man!" He sighed.

"Well, why not?"

"I dunno Sam...I saw Terri again. I thought I'd be fine when she left the message but..."

"You were together, weren't you?"

Dean sat up a little. "How'd ya find out?"

Sam chuckled a little. "One guess."

"Darn it, Sarah. Can't that woman keep her mouth shut?"

Terri didn't look at her mother. "I called him, you know, told him there was a demon issue. Then left. Then like it was destiny, he drove by, and it almost like back then."

Sarah walked over and sat by her daughter. She loved Terri, but didn't understand why she loved Dean. "Terri, you have to let him go. He only came for the demon."

Sam smiled. "Yeah, she creeps me out. It felt like she was...." Sam hung his head, embarrased to finish the sentence.

Dean got interested in Sam's embarrasment and in the moment forgot about his depression over Terri. "Felt like she was what?" He said, with a half-smile.

Sam looked up at Dean and smiled. "I dunno...kinda like she was hitting on me." At Dean's facial expression he laughed.

"Hitting on you? Sammy, wow, you sure got the ladies going!" Dean laughed.

Terri looked at her Mother. "He still loves me. Be fore he left he . . ." Terri swallowed how could she repaeat his words, and speak of his actions to her mother, who she knew wouldn't understand.

Sarah felt tension within Terri. "What did he do to you Terri? What has he done to make my poor angel so demonish?" Sarah asked, without thinking. She hated Dean more than her own husband, who she hated a lot. How could Terri know what love was anyway?

Terri sighed. "We kissed, but then he told me we couldn't be together, he didn't want to break my heart again. I told him that I would go with him, but he refused an left. He said he didn't want to see me hurt."

"See Terri, this is what happens when you run off with a hooligan like Dean! How could you be so stupid? He'd break your heart anyday for some chick he met at a bar!" Sarah had had it with Dean, and now she was telling Terri about it.

"We, uh...went together for a while. Then dad went missing. I had to go after him, Sam. And I hurt her bad when I said we had to seperate. I couldn't tell her why. I left her a message on her phone, and she kept calling, but I never answered. I didn't want to get her hurt..." Dean said, explaining everything to Sam...almost...

"Dean, she still loves you, and you still love her. Why can't you be together?" Sam asked, still not comprehending.

"Sam, come on, I'm not gonna lead the woman I love to her deathbed! She would get hurt! She scares easy, and...Sam, please understand!" Dean was desperate for someone to know what he was going through.

Sam was silent for a while, thinking it through. All the while Dean was staring at him hopefully. "I do understand. I felt the same way with Jessica." It still pained him to think of Jessica because, in a way, he still loved her.

"But you don't know that do you Terri? You've spent what, an hour with him since you last saw him? He could've changed SO MUCH since the last time, right? Plus, I've never liked him." At Terri's look of shock she continued. "That's right, I've NEVER liked him! And why not Sam, he is so much cuter!" Her eyes kinda fluttered.

Dean knew Sam would think of Jessica. "Thanks bro." After a minute of uncomfortable silence Dean spoke. "So, what do you say to something to eat?" He asked cheerfully.

Sam shrugged. "Sure." He said, laughing inside at how casual they were after that discussion.

As the two brothers were walking out the door Dean put his arm in front of Sam and stopped him. "We never had that conversation Sam." He smiled slightly, then patted Sam's chest two times hard as he could.

Sam smiled. "Yeah, sure. Oh and I'm sure a bruise will appear in about 20 minutes, no worries."

"Darn I was hoping for more like ten." Dean said, smiling and walking out the door.
