"Ooof!" The dwarf's breath escaped from his lungs as the Witch's heel of her shoe dug into his small back.
Most of the air came out of him because of that, but the rest of the air came because his belly already had a hard time staying in place by that belt, so having his belly being pushed over the tight belt made it all the uncomfortable.
He sat upwards, and gave a nasty glance back at the Witch, before turning back around and whipping the stags hard on the back which made the sled dash down the hill even faster than before.

The witch and her sled were now approaching a frozen river ahead of them. Jadis sat up higher in her seat, as if to see what in front of them about 15 feet away.
Her eyes squinted slightly and then widened like saucers. The color of her eyes changed once again to a turquoise color but it almost looked as if her pupils were in the shape of flames. She screamed loudly at the dwarf, "FASTER! FASTER! I can see them fool! Get the sled going! FASTER!" The witch was furious and anxious to attack.

Suddenly the sled came to a screeching hault. There was silence for a moment. Then the flushed face of the dwarf's came peering around his thick shoulder, "...we can't make it m'lady...the ice is too thin."

Clevesna looked over her shoulder to see down the hill, and on the other side of the river was the witch.
"come one. We have to hurry," she called to the others, and picked up the pace...

Sery looked back and forgot any thoughts of conversation she had...she went at full gallop and looked sideways at both crescha and clevesna .....she saw clevesna struggling and asked her "how...much...longer?!" in a despairing voice, she knew the ice was too thin for the witch but she would find a way....jadis always found a way. she looked again at clevesna and said "c'on cant be much longer now, come ON!"

The witch almost flew out of the sled when it stopped. She gripped hard onto the sled.....and looked as if she was hanging on for dear life. She breathed heavily as the dwarf spoke to her and then narrowed her eyes down on him. "Too thin??? Too thin?" She reached down and put her arm around him gently. "You must remember dwarf, that it is I who control this winter in Narnia. I control the ice, snow, wind, and chill. Who is Queen of all Narnia?"
She then put her hands around his neck and lifted him up in the air. The chill of her hands felt like ice. She held him tightly trying to cut of his breath. "I will make a way....and don't you ever stop this sled unless I command you. Do you understand?"_________________ <center>

Sery looked back again, the witch now tiny in her line of sight, but something was changing.....she could feel bone-chilling cold cover the river....a thick mist flowed over it, the witch was oviously thickening the ice..... and she now knew they must get to the table....less than an hour, Sery urged kiak "come sweetheard" tired as she was, she threw a warming charm towards the river...she saw the thick mist grow yellowish, a homely golden color and then thin and dissapear altoghether, she had bought them a bit more time, but was it enough?
"half an hour to go i shouldnt wonder" she said breathlessly to clevesna "come now !" she urged kiak again...

The dwarf's face grew a pale blue, as if the Witch had transferred some of her coldness into his body just by touching him.
His feet dangled in the air, but the soon started to kick as he felt the passage of fresh air suddenly begin to squeeze shut.
"Y-e-..." He tried to talk, but found that he couldn't, so he blankly nodded his head.

Clevesna nodded at Ceri's question about how long. All there was left was a small stretch of forest, and a dash up a hill, and at the top of the hill, the stone table. With the anticipation, Clevesna made her legs go faster, and faster. She didn't even know she had the strength to go so fast...

The witch released her grip of the dwarf...sending him tumbling 7 feet down onto the sled.....for you must remeber, the witch was extremely tall.
She then sat back down gracefully, leaned back into her chair and then said, "Now that that's settled, let's continue on." She crossed one leg over the other.

The dwarf made a squeeking noise as he fell from the air onto the sled in a loud crash. His hat nearly fell off his head as his neck violently jerked in the landing process.
He huffed and puffed for about two minutes, as he wiggled his toes, making sure he wasn't paralyzed from that fall he had just gone through.
He stared up at the sky, catching his breath and holding his bearded chest.

Mornie found it hard to breathe as kiak sped uphill with her she was scared of blacking out....the table was right ahead and so was aslan's camp, but she didnt know that.....she kept going looking sideways at clevesna

Jadis leaned forward looking down at the dwarf, who was still on the floor, and said, "I SAID let's MOVE along." This statement was a command from the witch....for her eyes grew large and her eyebrows frowned. She held the wand in one hand and tapped it impatiently into the palm of her other hand.
