Yet another....West Park Stables is located in California. It's a very popular show stables, with horses coming in and out frequently. There aren't any lessons, so you pretty much jump by yourself. There are two indoor arenas, one for flat and the other for jumping. The jumping indoor is mostly for stadium jumping practice. There is an outdoor arena for jumping, for lower practice. There is also another flat arena with two practice jumps inside it. We host several shows here, and they take place in the indoor jumping arena.

Leanne walked Starlight around the arena. Outside was perfect, warm and cloudy. She smiled and asked Starlight for the canter. She circled ad headed to the first jump, a small vertical.
"Up," Leanne said quietly, closing her hip angle. She felt Starlight thrust underneath and lowered her chest to Starlight's crest. Her back was arched, and her eyes watched between Starlight's ears.
"Good girl!" Leanne praised as they landed.
There was something different..It wasn't just horse and rider between them. Leanne knew by the way Starlight acted that there was something more. They had a good relationship.

Leanne let Starlight walk for a while and then headed towards the indoor jumping arena. The jumps were set low, which was rare, but Leanne decided to take advantage of it. She cantered and headed for a 2'6 oxer. Starlight gathered herself and plunged easily into the air. Leanne realeased the reins and pressed her calves. Starlight's ears flipped back as she landed and raced for the next jump.
Leanne checked Starlight to rebalance her and they headed to the upright. Starlight was in too deep and thrusted too hard. Leanne jolted forward but grasped Starlight's long mane so she didn't catch Starlight's mouth.
"Easy girl!" Leanne steadied the mare and straightened her out. Starlight's stride became choppy and unbalanced. Leanne circled out and Starlight proceeded to her natural, floaty gait. She lowered her head and headed to the next jumps, a one stride combination. The first was a vertical and the second was a small oxer. Leanne relaxed her seat and counted her strides.
"1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4." Leanne said quietly. The warm air rushed her face and Starlight began to jump.
"Perfect!" Leanne exclaimed, noticing the spot she had gotten. She sat up and checked Starlight before the oxer. Starlight got the right spot again and arched over it.
"Good girl, Starlight!" Leanne exclaimed and trotted toward the gate.

Annalett Patterson drove a navy blue ford pickup to West Park Stables. Her twin brother sat in the seat next to her, being a grouch because he had lost the rock-paper-sissers game to drive. When they arrived, Cody went to the horse trailer that the truck was pulling, and Annalett went to see if the stalls that the owner had said they could use when they came last time.
Annalett made sure the stalls were ready for the horses, then went to help Cody with the horses. Cody was already leading out his horse, Star.
Annalett unloaded her paint mare, Kiss. Cody put Star in his stall, but Annalett tacked Kiss with the english saddle, briddle, and martigale...

Andie pulled up in her red F-150. She parked in the West Park Stables parking lot and got out. She waved at a few people and then went to go put her keys and soda in her locker. Andie grabbed her purple halter, Curly's, and went to go get out her horse. Curly walked beside her happy to get out.
Andie quickly tacked him up in a kimberwick and her Bates english saddle. She grabbed her IRH helmet and put it on. She mounted Curly and walked him over to the jumping arena. Leanne was already in there, but was leaving.
"Hey" she said.
Andie warmed up Curly and headed towards a cross pole combo nation. Curly jumped them easily. Andie did the combo twice more and then headed toward bigger stuff. Curly cleared them easily.

Leanne untacked Starlight and groomed her. She put her back in her stall and went to get her other horse, Remington. She led the huge grey horse out of his stall and put him in the cross-ties. She groomed him and put jumping boots on him, along with all of his other tack. Her helmet was still on, so she mounted and walked to the indoor jumping arena. She waved when she saw Andie jumping.

"Can I set the jumps a little higher, Andie?" Leanne asked.

"Yeah, go ahead." Andie said. She pointed Curly toward a higher oxer and he soared over it. Andie leaned low on his neck. Releasing his head up so he wouldn't be unbalanced. He landed and Andie lowered herself back into the seat of her saddle.

Annalett went to the outdoor jumping arena. She had jumped the low vertical perfectly, now was headed to an oxer that was a little bit higher.
"1,2,3,1,2,3, up" she counted out the strides, then went into two point just before the jump, but was a little late because as they landed, Kiss's back legs knocked over a bar. The young mare spooked a little at the pang of the bar landing.
"Whoah, Kiss. It's alright, theres nothing to spook about..." she cooed to her horse...
((just so you know, Annalett isn't wereing a helmet... maybe one of you could meet her by saying that she should have a helmet(shes new to the stable, her and her twin)))

Leanne saw a girl jumping without a helmet and shook her head to herself. "She could get really hurt," Leanne whispered to Remi. A four foot vertical loomed in front of them. Leanne cantered in a circle and headed around the arena again. She straightened Remi out and boxed him in for the four foor jump. She felt Remi gather himself at the last stride and plunge into the air. She smiled and released his head, letting him bring her up into twopoint. They landed and Leanne sat up, stroking his neck as they cantered. Leanne asked him for a lead change, and they headed towards a 3'9 oxer. Remi cantered lazily towards it and effortlessly jumped it.
"I don't know how it comes so easy for you, Bud." Leanne laughed and patted Remi's neck.

Cody luaphed at her sister, though he didn't know why, but he did. Annalett wriggled her nose and stuck her toung out at him.
"You've never worn a helmet either!" she said to him.
"Well, I don't ride as much as you, and I'm a better rider than you, and my horse isn't as frisky as yours!"
"You are not a beter rider than I am!"
"Are too!"

"Fine!" Cody stomped off to his horse's stall, and tacked Star in jumping tack. Before mounting, he ran to their truck and brought out his bike helmet(he always has his bike in the truck). Entering the arena, he mounted...
