Post subject:  The Mystery of the Byrlinton Orphanage
This is a Murder Mystery that takes place in an Orphanage in the 1800's in England. =) I hope you like it.

Background Information

Money has been tight at Byrlinton Orphanage for a while. The children were wearing simple rag-dresses made from curtain drapes. This all changed when one Benedict Silva paid a visit to the worn-down, falling-apart, building. He wrote a check out to Miss Carter, the headmistress of the orphanage. It was quite a fortune that he was giving away. Soon the Orphanage was in pristine shape. There was new furniture, new curtains, and new windows. Even the entire building had been painted over, thanks to Mister Silva’s generous donation. The children had new clothes, new toys and they were all plump-full with the turkey that they had eaten.

In thanks to this generous donor, the headmistress decided to hold a social gathering. The little’uns were dressed in their Sundays best as they said ‘hello’ to numerous people, and ate ice cream. Miss Carter hired the best entertainment for the guests and only those on the list were bid entrée to the room. Soon, everyone, even the bourgeoisie and lower-class men, were enjoying the festivities. It was only natural that Mister Silva attended. And attend he did. Soon he was chatting up a storm with Miss Carter who was overwhelming with thankfulness.

Two hours later - three hours after the ‘party’ had started, a loud bang was heard. As if someone had hit a table. The maid of the orphanage rushed to the headmistress’s office. The office was the last place that she had seen Miss Carter and Mister Silva. The door was thrust open, revealing a bloody mess of two corpses. The corpses were those of one Miss Carter and one Mister Silva. They were on the ground. They had been stabbed to death with a knife of some sort. The weapon that did the killing was no where in sight, and no one had even been close to that room during the gathering.

As the maid tells the crowd in the main room about what terrible incidence occurred, a detective steps forward. He tells everyone to stay calm, and that he shall solve the case and have the murder arrested in no time. So, the building is locked down. No one can leave the building. No one can enter the building. The detective begins his work to solve the crime.

Here is a list of Characters that we need. You can create your own bio and name for them if you wish. You do not need to make a biography for your charcter. You can develop your character as you roleplay and use the secret information I give you to help shape your character. Once you pick your character, I will PM you with special secret information reguarding that character - telling you about him/her and maybe a little hint. One of you will be the murder. The information that you get is special to your character. Each character has special information that I will give you. Every character is important - well... the children are least important.

Unfortunately, we cannot start the roleplay until we at least get the Cook's position filled, at least 1 of the peasants, and at least two of the Bourgeoisie. Oh, and of course, we need a detective.

So, now we need to wait for another person to come along and snag the Detective.

The person who roleplays the Detective cannot double on characters in the roleplay, because then that would kinda make solving the case a lot easier.
