Christopher Leonidas Daniels, most often called Leon, sat at his desk a text book open before him. His long hair was pulled back in its usual high ponytail. He frowned as he read over his homework from the night before. For some reason he couldn't seem to concentrate on what he was doing. He pulled his reading glasses off and rubbed his eyes, then stood and waked over to the window. Class would be starting soon, and he would have to return to his seat, but for now he was free to do as he liked. A flury of wispers caught his attetion and he turned to see a group of girls staring like they usually did. He smiled and nodded at them then returned to his seat to try checking over his homework one last time before class started.

Brie sanders was a nervous reck, once again she was at a new school with new people and new boring teachers. her mom and her had moved severel times over the last 3 years. her mom gave her the classic and overheard. " you'll be fine and you'll make friends easily." when her mom was over with that spiel(sp) she got out of the car and walked up the front steps of the school. everyone seemed to be watching her. Brie kept her head down and on her feet. The bell rang. " man...." she said to herself. she was normally late when it came to new schools. none the less she found the front office and they gave her the corect class list and she was off to find her classes alone. the first one wasnt so hard. she looked in the small window on the door and sighed. everyone was already there and in their seats. she took a deep breath and entered the room.

Mr. Royal looked up from his rollcall and smiled. "I take it you are the new student?" He asked then turned to look at the rest of the class. "Everyone ... I have an announcement, this is the new student I told you about." The classroom fell silent. Mr. Royal look back at Brie. "Would you care to introduce yourself?"

Leon looked up from his textbook as the classroom door opened and a girl stepped into the room. So that's the new student ... He watched her discomfort with slight ammusment for a moment before glancing back down at the book on his desk.

Brie stood there and looked at the class. " uh...my name is Brie gonzales..." she said. she looked at Mr. Royal. and then took her seat. Brie really hadnt noticed anything different about this class accept she sat by a really...really....handsom guy. Brie glanced over at him and then kept her head twards her desk. the class went on.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Gonzales. The gentleman next to you is our student body presedent, Leon. He would be more then happy to give you a tour during free period."

Leon looked up at the teacher, then stood turned to face the girl next to him and smiled. "It would be my honor." He bowed then took his seat amongst another flury of wispers and gigles.

Mr. Royal finished the role and began class. First lesson was history, which was followed by math and literature. To Leon the hours draged by and he had to keep reminding himself to pay attention.

Brie blushed as Leon stood and bowed. Brie was almost excited for this tour. it wouldnt be the usual nerdy guy leading her around the school. but the student body president and he was very cute looking. because of all the whispers brie figured she wasnt the only one that thought that.

the hours seemed to drown on. Brie caught herself falling asleep during second period, during 4th her teacher had called her out. she was really embarressed as most people laughed at her...mostly the girls.

By the time lunch and free period came Leon was mentally worn out. He pulled his reading glasses off and left them on his desk. A few girls walked over positioning themselves between him and the new student. "Preseident Leon, we were wondering if you were going to be attending this year's home comming ball."

Leon smiled. "Ladies, I'm afriad I do not yet have the answer to your question. Forgive me ..." He stood and stepped around them. "I do believe that I owe you a tour of the school. Did you bring your lunch, or were you going to buy one from the cafeteria?"

Brie stood up and gathered her books as the girls crowed around Leon she figured she'd have no chance with him. she didnt even know why she was thinking that she wanted a chance she had to foucus on school. before she could take a step twards the door Leon stepped around the girls and caught her attention.

Brie smiled at him. " i brought lunch" she said. she knew all too well to always bring lunch to school. Cafeteria food was not her favorite..

Leon smiled back slightgly amused. "You know ... you can leave you books here, we change teachers, not classrooms." He turned and picked up a small bag. "Would you like to eat first, or have the tour?" He asked. Giving tours was not one of his favorite things to do, and he usually found some excuse to avoid them. However the teacher had caught him without an excuse this time and he had no way of escape.

Brie was shocked. " thats differnt. " she said but smiled and then set her books down. Brie's stomach growled and she hoped no one heard. " i'm starving." she said bluntly. she grabbed a lunch bag out of her bookbag and waited for Leon to lead her.
Brie caught the glowering looks from the girls that surounded him only a moment before.

"This way then." Leon led the way to a small open courtyard where several other students had gathered to have their lunch. "Forgive me, I can't stand the cafeteria and avoid it when I can." He sat dwon in the shade of a large tree. "Please ... sit." He pulled out his lunch and waited.

Brie nodded. " i agree." she said. " this is a beautiful school..it's very different than all my other schools." she said...she felt really nervous and when Brie was nervous she tended to spat out things she didnt mean. " look if you dont want to show me around school. it's okay...i mean i know that people like you dont want to do that..i can find my way around." she said before taking a bite of a soup her mom had made for her..
that was when she realized she said the words. <i> people like you</i> that she shouldnt have...she hoped he didnt take it the wrong way.

Leon smiled wryly. "Well I supose that's true and normally I would have found some excuse to get out of it, unfortunatly I don't have a valid excuse today." He took a few bites of his lunch.

Tamera walked up a stack of paper in her arm. "Excuse me for disturbing your lunch President, but the student councle would like you to look over these." Leon looked up and nodded. "Thank you Tamera, I will look over them and get back to the councle." He took the offered papers and watched as she left. "That is vice president Tamera. I plan and look over everything the student councle wants to do, and she keeps me from drowning in unnecessary paperwork and errands. " He wasn't very hungery so he put his lunch away and began looking over the papers. "When you're finished we can start the tour if you like."

Brie was thankful he didnt seem to take notice to her little slip of words. she relaxed a little. she took another bite. Brie wanted to say something but wasnt sure of what. insted she stayed silent. every once in a while she would admire him again but then shake off the idea of any romance. she was finished within 5 minutes. " i'm done." she said putting away her dishes back into her lunch bag.

Leon looked up from the paper he was reading. "Alright." He gathered the papers and his lunch bag. He stopped back by the classroom so they could put their stuff dwon, then statred the tour. He pointed out the places she would need to know, such as the girls bathroom and locker room, then the gym which doubled as the assymbly hall. "There is realy no point in showing you the track and field since we will be headding there for our next class." He looked up at the top of the main building. "There is still some time left before we have to go, I can show you how to get up to the roof if you like, not that it's a secret or anything." He ran a hand back through his hair pushing his bangs back from his forehead.

Brie smiled and then frowned. " ugh...gym...my worst class." she smiled and then laughed. Brie had a great time walking around the school with Leon. she stayed mostly quiet letting him speak about the school. he seemed like he had done this a million times. when he offered to show her the way to the roof she accepted and followed him.
