Reia nodded and said, "I know." She thought for another moment, then said, "It makes me think that maybe they kidnapped her to get to you."

"That's possible. They are also trying to eliminate people who will stop them. Theed is in shambles because of them and although their leader is in captivity they could still form another attack." Padme shuddered at the thought of more of her people being killed.

Reia nodded, then said, "Do you think that they view Eljaraj as a threat?"

Padme inspected the balcony where the thermal detenator had gone off. "Anyone one of the Jedi Order is a threat to them. Especially one as close to me as Eljaraj."

Reia looked for a second at Obi-Wan, then back at Padme and asked, "Why? I mean, why are the Jedi so much of a threat to them? Because they stand for peace and justice?! It only shows how evil and twisted they are." She walked over to a table and stood there with a knitted brow, staring in deep thought.

Obi-Wan said, "They don't understand the Jedi, therefore they fear us.."

Reia nodded minutely, and stared at one particular spot, looking as though she was trying to figure out something. After a moment she asked, "Obi-Wan....do you ever remember Eljaraj having a metal bracelet?"

"Good," she said, "'Cause there's one right here on the floor."

He looked toward where Reia was looking.

"Right there," she said, pointing to the ground. It was round, dark metal, and about the size of her wrist. Reia bent down and picked it up. "Bandomeer steel...." she wiped her finger on it, then said, "Residue...probably from the smoke from the detonator...." She looked closely. "Clasp is broken....suggesting she might have passed out and hit the ground.....there aren't any recent drag marks or scratches...they probably picked her up to make it silent...." She looked up at them.

Padme stared at it. "If that survived the explosion, a peice of the detenator probaly did too. If we find a piece and give it to an analysis droid they can tell us where it was manufactured. Then we can see who recently ordered a thermal detenator."

"Perhaps you're right, milady.."

Reia nodded and said, "Good idea." She pocketed the bracelet and almost headed toward the door, but then realized that they didn't have the detonator shard yet. "Wait..." she said, then laughed softly and turned around, looking for a metal shard. She walked over near the window and crouched down to look. Suddenly, she thought she heard someone call her, and turned with her hand on the floor. She sucked in air through her teeth and looked at where her hand was. There was a metal shard that looked like it had once been a part of a sphere, and a sharp edge. She looked at her hand - there was a minor cut. "Here you go, guys," she said, handing it over to Padme with her good hand and hiding her cut cleverly with her sleeve. "I think that's a part of the detonator."

Obi-Wan looked at the shard and nodded.

"Let's go, then," she said. She led the way out of Eljaraj's quarters and held the door open for the other two. When they passed, she hung behind and wiped the little bit of blood there was on her hand onto her sleeve, leaving it almost stainless. When they arrived at the Analysis room, she hung behind with Padme until Obi-Wan came out.
