Will stared in horror. He thanked the moonlight for clouding his expression. He kept a straight, blank face, but he was scared that some of the panic would break through. When Lyra made Will's introduction, he scowled, ever so slightly. Then he tried to smile, but he had a feeling that it wasn't working.

Pan turned in to an ermine and nudged Lyra's hand. "He en't happy." He said to her, meaning Will.
"What's up?" Lyra asked him while the others talked among themselves.

Will made a face. "I don't trust that "Amber" girl. She looks... suspicious. Almost guilty of something. I don't know. And... you know, I just don't like these kinds of situations." He smiled a little. "It's ok. Don't worry."

Lyra looked at her friend's worried face and got up, "We'll be back in a minute." She said and she and Will took the lamp and sat about six foot away from the others. She took out the Aletiometer and turned the dials, she turned the hands to the sun for truth, serpent for evil and the baby for future and asked it a question.
"Is Amber good or evil?"
The Alethiometer replied, "She has done bad and good."
Lyra told Will what it said and turned the dials again, asking the same question as before but about the strangers.
"They have done wrong but they are honest."
Lyra considered this and told Will, it seemed that none of the people there were utterly reliable but somehow Lyra felt safe.
"What do you think?" She asked him.

Amber stepped towards the others and climbed skillfully onto the roof witht eh others. Her sticky hands glowing red in the moonlight, the gun shining brightly.

"Hmmm. All I can say is that it's being extremely irritating." Will grinned slightly. Being serious again, he said, "All we can do is trust it. I don't like it, but for now, I think maybe we shouldn't trust them entirel-"

Will's voice was cut off by panic. He saw a gun glint in Amber's hand as she approached swiftly. He nudged Lyra.

"What do you want from us?" Will said shakily to Amber, but in a clear, strong and almost intimidating voice.

Her cheeks blushed. "I want revenge against the people who ruined my life." she spoke viciously. "But Lyra is a friend. so you must be too."
Amber held out her hand, "I'm not here to hurt anyone!"

Hailey shivered, and when she heard Lyra's introduction about her, nodded. Slowly she got up on the roof, and sat on the edge, legs dangling off. Hailey pulled her knees to her chin. She was a bit too cold to care that the others were hinting that a few didn't trust the rest.
"Lyra chose some of us.." Hailey glanced at the two that had just appeared, ".. yet doesn't trust us," she mumbled under her breathe, witch she could see a little...

Rosmary padded softly throught the building and came to the open door of the office, cluting her dagger in one gloved hand she survyed the room, after about 10 minets she was satisfied she was alone, and crept over to the man. She looked down unpitingly at the copse nd sudied him minutely. There was no doubt this was a Darklight job, and since she and the killer were the only Darklight members left in exsitance, her prey was not far off.
