Maranwe looked around... wondering.. thinking... she was alone- as usual. Amroth was gone, and her daughter was with him.. things were always this way.. she thought, as she went to sit upon the couch. suddenly, there was a knock at the door..
Keniia (pronounced ken-I-uh) tried to restrain herself from pounding on the door again. If there was someone inside they would answer her knock. If she hadn't been so aware of her present situation, she would have called out for someone to open the door. But she didn't, for fear of alerting those who followed her.
Keniia was on the run. The teenage girl couldn't explain the forces that were trying so desperately to bring her into their grasp. She couldn't even explain why they wanted her in the first place.
Almost a year ago, Keniia had been forced to leave her home. Her presence had put her family in far too much danger. Even though it had pained them greatly, she had bid good-bye to her father, mother, and siblings, setting out for the large world in hope of losing her followers.
Apparently, she hadn't lost them yet.
Now they were right behind her. And all she could do was shroud herself in her black cloak and hope that someone would answer the door.
