I think I'd like to take either Aragorn or Eomer.... what do you think, Ellie? do you have a preference (considering my rp style, etc)?

Thanks. Just a quick question, though. I looked up Bewdyr on Wikipedia, and is it too that he only has one hand? Just making sure....

Okay. Then I will do it that way, since that is what it said in history.

Ellie, dear, why did you tell me about the RPG early if you weren't going to reserve a spot for me? I told you who I wanted, unless your MSN was cutting out at the time...
Anywho, according to Melda, I should play Mordred (even though he's not on the list). And if no one else takes him, I may attempt Gamling. Would that be okay?

Yes, yes, I know, there are no women in the Gondor milita as I remember.
Name: Aermorian
Age:36
Personality: A bit thick, but intelligent enough to be a captain. Quiet, slightly reserved.
Description:Dark hazel eyes and dark brown hair. About 5'9, with a muscular build. Wears the traditional armour of a Gondorian Citadel Guard.

Gareth quickly leaped off the rowboat and onto the sandy beach. It felt good to be back on dry land after the sea, although it took a second for Gareth's legs to steady, accustomed as they were to the pitching motion of the ship.
Standing, he carefully surveyed the landing site. The cove was almost entirely small shingle, rising to rocky outcroppings at the headlands. A meadow ran for perhaps fifty paces between the shingle and the treeline, through which a fast stream ran.
Tactically the bay would be almost perfect for a temporary staging point, if this new land was all he had heard. With blue skies and the gentle crash of the breakers, it seemed idyllic.
Still one could not always rely on first impressions. Turning, Gareth called to the men-at-arms still awkwardly clambering from the minute vessel.
"One of you return to the ship. Tell them to begin disembarkation with all speed. Also, flag messages to the King and my brothers, for i believe it is safe enough to land."

Hopefully thats coherant. Far too much Gin-n-Tonic tonight......

Bedwyr, one of Arthur's other companions, stood at the ships helm, looking over at the horizon, his lame arm tucked into his tunic and his other grasped onto the rail tightly. He looked over at Merlin and Guinevere conversing, and wondered what they where speaking of. He decided against, however, going to interrupt. It was not wise to interrupt the Wizard and the Great Lady once they were speaking.

Meanwhile, the Captain of Gondor, Faramir walked along the riverside and going behind a waterfall, entering a secret enterance to an Ranger Hideout. He sighed heavily and then at the site of his Rangers, grinned and nodded his head.
"Lord Aragorn is pleased that we found out this news, my brave Rangers." He said simply, as a greeting. And then he turned to more serious matters. "But that does not mean he is pleased."

Guinevere was already nodding. "Yes. Quite sure." Her gaze strayed to Arthur, standing eagerly where he was by the railing. She looked on the verge of continuing, but knights were alighting on the beach and, with a glance back at Merlin, she went to stand at Arthur's side.
His excitement was palpable - it always was. The King of All Britain was almost boyish in his enthusiasm for such ventures as this. It made Guinevere grin; all the more so since she ached to catch him alone, just for a moment, and tell what she was almost sure was now true. The news was tinged with anxiety; she'd lost her first baby, miscarried after two months of incandescent happiness and despair thereafter, however Arthur assured her that kingship was not hereditary under his reign and he therefore was content with no child. "You should go on shore," she teased lightly. "Else I think you may expire due to excitement."
[bringing Agrivaine in later]

(Hey hey... look what the cat drug in! Btw, Ellie, how many years after ROTK is this? ... mmm, skirmish. *between* Faramir and rangers??? who is fighting who?)
Aragorn, King of Gondor and Heir of Isildur, ran a large hand through his hair. Looking at the large map tacked to the right-hand wall, he contemplated it, then scribbled a quick note, sealed it, and handed it to the waiting courier. The contents were direct and clear regarding the Rhunic intruders, without the impediments of courtesy or formal address.
Capture and hold for questioning; bring to Osgiliath. Keep fatalities low. Proceed with all caution and haste; beware ambush.
Elessar, King etc.
The courier left the room with quick steps; the message would be in Ithilien shortly. Beckoning to a page, Aragorn picked up a quill. "Send in the Captain of the Citadel guard, if you could." The page, too, left about his business, leaving the king in the very unroyal position of the center of mounds of paperwork.

Haha. The Reindeer caught up in all of his homework (after several hours of work) only to discover that his twin was on the computer for vital things (such as writing an article that was due that night for a small magazine) and couldn't be talked off of it. Hence, he must post after noon his time today, when he will rampage through the forums in a glorious posting spree.

Gareth surveyed the cove from high on the exposed headland, slightly slouched in his saddle. His cloak billowed slightly in the freshening breeze, for the post meridiem marched onward. With the additional height, Sir Gareth could observe all the hurried bustle of the beach, and whilst seemingly chaotic, it all seemed to be progressing accordingly.
However, now the area had been deemed safe, Gareth's sense of adventure had set in. Other knights might have been content to merely wait upon their lord, or supervise their men, but Sir Gareth trusted his, and was more impatient to be riding again after so long. With all seemingly in order, a quick scout down the coast would surely not be amiss....
Sir Gareth turned to his men-at-arms, all similarly attired in light chain over leather, baring the Raven crest he took to be his own.
"Men, lets move out."
Quiet thought the order may have been, his men quickly wheeled their steeds, and soon all six were thundering over the headland in a southerly direction.

Right, got Gareth etc. out the way. Thinking when the skirmish comes up, you might be getting some "reinforcement" from these guys. So hurry up and get skirmishin'

Myrddin watched impassively as Gwenhwyvar went to Arthur, the Bear of Britain, but he was smiling inside. If Gwenhwyvar was certain, and if there was no miscarriage, then Britain would gain another mighty asset in Arthur's child; regardless of the child's gender, it would have qualities from Gwenhwyvar and Arthur, and there were few ill characteristics in those two.
He slung his wallet of herbs over his shoulder, then walked to the port side of the ship, where the next boat was about to put off to shore. The men-at-arms waited, though, when they saw that he intended to go as well. He felt a minor tinge of gratitude at that--few people who were not of the Cymri realized that whatever else he could do, walking on water was not one of them.
He tossed his rowan staff into the boat, then carefully descended the ladder. He was not as spry as he used to be, though he was still agile and active enough to surprise many, chiefly those who knew how old he was.
He gestured, and they shoved away from the ship, rowing slowly towards the shore. That troubled him--not the rowing, but the shore. How was it that this land had just now been discovered? He had never heard of it from any of his mother's people, nor had he discerned any signs of it's arrival. It was only through the alertness of Arthur's fleets.
Who lived in this land? How did they play into the destiny of Britain? He frowned, then eased it into a smile when he noticed the looks passing between the rowers--after all, Myrddin Emrys frowning portended nothing good. When one had a reputation of great insight and power, much freedom was lost. He could no longer afford to reveal emotions on his face, because they could be misinterpreted so easily.
"The king wishes to come ashore shortly," Myrddin said to the rowers, "so I deem it best if you return after putting me ashore. It would not be well for him to be left waiting, while rowing him to shore would give you better standing."
If the Bear's eager attitude was any indication, he was only on board the ship to appease those who insisted that the area be secure before being satisfied with his safety.
