This is an RP loosely based on future events caused by the timeline shift caused by Ambassador Spock.

The year is 2376, one year after the Dominion War. The setting Starfleet Academy, San Fransico. Cadets struggle with life, study and begin preparations to embark on a career within Starfleet.

"Aw hell!" Sonia Reyes ran around her dormitory all the while muttering and swearing under her breath as she dashed around. "Not again" she groaned and stood still and caught her breath. Pulling her hair back tightly she twisted her hair into a long plait and flung on her red jacket that matched her red cadet uniform. Grabbing a small bag from the untidy floor, she slung it over her left shoulder and hurried out the room into the hallowed halls of Starfleet Academy. She quickened her pace as she headed towards her first class of the morning. Sonia entered the room to stares and a deathly glare from her Professor.

"You're late Cadet Reyes" she paused and pursed her lips tightly, "Again"

Sonia looked at her with a sheepish grin. "I'm so sorry Miss T'Val" hoping the meek apology would win some sort of favour with the Vulcan.

"Sit down and pay attention" she said in her typical stoic fashion.

Sonia rushed over to her desk and turned on her computer console. Interspecies Ethics and Protocol. Why did I bother? she thought to herself.

Bubbles looked up as fellow Cadet, Sonia Reyes entered the classroom late. She smiled sadly and turned her attention back to her computer console and to the lesson, Late again...Poor Sonia...

Sonia furrowed her brow as she tried to get back up to speed with the class. She rubbed the bridge of her nose and sighed, as much as she loved learning about other cultures and races the work was difficult and T'Val was a hard taskmaster. Her mind wandered briefly to her friend Dh'Varnn who was no doubt getting harassed in one of his classes elsewhere in the Academy. She knew he'd be irritated by not making it to there usual pre-class Raktajino, so no doubt would be in a foul mood. Even more so for his usual Klingon self. Refocussing her mind, she returned to her studies.

Bubbles was unusually focussed on her classes today, she always seemed to have her thoughts above the clouds and not on the present topic. She did do well in school, but didn't really have any close, close friends......except her 6 brothers. Bubbles tended to take to herself most of the time..staying under the radar, but doing exceptionally well in school. Taking another sigh, the 19 year old, refocussed on her work.

The tall, muscular Klingon male concentrated on the computer screen. Adjusting the sensors and keeping an eye on the output of energy readings. He turned to make his way over to the adjacent console and clashed with another Cadet.
"Watch where you're going" the tall blonde sneered, "Dog breath"

Dh'Varnn growled under his breath at the comment and took every ounce of his will power not to get into a confrontation with the human and continued to the console.
Sonia would be proud he thought to himself. He felt a shove on his left shoulder and again ignored it, walking to his station.

"Yeah, you know better." he sneered at Dh'Varnn, trying desperately to get a rise out of the Klingon. "Just another coward, like the rest of 'em" he smirked at his two friends who flanked him.

Dh'Varnn felt his anger rise and blood boil and in one swift movement had his fellow cadet by the throat and pinned down on a console.
"You will retract that statement" he glared.

"Alright, Alright. Break it up kids!" came the warm Irish brogue of Miles O'Brien. Professor of Engineering. Seperating the two he turned to the blonde. "McArthur, get back to your station. Now!" he emphasised the final word. Ryan McArthur shrugged his shoulders and adjusted his uniform and drew Dh'Varnn a sidelong glance as he went silently back to his station.
"You, outside" he stated to the Klingon and escorted him to outside the lecture hall.

Mitzi was skipping class. Not that she did that much. Okay, she did it a lot, but it never seemed to impact her too much - probably because she made sure to enlist in classes with male teachers. Mitzi was very good with men, as were the rest of the Orion women.

She smiled as she stepped out of her brightly lit room, looking about and twirling a black curl as she did so.

"Which way to go, which way to go?" She asked herself, while absently waving to a group of younger cadets that past her.

Humming a tune the woman made her way through the living halls and towards the classrooms. The change in the two was immediately noticeable after one passed the cafeteria. Happy laughs turned to quieter chuckles, which then gave way to a studious silence that remained constant when class was in session.

She spotted Dh'Varnn parked outside a lecture hall and raised a brow. She was not overly acquainted with him, but she had him in a class. The Klingon she remembered to be temperamental like the rest of his species, but he seemed to try, and that was good enough reason to like him for Mitzi. Feeling loquacious today she sidled up to the man and leaned back on the wall.

"You have combat with me don't you?" She asked, while tilting her head to the side looking for an answer - Mitzi was not one used to waiting.

Dh'Varnn sat on a bench outside his class, silently fuming about the recent incident with Ryan. It wasn't the first time he'd tried to incite trouble with the Klingon and it surely wouldn't be the last. Sonia had asked him not to get into any trouble and he always tried to honour his word that he would not. A cheerful female voice broke his moody silence. He wanted nothing more than to be left alone, but he was compelled to look up towards the voice. He shifted uncomfortably as he noticed the voice came from an Orion female. He couldn't recall her name at first, but recognised her from his advanced hand to hand combat class.
"I believe so." he replied gruffly barely able to look at her and trying not to let her presence affect him.

For human males Orion women are irresistable. For Klingon males it can be much the same although there aggression levels rise and the compulsion to violence becomes even stronger than normal.

Mitzi frowned for a second, both of her brows rising this time. The green skinned female was if anything expressive. This was mainly due to the fact that hardly anyone got on her bad side - well, female humans did not much like her at times. But not all of them were awful. Her friends Colleen and Lauren were just fine, aside from the catfights which remained prevalent between all races of women.

The Klingon appeared to be quite taciturn. Which, of course, peaked her curiosity. Which in turn led the woman to be inclined to pry. Which she did. Shamelessly so, in fact.

Now that she had found an interest she slid down the wall to sit on the floor, stretching her legs out in front of her and crossing one ankle over the other. It was a clear sign that she was not leaving anytime soon, after all her next class was not for over half an hour.

"So...Dh'Varnn - that is your name right," it wasn't really a question, but a statement. A way of opening a new topic.

"Dh'Varnn," she said again, this time more slowly as if it might keep his attention better. "I seem to remember you being very...intent," she said with a cat with the cream smile, "man. Which, begs the question. Why are you out here," she pointed at the ground, "And not in there?" Now she gestured to the classroom, turning her head to look up at the Klingon with an expectant smile.

Dh'Varnn's entire body tensed as Mitzi made herself comfortable on the floor beside him. Looking up at him, grinning broadly and enquiring of his situation. His fists clenched tightly as he began to recall the incident, "There was a" he paused to find the right word, "confrontation with another cadet. Professor O'Brien asked me to remain out here in an effort to calm the tension."

Realising he'd spoken more than he intended, he turned away from her and shifted awkwardly in his seat.

Rosaline Lea-Gregory, for that was her full name turned her slightly so it was turned towards Sonia, making sure, that their Vulcan teacher wouldn't notice. She murmured, "Took you long enough, Why are you always late anyway?"

Sonia stared hard at the flat screen computer console with a furrowed brow, trying to concentrate on the lesson and information she'd missed earlier. She heard a low voice call her name and she turned her head slightly then quickly checked to see where Professor T'Val was. Thankfully with another cadet so she turned back to face Rosaline.
"I am not always late" she pouted. "It's just I've been staying up really late this past week studying for a test. So I guess I'm not sleeping good" she shrugged slightly, embarassed at her tardiness.
