Cocuam is an indian who mostly stays away from everyone else, mostly cause their to serious, his best friend Meko always asks him when he is ever going to grow up, but Cocuam just laughs saying that people never grow up, only their images do... One day when the Cheif was coming home with the warriors, Cocuam was standing on a high cliff watching them, Meko was waiting for Cocuam to come down from the cliff and yelled 'COCUAM! YOUR FATHER IS COMING!' Cocuam looked down at Meko and nodded his pet racoon was playing around in the flowers, Cocuam started to walk down the cliff when he got a good idea, he ran and jumped off the cliff into the river, Meko who was in a canoe looked around saying 'Cocuam.. are you ok?' Cocuam was swiming underneath the canoe and turned it over, Meko landed under the water then came up for air 'COCUAM! dont you think we are to old for these games?' Meko asked, Cocuam laughed saying "no... we all stay as a child inside but some of us are to afraid to let it out sometimes... " Meko sighed he wasnt going to argue 'come on... help me turn the canoe over, they turned the canoe over and climbed into it, as they paddled down the river, the deer and other animals played around, as soon as the came to the shore they tied the canoe to a tree and left it their walking up to camp, something wasnt right and Cocuam was sensitive to change "something isnt right..." Cocuam muttered, he walked up to the clan of indians, his father was talking amoung them 'The white men are coming... do not go near them, if any of you report something wrong about them then we will attack...' Cocuam wasnt sure about this as soon as the meeting was over he walked over to the pond, his father had followed him 'Cocuam... promise me you wont go after them...' his father knew him to well, mostly cause of the things he had done "yes father, i promise..." The next day: Ships came in and forts were build, tho Cocuam had promised his father that he wouldnt go near them, he was curious about them, he hid on a big rock that he thought that no one could see him, right in front of him a woman standing in a tree, Cocuam backed away into a bush to hide hoping that the she wouldnt see him, tho he was curious about them, he still feared them, his pet racoon ran off after the woman, Cocuam tried to stop him, but didnt get him in time, as the woman turned around after the racoon had bumped into her, she said 'oh... hello little fellow... ' she kneeled down and gave the racoon a piece of bread, as soon as the woman looked up, Cocuam didnt have time to hide, he started to run off 'no... wait... dont run off..' she ran off after Cocuam, Cocuam climbed into the canoe right before the woman said 'come on... i will not hurt you... let me help you...' Cocuam looked over at the woman, the woman smiled at him and held out hrt hand to help Cocuam out, he hesitated but grabed ahold of the womans hand to help him out, he stood there looking at the woman... Cocuam listened to the wind as if it were guiding him... (someone needs to be the woman...) |
