Portia sat on the railing of the Silver Rose. Jack's temporary ship, until he found Devina and the Pearl again. She sighed deeply and watched the waves crash under her. Her and Jack haven't been friendly lately and it made her sick. She held onto the railing tightly, so that she wouldn't fall off and into the water. It reminded her too much of what happened a few months ago.

Meanwhile, Jack was on the opposite side of the ship, near the starboard to be exact. He was frustrated and angry at the moment. One because he had lost all his honor of being Jack Sparrow when he lost his dreads and facial hair, two his beloved Black Pearl had been stolen away from him.
He grumbled and rested his elbows at the edge of the ship, over looking nothing but the big blue ocean below.

Portia looked over the ocean and then threw her legs over the railing and placed her feet on the wooden floor. She looked to Jack, took a deep breath and slowly walked over to him. She stood beside him and watched him for a few moments.
"Would ye like somethin' ta eat, mate?"

Jack feeling depressed sighed and rolled his eyes at Portia, "No...I'm good without anythin' for the rest of my bloody life..." Here he walked away from Portia and disappeared beneath deck.

Portia sighed and angrily slammed her fist on the railing. She rested her hands on her hips and looked down to the ground. "I can't bloody believe this..." She went after Jack and grabbed his arm. "WHY ARE YE BLAMING ME FER EVERYTHIN'?! I NE'ER DID ANYTHING!" She yelled and clearly looked upset.

Jack yanked his arm away and gave her a good push away from him. "YE BLOODY DID!..." He stares at her face for a moment or two, then he swallows, "...forgive me Portia, but I can't stand it much longer..." Here he brushes past her and disappears into the lower decks, locking the door behind him, he pulled out his pistol and cocked it.

Portia swallowed hard and slowly recovered from the shock. She quickly looked at the door Jack went through. She ran to it and started slamming her fists into it. "JACK, PLEASE! I NEED YE!" She yelled to him and started crying. "I... I LOVE YE!" She yelled again and closed her eyes, sadly.

"...it's too bloody late..." He held the pistol to his head and started backing away from the door.
Suddenly a loud shot rattled through the lower decks and a thump could be heard.

Portia's eyes widened and she screamed. "JACK!" She screamed his name and backed away from the door. She wrapped her arms around herself and cried hysterically. "Oh, god..." She cried and fell to the floor. She covered her face with her hands and cried harder into them.

Now, this has not been known to Portia yet, but what did happen is this.
As Jack had backed away from the door, his bloody boot got wrapped around a mass of ropes, sending him to the ground, he pulled the trigger, but his hand had been tossed to one side, missing his head, as he crashed onto the ground.
There Jack lay motionless on the ground, with a pool of blood pouring onto the wood, for as he fell he hit his head on a cannon, then the rest of his limp body slumped to the ground in a loud thump.
The scene was horrific though, one might have believed Jack had done it, for the pistol was still in his hand.

Portia was shaking violently. She couldn't go in and see him. It would be too hard. She slowly stood up and walked into Jack's bedroom. She looked around and cried a little more. She couldn't believe that he had committed suicide. She leaned against the wall and then looked back to the door that Jack was behind. She bit her lip hard and walked toward it.
She took a step back, kicked it hard and it flew open. She saw Jack laying on the floor and she saw blood all around Jack. She cried a little more and slowly neared him. She looked down to him and gasped. He hadn't shot himself!!!
She quickly kneeled beside him and took the pistol out of his hand. "God, Jack..." She whispered and shook him, to wake him up.

Jack's body laid motionless, his face grew pale, and a sad sense of his soul gone forever filled the room.

Portia bit her lip and grabbed his arms. She dragged him to his room and struggled to put him on his bed.
She ripped part of her shirt sleeve and wrapped it around Jack's head and on his wound. "Ye will be okay, Jack... ye 'ave ta be." She whispered.
She sighed and looked at him. She got Jack's rum and poured it into a glass. "Jack? Jack, please wake up." She put the rum under his nose for him to smell.
