(this is my last post for the night too. I probs shoulda been asleep an hour and a half ago...) The man in the bandanna stood up to leave, placing his money on the table. Falasse quickly walked over to the table and slid the money into her pocket. She forced a smile at the man as he began to walk out. |

Falasse froze in midstep. "No," she said, turning back around slowly to face the man. "Are you offering to let me join yours." A glint of anticipation showed in her eyes. |

"Aye. And any women who want to get away from these pigs." she spat out, looking at all the dirty men. Lairelosse may be the captain of a pirate ship, but her men stayed clean and were respectful. "I am the captain, and I openly invite you. Maybe you could cook for my crew? They are respectful, and we don't have any decent cooks on board.." she said and rubbed the back of her neck. |

"Really?" A smile lit up her face. "I'd love to! Uh, that is, I would be delighted to join your crew, sir." She blushed. Inside, however, she was nearly jumping from joy. A chance to get away from this bar and to see the world. |

Lairelosse grinned behind her bandana. "Get your stuff and follow me." she leaned against the door post and waited. |

Falasse nodded eagerly. "Yes, sir!" She turned and dashed to the bar, exchanging a word with the bar keeper before continuing to a back room. She tossed her few possessions onto the blanket on her cot and tied the sheet at the top. In mere minutes she was walking out of the bar with the man. |

She nodded and led the woman to the ship. Then men gathered on deck and waved, grinning. "Men! This is our new ship mate! Treat her as you would treat me!" she took the woman's arm. "Come to my cabin." once inside, Lairelosse sat down and put her feet up on her desk. "So. What's your name?" |

"Okay." There was a moment of silence. "Where should I put this?" she asked, gesturing to the makeshift bag slung over her shoulder. |

"this way." she led her to another small room to the side of the cabin. "This is your room." there was a small bed, a place to put things, and even a small closet and mirror. |

"Thank you so much!" Falasse was overjoyed. For the past few years, she'd lived in the back room of the bar, which she shared with Calida. All she'd had for furniture was a cot, and most of her possessions had been stored under the bed - including her clothes. She hadn't seen a mirror in more years than she could count on one hand. |

"No problem! Get settled." she turned and went back to her desk and began studying the maps she had marked over. |

As soon as the captain had left the room, Falasse skipped over to the bed and opened her makeshift bag. Taking the 'man's' suggestion, she unfolded her dresses and hung them in the closet. Everything else - which wasn't much - was neatly arranged in the storage space the captain had showed her. |

She smiled. "There's extra clothes I have, should you need any." Lairelosse called as she made more marks on the map. |
