There was a lot of commotion going on at Cair Paravel that morning, even though it was still really early. Everyone was rushing about, taking care of last minute preparations for the celebration later on that evening, so it was hard to even hear yourself think. "Oh bother, this is almost as bad as the day of the coronation.." Felicity murmured, hurrying down the hallway and stopping outside her cousin's room, before knocking.

"Come in," called Evelyn, fumbling with the laces in the back of her bodice. She turned. "Oh, Felicity," she said happily. "Would you close that door and help me with my dress here?" she asked.

Felicity nodded and closed the door behind her, then walked over to her cousin. "You'd think it was the coronation all over again in the Great Hall and out in the hallways.." Felicity said, shaking her head, as she helped Evelyn with her dress.

Evelyn laughed. "Yeah, sounds like it. But don't forget - it's the High King's birthday," she said. "Though, I have to admit, it <i>is</i> a bit of a fuss for 10:00 in the morning...<i>ow</i>, not so tight, I've had more pastries than <i>that</i>, dear," she said, laughing.

Evelyn laughed. "It's alright. Took me about six months to actually get used to it, myself...poor Susan. I can't tell you how much she had to put up with with me. There you are," she said, feeling her dress finally laced up. She turned to face her cousin. "What do you think?" she asked.

Felicity stifled a sigh quickly. "The only thing you can help me with right now is picking out what I'm going to wear tonight..everything else I pretty much have to do by myself."

"Oh," said Evelyn. "Oh, that'll be easy..." she said, waving her hand as if it were nothing. "Come on - I already have it picked out in my mind." And with that, she grabbed her cousin's wrist and led her to her own room.

Evelyn led her into her room, closed the door, and went straight for her wardrobe. "Now, let's see....ah, yes, this dress.....and this for your hair.....and...er....ah! There they are. These shoes," she said, pulling out various things. "There you are. Put the dress on, and I'll help you with your hair."
