Greetings to all!

"On the High Seas - A Fourth Age RP" was originally a RPG started by Merides. However, Merides seems to have sadly disappeared from AU about seven months ago. :(
Recently, though, there has been quite a bit of interest in this particular RP, and Syneva Lindenshield and I thought that, with a bit of tweaking and a few changes, this exciting RP might be able to get up and running at last.

So, without further ado, I'll give a brief synopsis of the plot line.
It is 75 years after the War of the Ring. The reunited kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor have prospered under the rule of King Elessar and Queen Arwen. The rule of Rohan has passed to Eomer and Lothiriel's son, Elfwine, but the relationship between Gondor and Rohan is still strong. The care of Ithilien has now passed on to the descendants of the deceased Faramir and Eowyn. Stories from the War are now slowly becoming legends, but one problem is looming that cannot be ignored. Out in the west seas, the Corsairs of Umbar are growing in strength and numbers, and their pillaging and raiding is plaguing the coastline. King Elessar has sent out a missive to all ship captains, calling all able-bodied seafarers to his aid.

In this RP, we'll need plenty of sailors of every kind, from captains to cabin boys! You can either join an existing ship, or you may start one of your own. Both non-pirates and pirates are welcome! If someone would also be willing to take on King Elessar, Arwen, Elfwine, or any of the above, go right on ahead! King Elfwine of Rohan probably will not end up being a major character, though, but we could arrange it differently. ;)

As of yet, we've got two ships going out, the Curon, captained by my character, Indilwen, and the Black Star, captained by Syneva's Starflite.

Ship: The Curon
Appearance: Long, black hair, pale skin, green eyes. A long, thin red scar extends down one elegant cheekbone. She has an aloof beauty, and is tall and slim of stature.
Personality: Intelligent, haughty. Can handle a blade and a longbow. Dangerous to get into an argument with; could easily end in her opponent's death.
History: Comes from Lothlorien. She did not go with the rest of her people to the Grey Havens, choosing however in the days of peace to lead a life of adventure. Joined Indilwen's crew many years ago, and has served her captain faithfully.

Appearance: lean, tall, and muscular figure, tattoo covering half of her face (tattoo is black swirly designs starting from around her eye), long black hair, blue eyes

Physical Description: Arandur is very pale with blue eyes, and silver hair. He has a scar on his right knee from a Corsair, and has a patch of brunt skin oh his shoulder from a missile.
Garb: He wears black, knee-high boots with steel toes, a plain white shirt, a black leather vest, a pair of black trousers, and a brown leather headband to keep his long hair out of his face.
Weapons: A elven cutlass, a hunting dagger, and a boarding axe.
Pesonality: Arandur is a very serious, and cannot deal with jokes towards the mission, nor his people or disposition. He is rarely amused and distrustworthy of strangers.
Homeland: The Grey Havens
History: Born early in the Second Age, Arandur was one of the first of Cirdan's people to be born in Mithlond. At an early age, he and his older brother Durion showed an affinity for sailing. At the age of 150, Arandur travelled out of the Havens, exploring the shore and nearby Sea. For several millenea, he and his brother travelled several times to Numenor, until the reign on Tar-Calion. Soon after, he and Durion made it thier mission to patrol the coast, and keep it safe from Sauron's clutches, encountering and battling Corsairs many times, while using Mithlond as a home port. However, when the War of the Last Alliance came to be, the two brothers left the ship to fight alongside Gil-Galad. However, when Durion was killed in the final battle, Arandur abandoned his seafaring fro several centuries. Gradually, he was convinced by his wife that he would honour his brother's memory better by doing what they had both loved. So, riding to Dol Amroth, Arandur signed aboard the Curon to help with Gondor's effort to extinguish the Corsairs of Umbar.
