Triple post! ARRRGH....
*clears throat*
So, Helda is likely to seek out Rie-Zunic, troubled herself.
Could be interesting if she encountered Almara too, but didn't want to insert her into the exchange currently underway between your two charries.
Thoughts?

Lol, Sorry, (As you probably see) I tend to forget to check this every time I log on! Sounds good to me, go for it! If Helda happens to barge in on their exchange, it just throws an extra curve in the road. I'm good with that. As for where that would go, I have some thoughts. Rie-Zunic, having always been a loyal guard, does personaly think it best for the royalty to marry "pure" bloodlines. Though he would never say as much, due to his position. Now that he finds his ancestry (Thanks to Almara) is from peligrim (sp?) and his kin would be memerbs (likely) of the ships guildsman, then seeing Amarwen being forced into her situation without the knowledge of why, there have been a few seeds of doubt planted in his mind. Almara is there to water those seeds, but in her own mind, she loves Rie-Zunic, and so is readying herself to abandon her new found preference of the guildsman's "pure blood" politics all for the sake of love. She has discovered that she is an illegitimate child of Aldamir. (This could or could not be true. Possibly this information was planted by the guildsmen to use towards their own ends.) Either way, Almara is now wondering if she should reaffirm her loyalty to the crown, while still trying to convince Rie-Zuic and herself that the pure blood is more noble. She thinks if she can convince Rie-Zunic to join her, then she will be sure in her decision. All that being said, Helda could easily influence these thoughts for either character due to her actions.

Cool - thanks Jax....I'll head over to double post to insert Helda...who had her own doubts about this until she found out that Aldamir was the man Amarwen was to be wed to...Helda is fiercely loyal to Aldamir (she's fierce about most things), but she's somewhat of a double bind. For in addition to her own distaste for the notion, she has something of a debt of honour to Amarwen - who freed her from the watch house. Should Helda discover that Aldamir has an illegitimate heir abandoned to an orphanage, that would strain her relationship with Aldamir.

So Helda is in situ with Rie & Almara...and Halvarin and Amarwen have slipped forward to midnight at Dome of Stars.

Sorry, I've been rather sick as of late. :/ Starting to get over it. I got a short post in.
As for Helda finding g out about Almara, that could play in as the conversation progresses. I left it rather open with my last post.

So, left a hook for Calimir's new "personal guard"...

So wasn't sure if Almara would jump in after Amarwen or remain behind.

So I tweaked it a bit....gave it time to pass so that the boat launched with the midnight tide...removed reference to seeing shieldmaidens in the passing troops too, so perhaps they're still out there to find a bedraggled, water logged person (maybe two if Almara also jumped ship) dragging themselves ashore.

All good Jax - interesting scenario. Working out currently what Amarwen would make of finding herself in a boat with Rie-Zunic and what she might do about it...

I thought I may add somewhat of a twist to it. Rie-Zunic was bound to be sent looking along with many guards once they found Amarwen missing. I figured it would be a good time to bring him in.
