Dove looked up at the man and tried to smile, but it came out as a grimace and a wince. "No, no others are here, but...my back. The scars, and the new whipmarks. They are hurting." she paused, hoping she could trust him. "I'm a runaway slave." |

"I don't have a family," Mirna said softly. She looked up at the woman. She looked like she wanted an explanation. "I don't even remember my parents. They died long ago. And my brother was fighting Bracus soldiers when he was..." Mirna's eyes filled with tears but she forced herself not to shead any. "Killed." |

Plant turned round to look at her. "I am here to help you. You may leave if you wish, i do not hold you against your will." He placed his hand on his heart. "I only wish to help. My name is Duke Plant." He turned and began walking to the small tavern. "Come. We are out in the open, I will tell you more inside." |
