Hello every one! Next sunday I'm going to the biggest Fantasy Fair in my country and I'm reeaallly excited! Every year, they're organising a LARP fight and I'm planning on participating in 2012. So I still have a whole year to practice my fighting skills and to think of a costume. But I need your help! I want to have a costume in which I can fight, but it also has to look very cool. But most cool outfits are really heavy and big.. Does anyone have ideas or some pictures for inspiration? Thanks^^ |

I thinking of arwen's riding costume when she goes to the ford, it is meant to be light! I tried to get a picture but got a sight look at it http://www.shadowdalecreations.com/lordoftherings.htm Or something a bit more boyish, but just do type in the search engine female warrior costume (groan), if you want to fight i was thinking of what elizabeth wore in pirates of the Caribbean films, not the dresses but the lose shirts and army jackets, trousers with a belt around the middle? |

I was looking at Arwens costume earlier and I do have some pictures of it for inspiration. It's a good outfit and I might do something similar to that. But a coat may be to warm, so I don't know about that yet. And something pirate-ish is also very cool! If I wouldn't fight, I'd wear an over-the-top pirate costume, but I guess I could make it less awesome and more wearable for a fight. Good ideas! Thanks^^ I'll consider them in my calculations. |

There's Eowyn's Orc Killing Outfit, that was never featured in the movies. It mainly consists of the corset/shirt thing on her shield maiden dress and the blue underdress(which is actually split into four sections up the the waist) of her refugee dress(as worn in your avatar) with trousers and pants. Simple and light. Though not much armor value but the swords are padded, right? |
