Name: Sebastian.

Age: 288 yrs.

Sex: Male.

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual.

Parents: N/A.

Siblings: N/A.

Race: Vampire.

History: Born in 1718, Sebastian grew up in a well forgotten town of Wales. Parents being of "country" nobility, they bought him the best education a Catholic school could provide. A procession of short years slipped by before the young boy was kicked out of the school for coming to class drunk on several occassions--three times to be exact. Because of his young rancor against his father, he deviated from everything expected in his life, consumed with trying to find a new way to displease him. He found the ultimate way when he discovered the liquor hiding in his father's library.
As punishment, Sebastian was forced to live within the walls of the family manor and to stay inside. His mother continued his teaching from the age of twelve to sixteen. In 1734, Sebastian's father died, leaving a great fortune for his only son.
Of course by time, the frivolous anger he had against his father thinned out. And it wasn't because of the money. Four years of having been locked indoors from the outside world had left Sebastian quite malnourished when it came to social charm, and he found it hard to be around people. He was quiet and for the most part withdrawn.
Despite it all, he discovered a great love for theater. Sebastian travelled often alone to places like London and Paris to view great plays and musicals. What became of his mother was unknown. She was a recluse herself, rarely ever leaving the manor unless it was for mass.
That was another thing...Regardless of having lived in a religious home, Sebastian never really called himself a Catholic. In those years, when philosophy and science were being launched into culture, he found himself too distracted for religion.
How he became a vampire, it is uncertain. He was spending limitless amounts of money on lavish carriages and the best breed of horses to take him to the next show; very obviously trying to avoid his pious mother and home. It could have been possible that he died anywhere between England and France.

Personality: He has a rather pitiful demeanor, loathing the very idea of what he is, yet somewhat cowardly towards the idea of extinguishing himself from the face of the earth entirely. He despises the beauty given to him, the false sense of perfection, and has been prone to self-mutilation.

Appearance: Large brown eyes lidded with dark long lashes, of a slightly wan complexion, high cheek bones and carved lips. He has not quite shoulder length curls of mahogany hair, and he stands at about 6'1", tall for the 1700's. Narrow muscled torso.

Other: He is extremely powerful, more powerful perhaps than he thinks he is, his maker being one of the First Brood. Like all vampires, he is gifted with telepathy, enchanting, flying, and massive strength.

There is much left out of this biography--I condensed it to a more amiable size, as I am currently writing his story.

The year is 1865, and Napoleon III is the emporer of France. The era has been blissfully successful in industrialization, and urbanization, including the massive rebuilding of Paris by Baron Haussmann. Fortunately, politics won't be important in this bit. Yet the stir of it all had produced a fine opportunity for Sebastian to re-open the newly refurbished Theatre he purchased twenty years previously. It had undergone extensive and meticulous work, seeing as how much of it was underground. It was a cramped and dilapidated tenement squished between other businesses on a less than lavish street.
While the surface was rebuilt, it was purposefully made to not attract unwanted attention. There stood the doors to a grand yet narrow vestibule, two staircases leading southward into a cavern of crystal chandelliers. Crimson velvet seats displayed in neat rows, while many expensive boxes draped from overhead. A diamond in the rough, you'd think. Or a private club? Tickets were sent freely to selected guests, and purchased only from those who were deemed allowed to enter.
Though he owned it, he was rarely seen. Box number three was his, and his alone, and he communed with employees through enveloped messages, and sometimes directly to one man in private. Jean-Gerrard. A man gifted with charm and the ability to win a crowd of irritated guests. Through him, he carried out business dealings, and things of that nature. What he liked most about Jean-Gerrard, was that money silenced his questions.
And tonight was important, it was one of the rare nights when Sebastian frequened the Theatre, as he saw it was important to attend each opening night. It was a musical...One consisting just ten performers. Hired actors and actresses, musicians, and singers--they were all chosen carefully, as like the guests, and taken care of personally. Sebastian, in some detached form or another, saw to it that they were healthy, happy, and ready to perform. The performance was everything..It was too imprtant, to special to be allowed spoiled by a drunken or depressed actor. And being one for details, Sebastian could skillfully detect a malfunction...and skillfully remedy it.

After the Musical, there is to be an after-party hosted by Jean-Gerrard in Sebastian's place..Some of you will be invited, according by your own performance while in the theatre..based on Sebastian's taste. He'll be watching you..the audience..while you watch the stage. For those of you who aren't invited..don't be discouraged. A meeting with Sebastian will ensue, though to say if it is malevolent or not..is a mystery. Nevertheless, each party shall be interesting.
All are welcome to join this role-play, yet there are rules. Absolutely no god-modding. Other vampires are welcome, yet let it be known that they are in Sebastian's territory..and must play by his rules. You cannot make a post that is less than seven sentences...I encourage your best writing in order for this to be a smooth roleplay. And please..no OOC. ..Let the fun begin, eh?

