Harry waved good-bye to Hermione and Ron as they went off to do their prefect suties. "Do you want to head up to the common room?" Harry asked Shade.

Harry followed all of the students up to the Gryffindor Common Room. Once they reached the portait of the Fat Lady, he heard Hermione explaining how to get in. Ron stood by, rolling his eyes. Hermione told them the password which was "butterbeer" and led them in. Harry waited until most of the people were inside, then followed the last few in.
"Hey Harry!" He saw Ginny Weasley with some of her fourth year friends.
"Hey Ginny." Harry replied. "How are you?"
"I'm doing just fine." Ginny said with a smile. "Hi," she said to Shade.

Hermione sighed and walked over to Harry, Shade, and, now, Ginny.
"Oh, hello Ginny!" Hermione grinned.
"Hi." Ginny smiled, "Well, I best be off."
Ginny waved and with a flick of her red hair she turned and went away with her friends.

"I sure am." Ron replied, plopping down in an arm chair next to the fireplace. "Being a prefect is not all that great you know."

Shade smiled at Ginny. "Hello." Then, he nodded in greeting again to Ron and Hermione. "It must be a job." He said and Ron nodded, barely moving from his postition by the fireplace.

Harry laughed really hard, clutching his gut. When he was finally calm again, he looked over at Ron who was glaring at him. "Well it was funny." He said. "And true."
