Vertha heaved the last demon into the bonfire with an air of disgust. Jorsli, who had been hiding in her sleeve during the entire fight, poked her head out and flicked her tongue out. "Yes, my dear," Vertha whispered to her, stroking her head fondly. "Quite a mess we got ourselves into, eh?" Jorsli hissed in response. Vertha used the closest thing to a spade she could find which was a really odd foreigner's polearm and began to dig a hole deep enough to contain the fallen.

I was cured all right.

Arwyn knotted an arrow into her bow, setting its point at an approaching demon. With that she quickly released the weapon, smiting the demon in the chest. "You will go no farther!" she cried at the approaching wave as she fired another arrow upon the enemy.

Arruina shook her head at Aryion.
"I can only heal a little on the inside, and only to the point of a fresh scar on the outside. I've met more powerful healers than me," she said, sorting the bodies. She kneeled down, placed her hand on his chest, and said something about each of her fallen comrades. One had a small axe, and this she took as her own and used it to help dig a whole. Eventually they had a whole large enough for each of the deceased...

Aaron watched as the demons didn't stop but came closer. There were only about ten of them. Soon they reached Arwyn and Aaron and their companions. Aaron first stabbed the first demon in the gut, and taking out his poisoned sword, turned and slashed another across the chest. It fell to the ground in pain, doomed to die within minutes as the dark poison went through it's veins.

Saradh leapt up onto a demon and knocked it to the ground. In a struggle, the white tiger finally bit the demon's throat, killing it, and then pounced on the next...

Arwyn quickly drew her long twin daggers, gritting her teeth in anger. Plunging one blade in the chest of one demon, she parried the stroke of a second. With a growl, Vehrion leapt upon a demon, pinning the creature beneath his weight as he locked his jaws around the monster's throat-killing it instantly.

"I will not allow you to cause any more suffering," the mortal woman growled at the creature whom she locked her blades with. With that she disentangled their swords and swiftly slit the demon's throat, ignoring the dark blood that splattered upon her as she turned to face another creature.

"It's not as interesting as other powers I behold," she said, as they finally covered the last body with dirt. The axe that she had taken from one of the fallen she placed in the ground, handle stuck in the dirt, the blades stinking out like a tomb stone.
"Now, for horses, theres a lookout post not far from here, which was where I was headed in the first place. There they always have fresh horses."

Aaron and Saradh battled by Arwyn and Vehrion. Soon the four slayed the small group of demons. Aaron cleaned his sword with his cloak, then sheathed it.
"There, that takes care of that."

"Sure," Vertha said cheerfully, knowing full well that this would make Larkus seriously mad. She favoured more open relationships with the other races while Larkus was as xenophobic as anyone could get. "I don't think our friend here would mind."

"It certainly does," Arwyn replied with a slight smile. Wiping her daggers, she also quickly sheathed the weapons as Vehiron came to stand at her side and Thalion hovered over head. "So where are you and Saradh traveling to now?" she asked Aaron.

Aaron shrugged.
"No place in particular. I'm trying to become a stronger wizard, but that takes practice. And practice comes withe beating up demons. If only I wasn't so tired," he said, leaning back on Saradh, who was right beside him loyaly.
"Oh, where'd the hobbit go? She said something about a brother that might be in trouble..."

Arruina nodded.
"Then the look out post is this way. Not far, only about half a mile," she said, grinning wide enough to show Larkus her slightly pointed teeth, then turned toward the tower, her grin fading. And, Garon will be there, hopefully. Maybe he can tell me if this crystal thing is what I think it is, she though.

Vertha nodded and called to Larkus, "Larkus, we're going to the lookout post a half a mile from here. They're going to get some horses and then we'll go see Father. Sounds good? Good." She mounted the horse that Larkus had supplied for her and waited for her party.

(Talk about letting oneself get behind..worming my way back in, hope that's ok.)

Where there's smoke, there's fire. Warily watching the plumes of smoke that rose in lazy spirals above the trees, Silvhren put her drawn arrow and bow away in her quiver. Now curious - partially because of the previous sounds of battle and the screams of dying demons - Silvhren started off in the direction of this smoke, being sure to move through the trees much like a ghost - silent and unseen. It took all of 2.75 minutes to reach the vicinity of the fire..and the telltale mound of a burial site marred the ground. Brow furrowing, she studied this for all of ten seconds..then noticed others in the clearing and froze in plain sight. Just what she needed..
