She watched as the two girls disapeared into the far woods, then turned to look at Kithsytha, "my father would say that i have bad judgement for allowing then to see the hurd, but I think I did what was right. We may be able to rekindle the long ago friendship this way. What do you think?" She asked now uncertain of herself.

Meriana caught up with Maddie. "we better run mamma and daddy are gonna be mad."

meanwile: the sister's mother was waiting up axiously. the girls were only sapoused be gone an hour. Their mother stood at the window watch for both the girls and her husband. her husband (they leader of the town) went looking for the girls.

Meriana and Maddie had been trying to find there way in the woods for another 30 mins before they reached the eage of the woods for their home. they saw the lights still on in the house and wagon gone. Maddie looked at meriana worried. "were in big trouble." maddie said walking slowly to the door. Meriana sighed. "i'll take the blame"
Maddie smiled. "well everything we do it's normaly your idea...so i'm ok with that." she said smugly
Meriana rolled her eyes oviously. just as they were turning the door handle they saw their father come up. he jumped out of the wagon and embraced them both. he walked them inside. he smiled at at his wife then saw her scared, angry, sad, look and frowned. "uh...honey...their back..."
"i can very well see that!" she said crossing her arms, oviously upset.

Meriana and Maddie looked at each other a little frightend.

"come here girls." said their mother.

they both shared glances again. their father nuged them forward. "meriana blurted out. " this was all my idea, maddie had nothin to do with it."
Their mother raised an eyebrow. " Meriana faith jonstan! how dare you leave home tell me that your gonna be back an hour later and then not come home until after sunset!!!!!!" their mother said angered. "i-i'm sorry....." they both said.
"Maddie you can go to your room! now!" their mother said. Maddie ran to her room. she looked back at Meriana.

"sit..." said her mother. her tone slightly harsh.
Meriana sat in a little chair. her mother and father sat on a couch.
"i never, ever! want you going into those woods again. do you understand?!"
"darling" said meriana's father "there young...let them explore."
mother looked apaled. " in the woods that you say strange creatures live in! no this time i'm getting my way." she turned back to Meriana. "you will not go back in those woods ever again young lady. or mark my words, you will be lashed ten times!"
Meriana shuddered. "yes momma."
"now go to your room!" said her mother.
her father sighed.
Meriana ran to her room in tears.
"dear you didn't have to be so harsh." meriana heard her father say before she shut her bedroom door.
