James watched as someone talked to Elizabeth, biting his bottom lip as he knew what she would be saying. Glancing up and other the sandbags, he replaced the weapon in hand with a sniper rifle, taking careful aim at the opponent. He was doing his mind to keep Elizabeth out of his mind, but she was the inspiration he needed.

She was in danger here, and he would feel guilty about her if she was to pass on.

Cordy figured she might as well listen this time, since
there ddidn't seem to be any hope of having a succesful search at the moment.
"I just hope I don't before I get the chance to look." she
thought clutching her jacket.

She made her way to the shore with the other soldiers.
She didn't have a weapon...

Elizabeth looked over to where there was other gun shots, and smiled widely when she saw James shooting. She quickly sat up, and wiped her tears away. "James!!!" She yelled, happily. Now the tears that were once on her face due to sorrow, were now replaced with tears of joy.

She walked towards James slowly, not noticing someone sneak up behind her. It was an opponent. He quickly grabbed her from behind, took her gun, and pointed it at her head. He shouted some commands at James, and cocked the gun, so that it would be ready to shoot her.

"Excuse me," said Cordy hesitantly. "does anyone
know where I can get a weapon?"

"Why don't have one already?" someone yelled at her.

"I-" she wasn't sure how to answer.

James turned and opened his eyes wide, letting go of his gun and raising his hands. His eyes glanced around nervously, biting his bottom lip as he watched Elizabeth. Slowly, he stood, as commanded and waited, unsure what to do.

Evelyn rolled her eyes at the soldier who told her that she didn't have a weapon, and tossed her a handgun before turning back to the fight.

Cordelia looked down at the gun as she heard the normous sounds of cannons and gornades in front of her.
Sighing she got down near a mound of sand to take cover.

Elizabeth closed her eyes, in panic. She whispered to James not to listen to the man that was threatening her. She felt more tears run down her cheek, slowly.

The man looked to the side, seeing some more soldiers from James' side. His eyes widened, as he threw Elizabeth to the ground, and ran off.

Suddenly someone tripped over Cordy's head, pushing her face into the sand. "Ow!" she yelled.
She spun around to see someone turn to her with a dagger in his hand. The way he looked at her, she knew he wasn't on her side of the war. She got up with her gun raised to him. "Don't move!" she commanded him.
"Don't think I wont shoot you! Move to the shore, go!"
The man turned slowly with his hands up, and walked carefully down to the shore. Cordy made sure not to stand to close to him, trusting him to probably try something "clever" and take her gun from her.

James grabbed her quickly and pulled her behind a pile of sandbags, his arms wrapped around her. Tears trickled from his eyes as he hled her lcose to him, whispering "What are you doing here?" he couldn't help but place a soft kiss on her lips, his hand caressing her cheek as his eyes dug deep into her. Oh how he'd missed her... A soft smile spread across his lips as his arms held her close, resting his forehead against hers. Everything around them just seemed to disappear to James, his mind carrying him back to when they'd last been together like this.

Elizabeth cried and smiled when he held her. She caressed his cheek with her hand, gently and looked into his eyes, lovingly.

"I had to find you, James. Everyone kept saying that you... you had died. I had to find out myself!" She kissed his forehead, and then took his hands in hers. "But, here you are!" She laughed a little and held him close.

She felt like it had been centuries, since they had last been like this. And when they touched, all of the noises of war had faded, and all she could hear was the breathing of the two of them.

Evelyn ran to the hospital to help with unloading the supplies. "Hurry, come on!" she said, while ducking a blast. Some of the nurses were frightened to death, but Evelyn was battle-hardened by now and unafraid. She looked outside at the number of casualties. "Smith!" she cried. "Go with Anderson and Watson to bring some of them in here. Get them treated!" They obeyed her, and she continued to lift crates and unpack.
