But, what if a new set of friends came together and brought us back the laughter, tears, smiles and frowns that the old crew did? Personality: Emma is as sweet as you can get. She's really friendly, caring and very loyal to her friends. She loves to be around family and those that she holds dear and has a great sense of humor. If you ever get on her bad side or hurt her though, there will definitely be some problems.

History: Emma had grown up in Manhattan and grown to love everything it offered. There was always somewhere good to work, nice people to meet and great schools that she could go to if she ever wanted to go to college. Though she wasn't the school type, she loved to learn new things. Just not the things that colleges had in their curriculum. She is one out of three children and is the youngest. Her older brother Derek works for the New York police department and her older sister Lauren works at a big law firm. Yet, she is stuck being a barista. Her parents visit her all the time at her apartment and help her out as best as they can.

Personality: Kate is a mass of contradictions: Shy and outgoing at the same time, hopelessly romantic and relentlessly sarcastic, old-fashioned and modern all at once. She can be a little bit quirky and is a major nerd, but her friends love her despite her eccentricities.

Relationship Status: Single, as she has just recently broken up with her boyfriend of two years.
History: Kate grew up in small-town Indiana with dreams of becoming an actress, and moved to Manhattan to attend drama school at NYU. There, she moved in with her cousin Emma, and since graduation she has been trying to make it big onstage with little success. Until she makes it, she works in a tiny independently-owned bookstore which is losing money daily. She lives in fear of losing her job, but tries to let that motivate her rather than scare her.

Personality: To describe Ian in a few words: dreamy, chaotic, creative and likeable. Once a subject has got his interest, he puts a lot of time in learning all about it, until he finds something new. He is an easy-going young man, very social and interested in other people, but he doesn't talk about himself easily. He has strong feelings of loyalty and love for his friends, and will do anything to prevent them from getting hurt.
Appearance: Ian is a tall, slender man. He works out regularly, so he is slightly muscled. His hair is dark brown and curly (think Orlando Bloom) and he has bright grey eyes. His outfits are casual: jeans, sneakers, t-shirt and a leather jacket.
Relationship Status: Single
History: Ian was born and bred in Ireland, but spent one year of high school as an exchange student in the USA. After his graduation, he decided to move to New York and continue his study there. Ian is the oldest of six children and keeps contact with his siblings by email and Skype. He visits his parents every summer, since they don't have enough money to travel to New York.
Job: Physiotherapist for children.

Name: Thomas Greaves
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Personality: Thomas can come across as arrogant and haughty, and he isn't ashamed of it. However, he can be nice enough when he wants to, and in rare situations even loyal. Just don't expect him to get sentimental.

Relationship Status: Single. Likely to remain so forever.
History: Grew up in a wealthy English household and received a very high quality education. However, his parents weren't especially loving, and Thomas chose to move to New York just to spite them and their ambitious plans for him. He'd regret the decision, but he's too proud and too stubborn. For now, he's landed a job working for a newspaper to pass the time until he can decide what he wants to do with his life.
(I'll add more into my history once more people join. Since, just like in the original FRIENDS story line, they all knew each other before.)
I changed a few tiny things in the bio, could you change them in the first post as well? Just came up with some extra things today. Can't wait to get started!
I've got a few who need a bit of development, so I'll pick one and rework his bio so it fits the setting.