[You're all welcome to join, but I must ask that none of you be performers in this Theatre. The history of it must be in my control, for one, and for two, I need you all to be the audience. I'm sorry. ): And I'll also stress that everyone try to use correct punctuation and spelling to the best of their knowledge. Anyway. I know we all hate rules...I'm a ridiculous perfectionist, but I'm glad you all wanted to join. I'll make the first post and we can begin. If you have questions or would like advice, brego145 and Lady Raelyn, please pm me and I'll gladly help/guide you in the right direction. I don't want to push anyone out of this rp. I'll make the first post and you can follow suit. More are still welcome!!]

Depthless brown eyes scanned the simple parchment held in his porcelain hands, reading the spidery red ink that was of Jean-Gerrard's hand. Most of it was unimportant nonsense that Sebastian did not care to read, so he skipped ahead to the important part.

'All the invitations have been sent out and most have replied with likewise note that they shall be attending the opening. Formal invitations to the masquerade afterwords have been filled out, and are awaiting names. All is in order.'

Clearing his throat, Sebastian crumpled the paper in his hand, tossing it carelessly into the smoldering fire that illuminated the round room that was his office of sorts. The edges of the note turned black and curled inwards, thin veins of red following suit before the parchment consumed into yellow flame. He stood there as a tall lean figure drenched in shadow, silhouetted by the light of the fireplace, lost in thought.

The Musical, to which he blanked the name, was to begin in less than twenty minutes, yet he could already hear guests pouring down into the cavernous theatre from outside his door. Then again, he could hear pretty much anything he wanted to, couldn't he? For he wasn't just a mere mortal. He canted his head curiously to one side, nebulous orbs coming to a subtle close as his preternatural senses listened intently.

Mingled thoughts and whispered words.. Gossip between the aristocracy, and soft laughter. Nothing important. Every single person that entered the theatre had been sent a crimson envelope sealed with the scorpion ensignia in black wax. The theatre's seal. Inside, a simple invitation. They knew nothing of the masquerade that was to follow after...for only he and Jean-Gerrard knew. A line of elaborate black carriages awaited in the alley at the end of the street, cleverly hidden amongst the lower class filthy atmosphere they contrasted so starkly with.

Minutes passed, and the fire had dimmed to naught but embers and smoke, closing the room in total darkness now. Sebastian slipped on his fine black gloves that matched his suit, taking his top hat before walking out into the narrow hall that would lead him to his box. Box number three...empty, and drenched in shadow. He took his seat in the singular red velvet chair off to the corner, leaving the binoculours abandoned on the luxury side table.

Turning his attention to the audience below, Sebastian watched stone silently as the members filed in quietly. All dressed for their best. Checking his pocket watch, he noted it was ten 'till seven. The Musical would only be one half hour long..but the real festivities were to begin after..

His pale rosebud lips carved into a grim smirk at this thought, and he reclined back..waiting.

Tristan arrived with only ten minits to spare; late as society required. Of course if he'd not had a personal intrest in the Musical then he'd had arrived some time dureing the interval. He made his way slowly through the auitorium; greeting freinds and aquantices as he went.

He was dressed in a black suit, with a light blue silk cravat; a buxom girl hung unto his arm, respelndant in a white dress and hothouse flowers in her black curls. Her name was unimportant; she was just another buetiful woman assosiated with him.

Tristan finally took his place in and made light conversation with his naibours, waiting for the show to commence.

Rachel took her seat towards the middle of the theatre. She fiddled with her dress, the dress had been an old friends who had no need for it, the shoes were a pair of white flats that she had gotten a good bargin early that day. It was the last of the money that she had earned at another theatre a few weeks before. She looked around at the in coming guest. She faced the stage trying to take in as much detail as she could. She started to enjoy the senary and started to relax. First her back then the rest of her body. The curtains were pushed back, Let the play began She thought.

((sure sure, everyone knows Tristan, but you can be a freind sure))

Tristan let his arm circle around the girls shoulders. Lets see what the reclusive Sebastien has for us tonight then... he smiled to himself. His eyes alighted on a girl a few rows away. Poor by the looks of things, but that never botherd him, every contact was a contact made.

[ Ah.. I wasn't going to have the musical begin until everyone had made their first post. Then I was going to close the rp. Perhaps we could all wait a few minutes. Settle in.. gossip or something? It's only fair we wait, I think.]
