I'd like to try an SG-1 RPG - because Stargate is awesome!

(This is set in the Season Seven timeframe)
On a routine exploratory mission to P3X-534 (an earth-like planet), SG-12 was attacked and kidnapped as they were returning to the Stargate. Radio transmissions indicated that the attackers were Jaffa, presumably acting under orders from System Lord Ba'al (or one of his minions). In addition, death gliders were present during the attack, indicating that a mother ship was in the vicinity.

The SGC determined that a rescue attempt must be made, before SG-12 could be "persuaded" to reveal too much information about Earth's defenses. Ten minutes after the abduction, SG-1 was in the ready room, kitting out for the rescue mission and discussing their options...

Rules:
Keep it realistic. (Invincible characters are not realistic. Neither is stabbing somebody in the ribs, who then turns around and throws the attacker into a steel door 100 meters away. It just doesn't happen that way. And watch your ages and characteristics - Beautiful, talented, lethal 18 yr-olds don't generally hang around the SGC)
Keep an eye on the time flow
Try to stick together, or at least keep in contact (Roger, over)
If you're playing a character from the series, stay in character

Appearance: Short blonde hair, grey eyes, height: 5'9", standard SGC attire or BDUs and bullet-proof utility vest
Weapons/Skills: Range Weapon: P90 submachine gun; Sidearms: Beretta 92, Zat; Other: hand-to-hand combat, various standard-issue weapons. Over 100 hours clocked in F-16s in the Gulf War, flight experience in XF-302 interceptor. Tends to be workaholic.
Interests: Wormhole physics, motorcycles and lock-picking, though not necessarily in that order
History: She has served in the Pentagon, was previously a flight officer in the Kuwait theater, and has received special training in the F-117/F16. She in an astro-physics genius, holding a Ph.D. in Quantum Mechanics and is a plasma/particle physics expert. She is also an expert on gate technology, having read every bit of information known to exist and has studied the permutations of the gate symbols at length. When the plug was pulled on her gate research project and she was transferred to another base, she continued her research in private. She was able to resume her obsessive work with the gate when the SG-1 team was assembled. Major Carter is single and unattached. She is fiercely loyal to the SGC, and not only brings her extensive scientific knowledge to the program, but also her military training. (thx to www.sg1archive.com for history)

Daniel! Please please please!

name: Daniel Jackson

Homeworld: earth

Human

Apperance. Brown hair. Blue eyes. Not extremely built, but yeah, he's got muscles. Sorta tall. Wears air force stuff, even though he is not in the airforce.

Skills, weapons. Has a hand gun. For some reason The SGC doesn't like to give him P-90s and the like, but he can handle one if it is given to him. He's also a history buff, which helps a lot.

Interests. History. He figured out the stargate in two weeks, even when a team of really smart scientists were still working on it two years. When on abydos he married, but his wife Shar're got goa'ulded and then staff blasted. He is currently single. he Loves languages and can speak many of them fluently. He may seem geeky at times, but we all love him. He tends to speack really fast, and use hand motions when he is lost for words. He's really cool.

Sweetness! I knew there were other SG-1 fans out there somewhere...

Stargate rocks! There's a stargate thread in the Movies and TV sectio of this forum. Its sorta active.

((If I join, could I become Danila Jackson's girlfrien, or even an old friend from school who he was in love with and dated before she moved, so she shows up and they pick off from where they started. If its ok with Nauriel Rochnur that is.))

Apperance. Brown wavy hair. Grey eyes. slenderish. slightly shorter then average. Wears jeans loafers, and 1/4 sleeve shirts most of the time.

Skills, weapons. Has a hand gun, started having one after house was robbed. Really good with computers and has great knowgge of legends and myths of all sorts. She can aslo speak Japanese, and anceit Egyptain.

History. Dated Daniel in Junior and high school and for two years after. the her family had two move, seperating both. She has always thought of him. Recently her talents has landed her a job with SG1.

(Mari, can we put your charrie with SG-12 because it wouldn't be realistic throwing another civilian in with SG-1 on a rescue mission?)

As for locations: SG-1 is getting ready to go through the stargate, and SG-12 (Mari and three others) is on a Goa'uld mother ship orbiting the planet)

Sam fastened her vest over her dull green jacket, tightening several of the numerous straps on it. "So, Colonel," she began, "what's the plan? We're pretty sure that SG-12 was transported up to a Goa'uld mother ship. This could be tricky, sir."

Margaret sighed in her cell. Three weeks on the job and she, as well as the other three members of her team, had been captured. Yet she couldn't help thinking that all of this wouldn't have happened if she hadn't moved with her family, but stayed with her boyfriend of almost 7 years. She had met Daniel Jackson in grade 7, after a year of being friends they started dating in grade 8. She had loved him, and still did. "What are you doing now Daniel?" she asked no one.

Jack looked over to Carter with and paused a bit before speaking. "Well... I had resucing them in mind..." he said sarcasticly as he checked his equipmet.
