Something of a Les Miserables/ Tale of Two Cities/ Scarlet Pimpernel feel. From dueling in the streets to revolutions, secret societies, factions, soldiers heros and general drama. It could be very interesting.

This would be my first RP ever, so please post suggestions, hints, etc. etc.

Those are all very different themes that you mention. I, personally, love the BBC series of the Scarlet Pimpernel. So I might be interested in starting such a RPG.

I'll be gone for two weeks though.. but if you are still interested in starting one then, we can figure a plot out :)

If you have another idea please post. If you want to put a character in one of these categories please post it and other character information.

__________________________

Plot: This starts shortly before the French Revolution. Revolutionaries try stirring up the lower class against the aristocracy. The government clamps down on the people as the underground tries to smuggle the innocent out to England as well as other nations. Meanwhile the crooks of the city try to profit off of the chaos in any way they can.

Depending on how it goes this will continue through the napoleonic wars; people can sign up to fight. After this the French Nationalist Revolution occurs. Finally things settle down as France enters it's decline.

All of the going on in this setting should be realistic, but there is a large leeway as to what you can make the individual dramas do. This is just historical framework for the many dramas going on at the time

Also, you'll notice that this covers the period of many famous books like Tale of Two Cities, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Les Miserables

So what do you think?
