This is an RPG based roughly on the book Anthem. It is based on a society where individuality is forbidden and everyone is equal. My character is Independance 0003-987 aka Aranelia. you can read more about this RPG in the help and ideas thread under new RPG idea. Everyone is welcome to join.

Independance 0003-987 or Aranelia, she called herself in secret, sat in the plain white classroom fingering the material of her plain white dress. The teacher was lecturing in the same monotonous voice that she always did. Aranelia could not pay attention anymore. She had heard the same words many times before. The teacher had to move at a slow pace because it was a crime for one child to know more than another of his or her same age. Aranelia was extremely intelligent, but she was punished for showing it. So she continued to stare at the walls absentmindedly untill a ruler cracked on her desk. "Independance 0003-987, pay attention or I will send you to the House of Student Corrections. Our lesson isn't boring you is it?" Aranelia stared at her hands. "No," she lied. She did not want to be punished again.

(I like ur idea about wut u said under the other section, about us being sisters, but no1 knows, but idk where to come in.......(sorry, not the brightest person, lol ) any ideas?)

That's okay, neither am I. lol You can be in this classroom or you can be somewhere else and we can meet later. If you choose the last option, after you post I'll like fast forward time a little bit so we can meet up. Either one is fine with me.

(ok! I guess i'll be in a diff. classroom.......but then how would we meet? & wut child # am i again? since we're sisters, does it matter, or do our #'s need to be close together? )

You know I thought of Ayn Rand when I saw the title of this. I'm reading Atlas Shrugged right now but I did read Anthem and the Fountainhead. I'll be Fidelity 1-0006. Fidelity 1-0006 was sitting in a classroom where the teacher droned on and on. He were boring but Fidelity 1-0006 could say anything against them. His own intelligence was a sin, a sin the Councils did not look kindly on.

(just a reminder if this is based on Anthem, there is no individualism, meaning I becomes we, he, she, or it becomes they.)

Cassandra or Liberty 0003-788 sat in the middle of the sickingly white classroom as she pretended to listen to the teacher lecture. After so many years of going to this 'school' she had learned how to shut off the outside world and focus on her thoughts. This was the only time she could really think for herself and wasn't about to lose the opportunity.

"Independence 0003-987, pay attention or I will send you to the House of Student Corrections. Our lesson isn't boring you is it?"

The voice of her teacher calling out a student woke her from her reverie and she couldn't help but feel sympathetic to the girl next to her.

Frost Lord- thanks for the reminder. I totally forgot. But since not everyone who is joining this RPG will have read Anthem, let's just keep using personal pronouns. I think it could get really confusing if we didn't. Btw, I'm not doing it exactly like the book or anything.
pip&leggyluvr-we can meet up when classes are over we all sleep in the same building, so we can meet then. Your name does not matter, just make something up. In fact, I am going to change mine to Independance (kind of ironic, isn't it?). Examples from the book are equality, fraternity, freedom, and liberty.
Alexandra- All of that is okay, except your outfit in the picture. Check the other thread in the help and ideas section (it is under new RPG idea). There is no individuality so everyone dresses alike.

(what does that mean "no individuality" I thought it meant you weren't allowed to show it but inside you could be individual)

hope 0091-070 went back to her class to be bored with the same old lecture but she dared not say it again she had daydreamed about nice colorful clothes and a world where you could show who you were on the outside and not get punished for saying the teacher's lecture's were boring (ironic isn't it)

That's sounds cool. Pip&leggyluvr- you can also come in at lunch. Just remember if we all talk it will have to be in secret because of the Transgression of Preference. I think I explained that in the other thread, but I'll say it again anyway. It is where you cannot hold one person above another. Basically no one is allowed to have any real freinds. I'm not sure exactly how they would eat lunch so I'll just make something up.

*time fastforward* Independance 0003-987 made her way to her assigned seat at the lunch table. She began to eat the cold sandwich that they were served everyday. It made her want to throw up. She pushed the food aside and began to study the people sitting around her.

Liberty 0003-788 ate the routine lunch without comment or grimace. As well as learning to block out her teachers she also learned to devoid herself of taste. It hurt her to lose her senses like this but it’s not like she could do anything to change this, or could she?
