If there were ever an hour of heaven, this would be it. Not a sound could be heard in that desolate grove, save for the faint hum of early summer, and the soft trickling of the creek that trailed in and out of trees, those few having been naturally formed into a spacy archway for the water to travel between the tree's legs. It was mystifying.
The earth seemed to be blanketed with sheets of fallen flower petals, all of different color, and of leaves. The cherry blossoms had past their season of bloom, but seemed more beautiful than ever.
A haze had taken over the grounds.. Not like a sticky wet mist, but a odorless condensed smoke, only showing when the sun's rays managed to cascade through the tree's intricate canapy of branches and leaves. And what a sight it was, to look upward at the underbelly of the trees...
It was the perfect place.
Eilwynn had been in a trance it seemed. She was alone in the woods, searching desperately for a place to rest and meditate at her leisure. Her luminant amber optics studied the grove..
' ...Magic..'
All her meaningless thoughts had slipped away, and allowed only one word to enter her mind. It was indeed, magical.
Eilwynn stood within a ray of light, letting the sun's brilliance reflect off her ebony hair and her chalk-white skin, make her glow and radiate that drowzy light, seemingly angelic-like. She fought to keep her mouth closed as her eyes flickered from tree to tree, from petal to petal.. An hour of heaven, indeed..
